"What do I do now?" Emma asked no one in particular, since the topic doesn't concern Honey.
She wasn't brave enough to sleep on Olivia's bed or browse her phone. She still felt out of place.
Her hand couldn't stop shaking. Perhaps she should act like the rude Olivia and asked for Smith's phone to call Max.
Yes!
That's possible. She can do it.
All she had to do was try to be around him and seduce him to fall for her. She needed to plan something.
But first, she needed a habit to help seal off her anxiety. It has been a while that it kicked in, this much.
It all started when she was only working to feed her family and then the loan sharks came to threaten her family.
The fear of not meeting up with the agreed date, made her develop anxiety and a part of her felt bad for using her cat to escape it.
She slowly got up and walked towards the balcony to breath in fresh air. She couldn't recall the last time she was at home at this time of the day.
She sat down on an office chair placed outside the balcony, which was set for relaxing and enjoying watching the sky.
A simple glass table was placed in front, while a small bar was at a far end of the space.
Based on Olivia's memory, this was when she did something by herself. She would get a bottle of wine delivered to her room and get a glass from the bar to serve herself.
Emma just sat there and looked up at the clear sky. She felt that the space wasn't actually bad, because she felt less suffocated.
For once, she was actually pissed over the fact that Honey didn't reply to her. She pretended as if she did not exist and just stared blankly at the sky, until she drifted to dreamland.
Her snoring resounded in the whole place, as her neck hung on the chair handle.
She had no idea how long she was asleep, but Via's voice woke her up.
"Miss Smith, your mom asked for you. It's time for lunch."
Via repeated the same message till Emma woke up and got inside the room.
....
"Did I disturb your sleep, honey?" Laura asked, as Emma dragged her feet towards the dining.
"No." Emma replied groggily and walked towards Smith, who pulled out the chair besides him for her and stretched his arms sideways.
Emma felt like these two were the only thing that felt right in this world. They are really good people.
The wealth they possessed didn't affect their ways of thinking at all.
The man did the same thing Laura did in the morning. His fingers ran through her hair dotingly, while the maids set the dishes.
After having their lunch, Emma spoke up. "Can we talk now? About what you mentioned earlier."
The couples' faces lit up. Smith dab his mouth with a kerchief and got up on his feet, "sure, baby." He said and Laura did the same.
Emma was shocked by their enthusiasm.
'What could it be?' She wondered in her head.
She felt like one of her twin sisters when she was taking them for a walk after having free time to spare with her family.
Smith's left hand wrapped around her shoulders intimately, while Laura held her left hand. The two were smiling sweetly.
To be honest, she couldn't help but smile softly. She could feel that they wanted to talk about something that might be too over the board, which was why they are wrapping themselves around her like this.
How cute!
Emma chuckled and couldn't help but enjoy the warmth. It made her miss her mom.
They walked into a wide spacious garden at the back side of the mansion, which could have given Emma another shock if she hadn't accessed Olivia's memories.
Yet, she still blinks repeatedly, because memories couldn't compare with reality. There are different types of flowers, which gives the environment a heart soothing scent.
These people are really wealthy and made good use of it.
There was a round table at a safe distance from the flowers, where one could sit down and enjoy the beautiful scenery, while having a conversation or just having refreshments.
They took their seats around the table which had been set by the maids, as if knowing that they would be coming there.
Smith reached for a carton of strawberry juice and filled up their cups.
Emma was about to thank him, but controlled herself at the last seconds and just ended up bowing her head slightly.
"Baby, what do you think about Max?" Laura asked, while Emma felt their intense gaze fixated on her.
It was as If they weren't expecting her to talk, before getting their answers.
Emma still couldn't look directly into their eyes for long, afraid that they would detect the oddness and started suspecting her.
"Hum…. I don't know." Emma said, and cleared her throat repeatedly, with her heartbeat accelerating.
The couples exchanged perverted glances and smiled mischievously.
"I know you wouldn't like this idea, baby." Smith said and Emma couldn't help but look up at him.
What's going on?
"Max's parents said the girl that you saw yesterday, among Max's men, was a skilled fighter and was good in anything technology related.
I know you're an expert with technology, but there's no harm improving, since it's one of your hobbies. And also, you could train from her.
It would be better than your former males teachers.
And baby, I feel like you could use the freedom from having your guards all around you. You would be under their protection, while I get rid of the people behind all these assassination attempts, without worrying they might try to hurt you, to keep me in place." Smith said.
Emma was shocked, silly.
"But, baby. She lives in Max's villa, which means you will be seeing Max every day till we get rid of whoever those bastards are.
We were scared that you wouldn't agree." Laura added.
"I agree." Emma said immediately.
"Hum...hummm… What I meant was that, I understand why you came up with the plan, so it's fine." Emma added to ease the tension that arose after her enthusiastic reply.
The couples exchanged glances and smiled with their eyes.
They were right about their daughter falling for Max!
"It's okay, baby. We understand." Smith said and couldn't help himself from smiling brightly.
Emma, who was wondering where to start, couldn't believe that everything would be placed on a platter of gold.
A smile couldn't help but blossom on her face. There's no way Max wouldn't fall for her now.
She felt all her bravery kicked in again.
These couples were the best!
