Gary had been following Alina, Ruby and Salem for a while.
'Based on their actions, they seem to be actual Inquisitors.' He thought to himself. 'How did they become Inquisitors?'
Having no answer, he merely followed them to the Sunset hotel.
They talked to the receptionist and waited patiently for her to do a task.
They each stood perfectly still as they waited for the receptionist to complete the task that was given to her.
She told them something and all three of them departed rapidly to wherever it was they were going.
....
Gary didn't see them for another four hours.
During his four-hour wait, he tried to ask the receptionist who they were after, but to no avail.
She was tight-lipped about the three of them and refused to even say where they went, although the screams made it easty to track them down.
Sneakily glancing in the door, he saw a famous slave ring underling being tortured mercilessly.
He almost felt pity for the man, who's name was Womble. Almost.
'That could have been me, had I interacted with them in that wasteland and let anything slip.' He shuddered.
Slipping away, he waited for them Womble to break so he could continue to follow them.
....
Hours later, they departed.
'The receptionist recieved an entire gold coin for her troubles and she has the absolute GALL to look troubled!' Gary mentally exclaimed. 'It seems that the man in the middle is rich, or he wouldn't hand out gold coins so easily.'
He hurriedly followed them, which wasn't particularly difficult, especially since the crowd gave them a wide berth.
'Hold up.' He paused. 'Isn't this the direction of the King's mansion? What the hell did the King do that was bad enough for at least two legitiment Inquisitors to deal with it at the same time?'
He began to contemplate leaving.
'No.' He came to a decision and continued following. 'I need this information so I can finally live the rest of my life in peace.'
Steeling himself, he continued to follow them.
