It took four hours of torture for Womble to finally break.
During the interrogation, the hobbit man didn't wake up. The whole four hours of screams and torture he didn't wake up.
While they found this odd, they didn't commemt until they had broken Womble.
"Are you finally ready to talk?" Ruby asked with a sigh.
"Yes!" Womble shouted. "Yes!"
"Good." Alina smiled. "Where is Rothschild?"
"He's in the King's residence for a meeting!" Womble desperately said. "He will leave tomorrow night!"
Nodding to himself, Salem asked a few more questions.
"Who's this dude and why hasn't he woken up?" He gestured to the Hobbit who was still snoring peacefully.
"That's Hobbes." Womble replied, relieved he had an answer to Salem's questions. "He doesn't wake up unless someone says a specific set of words."
"Huh." Salem said, unconvinced.
Deciding he shouldn't waste more time, he left Hobbes and Womble in the building.
As he left, he had Reaper absorb the 'bone cuffs' and assimilate into his shadow.
When they reached the lobby, Salem noted the receptionist freeze at the sight of them.
For some reason he found that amusing and chuckled quietly.
Alina and Ruby also noticed her reaction, but Ruby didn't laugh and Alina just smiled.
Salem paused for a moment.
"Where is the king's residence?" Salem asked her.
"At the center of the city. Go a few blocks Southwest and you'll see it." Her face shone with a light coating of sweat.
"Thanks." Salem said, flipping a gold coin in her direction.
The receptionist was shocked that an Inquisitor had thanked her. She wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
As they left, she fingered the coin and wondered what problem was big enough for three Inquisitors to tackle it at once.
She hoped she wouldn't ever have to find out.
