Salem looked at his system notifications.
"I was right." He said, both happy and unhappy he was correct. "I needed to traverse dimensions to increase my comprehension to a hundred percent."
Alina looked at him, shocked for amoment, before remembering who she was standing next to and nodding in acceptance.
"I should try and max my Necromancy comprehension too." Salem said, contemplatatively.
"This isn't the place for this." Alina said. "Let's look around and see what's up with this world."
"Why don't we skip this world and go onto the next?" Ruby asked. "That would be easier, wouldn't it?"
Salem looked at her and thought a bit.
"While it would be easier, I would like to explore this world." He said. "There is so much to learn and discover. I want to learn it all."
Ruby nodded in understanding and fell into step behind him as he led the way into the bustling crowd behind the bend in the alleyway, pointedly ignoring the fact that his statement was incredibly cheesey.
Salem elected to keep his bugs around to observe what was happening around him so he could avoid another dumbass rapist situation.
Salem noted two people well within earshot who were stealthily trailing them.
"By the way, I don't want you two to kill anyone unless they attack you or I say you can." Salem said, giving both of the girls a look. "We don't want a situation like the last guy, okay?"
The two girls nodded in assent.
The two people who were trailing them paused as if they were contemplating whether or not it was worth it to continue following them.
Salem chuckled lightly, noting their torn expressions and placed a bug on each of them.
Salem began asking around for rooms or places to stay.
Salem was the only person who talked during their time in the filthy streets. This drew a lot of attention from some shady characters.
Two beauties that probably couldn't speak following a sixteen year old boy? This sounded to them like a free meal.
Salem copied the coins he observed being exchanged and used them to pay for a hotel room.
The hotel was apperently the best in town, a fact that Salem doubted as soon as he saw the room.
The room was four meters in width and five in length, the floor was covered in strange-looking stains, the sheets were filthy, discoloured, and likely bug-ridden.
Salem closed the door and used his nanomachines to cover the entirety of the room with black-coloured metal.
The metal made it so they wouldn't touch the filthy floors and bed; a fact that the girls clearly appreciated.
Salem proceeded to make another bed that was clean and a pure white. When Ruby jumped onto it she sank into it.
"Wow." Alina exclaimed as Ruby extricated herself from the bed. "That is one hell of a squishy bed."
Ruby finally managed to escape the bed, panting lightly. "I think we need a less soft bed." She declared, turning red when Salem snorted.
"Thank you, Captain Obvious." Salem said.
Ruby turned even redder.
Alina stepped in with a change of subject. "This room makes you miss the one back in Cardinal, doesn't it?" She questioned the two of them.
"Yeah." Ruby said, glancing in disgust at the covered bed.
"This room makes the floors of the hotel in Cardinal lool like a place you could eat from." Salem said.
"That's gross." Alina remarked.
"But it's true." Ruby said.
"That's fair." Alina replied, stripping and climbing into the now-firmer matress.
Alina's olive brown rump was a sight to behold as she climbed towards the center of the bed.
Both Ruby and Salem watched her get into bed.
Ruby copied Alina and Salem watched her crawl into the bed before he crawled in with them.
The two nude girls curled up against him while he pulled the sheets over the three of them.
He bid them good night and fell asleep comfortably in the comfort of their embrace.
