Chapter 1 - Dreams

Chapter One

I remember when I was a kid... life is beautiful, exciting, and happy. My time with my siblings and friends was awesome as ever!

"Hey! Sassah, why are you always playing with us? Aren't you a girl? You should play with girls... you know?" Mac whispered.

"Why?! Don't you like to play with me?! I'm done playing with my sisters and besides this game is way more exciting than playing Barbie dolls!"

She replied proudly with a smirk and turned her back annoyedly at him.

"Mac, she likes playing with me because she doesn't want me to become gay!" Kento replied on her behalf while laughing. He's my cute little only brother.

"Hey... it's not like that. You're also playing barber with us and you played Ken, remember?! Sassah denied it and teased him in return.

"It's just that, this game is more exciting! We're like soldiers defending our territories." She said bravery and proudness were visible in her eyes.

They are playing a team game. The two teams need to defend their respective bases or territories while hunting their opponent or aiming to take over their opponent's territories or base. Some members run to hunt opponents while some members will stay in the base to defend it and guard the captured prisoners.

It was a classic and inexpensive game in the 1990s where players will not use any other things such as guns to take over their opponents, they only need to touch their opponent by hand and bring it to their base and you only need to touch your captured opponent in the base prison save them or release them.

A teammate can release or save an ally by touching the captured while shouting SAVE and the newly released ally needs to run back to the base before engaging back in the game. To win the game, you need to conquer the opponent base and shout BASED! This game is about speed, flexibility, and tactics.

"You're like a boy you know... you like to play with us. We are all boys. You even play basketball and have some fights with us." Mac argues and Rolly only agrees who is sitting behind Aly and her brother Kento.

"Whatever your opinion! Let's go back to the game! We'll make sure to bring Sam's team down and win this battle!" Sassah proclaimed and totally discarded Mac's accusations.

I remember when I was a kid, I was so into this game... game of winning and winning whatever it is and with whomever I wish. I was young, competitive and tough for a girl. But most of it, I actually wanted to play with my brother Kento in whatever games he was playing because I don't want him to feel alone and I don't want him to be left behind with us girls. We are five siblings and he's the only guy among us four beautiful girls.

I want him to enjoy his childhood too like us girls. How I wish we can bring him with us when we go on our little adventure in that subdivision behind the mango farm, stealing fruits so we won't starve when we are in our little adventure. I chucked and laughed as I remembered.

Like some 1990s kids, we enjoy our childhood in simple and little things for free like swimming in the muds, stagnant water from the evening rains that formed a little river that we enjoyed back then while having our mini picnic with our neighborhood friends.

I always remember how I was a kid, and how I loved those memories.

"Damned it! Ron is really slow and stupid! He's a prisoner now!." Sassah shouted angrily while stamping her foot angrily.

"We need to save him! She laid out her plan.

"Hey, Aly and Mac, defend our base. I go behind them by this route and kento, go on this side and pretend that you will save that stupid Ron. And run in a different direction as fast as you can! Get it?!"

"Yes, captain!"

We started my plan. We ran as fast as we could. Back in high school, I was a track and field player.

Sassah disappeared and did a sneak attack on Sam's team. Their base is located in a small mango tree in which every area is open for a sneak attack while her base is located at the back of an empty dog house where no sneak attack can be done as they're not open for multiple access but in two-way access - front and back access only.

She uses her brother to lure their opponent to hunt him down while she silently went behind that small mango tree and to save Ron. She shouted SAVE and touched Ron to free him from being a prisoner, he needs to go back to their base which is one of the rules of the game. She runs to the other side to hide. Their opponent's guard shouted angrily when Ron was saved.
