Emma held her breath till she sat down with the couple.
"How was your night, baby?" Smith asked, with a sweet heart melting smile.
"Fine, daddy." Emma said, but her inside felt twisted. It doesn't feel right, but that was how Olivia replied to their questions.
She was sitting closer to her Laura's arm's reach, where the woman ran her fingers through her hair and smiled at her softly.
Her eyes carried a hint of proudness. Her daughter and her husband were her whole world.
Emma felt warm from the affection, while Smith was setting plates in front of them. The two maids in waiting, had their heads bow down.
"Thank you." Emma said, as Smith got up from his seat and placed two plates in front of her.
Laura's hand stopped its movement, while Smith couldn't return to his seat as fast as he stood up.
They both looked at Emma, who didn't appear shocked or seemed to do it unintentionally.
She was tasked to help improve Olivia's world and that starts now.
Olivia usually pouted her lips and enjoyed the maid and her parents' serving, but she wasn't brought up that way.
Every little act of kindness, deserves appreciation. She smiled at him and reached out to pick up a plate and set it in front of Smith.
The man's eyes snapped towards his wife, who looked back at him.
The two didn't find her weird, but had their own perverted thoughts.
Their daughter danced with Max yesterday and seemed like a different girl today. It was surely love at first sight.
After relaxing back on their seats, the maids started filling up their plates, while Laura smiled at her husband.
She was hoping to coarse Emma to forget about yesterday event, before proceeding to talking about Max, but it seems like that wouldn't be necessary.
"Baby, do you like Max?" Laura asked.
'What!' Emma exclaimed in her head, but her facial expression twisted.
She felt her heart racing wildly. Could it be that they already know about her plan?
Her thought was different from their own, which resulted to her blinking nonstop and couldn't find her voice.
The two couples were elated.
They were right!
Their daughter's changes are related to the Walker boy.
They wouldn't blame her though, because Max was extremely handsome. It's rare to see women resist him the way Olivia did at the event.
Which of course, was one of the reasons why Max found her weird.
"We would talk after eating. Don't disturb my baby." Smith said, but there was a hint of happiness in his tone.
He couldn't stop smiling, as he picked his cutleries and dived into the food on the table.
They have always been worried about how Olivia's love life would be. She has never dated and doesn't seem like she planned to.
But things had changed. A man has piqued her interest.
Emma, who was sitting in front of her family's dream table, mentally thanked her star that they dropped the topic.
The food on the table was up to 20 different types. She would feel fulfilled if such was placed in front of her own family.
She started eating, while feeling their lingering stare on her.
Immediately they were done, she dab her lips with a kerchief and stood up.
"I would head to my room, now." Emma said, but suddenly paused.
The couple were about to ask her to wait, since they had something to discuss with her, but when they saw her suddenly snapped her head towards them, they decided to let her talk.
"About the number I asked." Emma said.
"We were about to talk to you about Max. Do you want to talk now?" Laura asked.
"At your convenience, baby. I can give you the number right now, while you stated when you feel like hearing us out." Smith added.
"I would like the number first and talk to you guys in the evening." Emma replied, wondering what they wanted to say.
She was still feeling brave to call Max and didn't want to hear something that would dwindle her bravery.
"You can head to your room. I will forward it to Via." Smith said.
Via was the name of Olivia's bot.
She nodded her head slightly and began walking away. She was walking slowly to imitate Olivia, but immediately she got outside the dining, she sprinted away as fast as she could.
"See! I told you." Smith said and Laura nodded her head.
They felt like their daughter was starting to mature.
She just bowed her head.
They couldn't believe it.
It wasn't just the couples that were stunned and excited, the two maids already have something to share with their companions.
It was Olivia who gave the order that they must bow their head and never looked her in the face.
They couldn't recall the last time they looked into her eyes, despite staying under the same roof.
She would have surely complained about one thing or the other. It might be their dressing, food and many more.
She would make sure to say something.
Sounds like the owner.
....
Emma got inside her room and patted her chest.
"Did I make a mistake?" She asked Honey.
"No, you did not." Honey replied.
"Oh my god! I felt so scared. My heart couldn't stop racing. Could it be that they knew something? What did they want to talk about?" Emma asked.
"Host, you would find out when they talked about it." Honey replied.
"Apologies for the silly question." Emma said, and walked towards the configured device.
As promised, Max's number displayed.
"Miss Smith, your father sent you a phone number. Should I read out the number?" Via asked.
Emma quickly reached for Olivia's phone.
Act first and think later.
"Yes, please." Emma replied.
After typing in the numbers, Emma dialed it immediately, while holding her breath.
After two beeps, "hello?" Came Max's deep sexy voice. It sounded like the call disturbed his sleep, since its weekend.
And then, Emma went mute.
She didn't know where to start.
