At the wide green lawn of Min mansion, a black Mercedes pulled over right in front of the red carpet laid at the main entrance. The celebration was yet to begin. Not many people were present except for immediate family members and some waiters or waitresses.
The chauffeur opened the door and a man with an aura of a king walked out. His presence was overbearing and his face looked way too handsome to be true. He put those celebrities to shame with his daring feature. His eyes were deep purple in color. They looked menacing.
Adamson Lee walked to the main entrance, he was greeted by the head butler himself. And not long after, a man in his forties came forward. There appeared a wide smile on his face. He seemed very pleased to see Adamson Lee, the chairman of Lee Group in his house right at this moment.
"Welcome to my humble home, chairman Lee. How is the trip here? I hope there was no difficulty on the road.", the CEO of Min Corporation, Matthew Min said. He sounded very jubilant.
He escorted Adamson down the hallway, where some eyes were watching them in great wonder and surprise. Mostly the women.
"There's no difficulty at all.", was all he said. Adamson went silent for the whole way to the private room.

"Where's dad?", Olivia was talking to one of the waitresses when Liam stepped in and asked about their father.
"I don't know. Butler Yang said he's with a guest.", Olivia said, referring to the head butler of Min house.
Liam just nodded, and he went about his way. He had made a grand plan to ditch the party to play with his cat, but he was suddenly called from behind. There he saw his mother, walking down the stairs that was at the center of the big hallway.
She was gaining attention from all of the guests who had just arrived. Since her dress was very elegant and her choice of color was brilliant. It was thanks to her son though.
Liam cracked up a smile to which his mother noticed the coercion within. Gina Min heaved a slight sigh. She had heard some nasty rumours about her son not being straight.
What made her more angry was the fact that her son didn't do anything to repel the rumour at all. As a madam of Min family, she was very troubled when such rumour circulated around the upper society.
All of them were unaware of the fact that it was Liam himself who spread the rumour. It was not quite a good idea but it was effective in shooing away all the women that flocked to him like a raven did to its prey.
"Hey mom, you're looking gorgeous tonight!", Liam said, there was a sarcastic tone lingering in his voice.
"Why, thank you. The dress you chose is pretty.", Gina Min smiled. She was so going to smash his new McLaren GT when she had a chance.
She was worried about him but he acted nonchalant? Fine, his car will be the victim.
Olivia saw some fire inside the mother and son's eyes. She sighed. This mother-son pair was always bickering and not once were they able to stand on the same side together. Her mother had once smashed Liam's Nissan GT-R to which he smashed her mother's jewelry box to return the 'favour'.
Liam couldn't stand his mother's temper but he never moved out from the main mansion. When she asked why he didn't move out to find his own place, his answer was clear; he wanted to stay just to pick a fight with a certain someone (his mother).
The party proceeded with some light speech from Liam (because he didn't have a choice but to take his father's place). He wondered who was so important that his father could missed the event and went to the private casual meeting instead.
"Lucy! There you are!", Olivia was jumping in delight when she saw her best friend.
Lucy had just arrived but the stares from others made her ready to go back home right then. She forced a smile upon seeing Olivia. Gosh.. Olivia was beautiful. Her wavy blond hair was styled in a braid updo, leaving some strands of hair untouched that fell to both of her shoulders.
She looked like a noble's sheltered daughter. And Olivia was being serious when she said she will wear something more sexy than Lucy's dress.
It was a pink backless prom dress. Her back was bare for everyone to see, the pink garment complimented the fine arts of her skin color. It was a pleasure to the eye, especially for the men. Olivia had always have a face so beautiful, following her Eurasian lineage from her mother's side.
And despite her past experience in the mountain, Olivia had learnt to maintain her inner beauty to the finest. Though she was still reluctant to jump into any relationship, she was fine with bragging about her charming body.
"How do I look? Pretty right? Don't worry Lucy, I'm here to back you up.", she said, chuckling.
"Yes yes.. whatever.", Lucy forced herself to keep smiling. She really didn't like this type of event..
Not long after, a woman past forty came towards them. She wore a light blue bodycon dress, with a bell sleeve long to the wrist . She was beautiful despite being in her forties. She was to be fifty soon, but her flawless image was still up for any competition.
"Lucy, welcome. It's nice to finally see you. You never make it to the ball before.", Gina Min said. She knew how much her daughter treasured Lucy Kim.
Min family was not that acquainted with Kim family since their line of business was far apart. But they were able to close the distance through the friendship of their daughters. Now Gina Min was a friend to both Annie and Leah Kim.
Lucy wore a genuine smile and she bowed slightly to the madam of the house.
"Nice to see you too, madam Min. You look pretty tonight. The blue suits you very much.", Lucy said honestly. She knew from whom Olivia inherited such beautiful oval face.
"You flatter me, dear. It's Liam's choice.", said madam Min. She looked proud of her son no matter how many times they had quarreled before.
