Chapter 7 - Self-Reflection

Chapter Seven

After the first half or four hours of training, the HR called them for their Job order, quick physical exam, and various tests. After three hours of testing, waiting, and having their quick meal, they get back to their training. At eight o'clock in the evening, the HR called them again for their signing bonus. She was shocked. Her financial problem was solved. As she walked back home, she decided to treat herself out. It's raining again. She's looking outside with a small smile on her lips. She let out a soft breath – a sign of relief. She gets her Starbucks planner and starts to write.

"Hi Sassah. You're in awe now. I can't keep track of what will happen next. Things just happen just like flipping a page of a book and see what happens next. Everything seems instant. I don't know if it's good or not. It's all too good to be true. I thought that having conflict with my parents will make me beg in life. I did prepare myself mentally that everything will be difficult and now, I don't know. It's like… I imagine things and it will fall into my laps just like that. Above all, I am just grateful.

You know sassah, as I gave up my religious community early this year because of some misbeliefs, then left my beloved jobs, I also need to give up my apartment because it seems everything falls apart. I was scared and on the bridge of losing hope. Then when I came back home, I had a feud with my parents and we hurt each other. Our beloved family is now ruined. Before, I could confidently hold my head high and brag that I have an awesome family even if you are poor. Now, I may have it all but not my loving family anymore. I don't know what's happening now in our family. But I know that all I need is to focus on living my new life now. Yeah, - focus. You are always unable to finish things because you always lost focus, interest, and determination to achieve your goal!

Love,

SELF

She finished her thoughts and so did her food. Loud sounds are everywhere. It is like a new year for everybody. There's an urge to message her siblings but the secretive character of her suppresses the feeling. She went home and talked to her landlady if she knew a studio type apartment within the area.

The landlady recommended the sturdy spiral apartment four blocks away a little farther but more comfortable so she grabbed it and relocated instantly. Her landlady is so nice that she returned half of her deposit since the owner of the apartment is a relative too.

"This is so nice, thank you…"

"It's suey."

" Oh, thank you auntie suey, you can call me sassah."

"Welcome sassah… hope you enjoy it there."

"Yeah… I hope it can make me feel - I belong there." She answered.

The place is ideal. It is located in the middle of the public market and three big well known malls. Aside from that there's a park some blocks away from her place. It's just that it's way more expensive than her previous transients. She's just thinking that she is not just for space but also for privacy and security. There's nothing in the room. No appliances at all. Only the four bulbs in the living room, restroom, bedroom, and small terrace. She locked the main door and sat on the floor. She has nothing from the pillow and all.

"Why are you impulsive? Why left in the middle of the night bitch? Hays…whatever!"

She forced herself to get up to list down the things she should buy.
