Chapter 43 - Who Are You?

Hahahaha hahahaha

Olivia frowned. She was expecting the whole family to react, but it was Darling's laughter that filled her ear.

She felt so embarrassed that tears threatened to build up in her eyes.

'That shameless girl! She must have made this body shameless…..'

Olivia couldn't complete the cursing, when she saw memories of how Emma excused herself and never made this sort of mistake.

The food tasted different now. She felt like a joke, because the twins hadn't taken their eyes off her own, while the whole place still remained awkwardly quiet.

And then the twins burst into laughter, while Olivia's face began flushing red. How could this be?

She wanted to blame someone, but no one is involved.

But, how can princess Olivia run out of excuses?

Even if there is none, she would create it.

"I need to take a look at the expiring date of the foodstuff. Hmm...hmmm." Olivia said in an arrogant tone and cleared her throat.

Caroline chuckled. "It's okay, honey." She said, understanding how her baby must have felt awkward.

She was the one taking it too far though. If not for the sudden changes in her character, they would have laughed it off and wouldn't have to go silent, like they did.

Olivia began eating her food again, while her mood remained sour. The twins had stopped laughing after Olivia gave the 'expire' excuse.

After she was done with her food, she got up and headed outside the house.

She didn't bother giving orders because she was used to eating and getting the maids clear the table.

She knew the twins would do just that.

The embarrassing event kept replaying in her head, making her to subconsciously close her eyes and grits her teeth, before letting out a soft groan.

She had seen the backyard of the building, being spacious and fitting for practicing her fighting skills.

She could tell that the flexibility of her body remained in her world, while Emma's own that has nearly been exhausted to stiffness, now belongs to her.

She looked around the place.

There are dry leaves all around the floor, as the house isn't very far from forest areas.

Emma had no idea how it came about, but after they couldn't afford paying for the former house that they lived in when her father was still alive and was chased away, Caroline gave her this address and said it was one of her father's property.

Based on the way it was built, it was obvious that the owner owned a farm nearby and built it in case they come visiting, or perhaps they are rich and built it for their workers to store the products from the farm, before processing it for any uses.

Olivia wasn't knowledgeable in all this aspect, but got curious as she shared Emma's memories. She felt like Emma's assumptions were right.

Something isn't right.

Olivia tried to stretch her body and cried out loud. It was as if her bones just dislocated.

"Lazy idiot!" She cursed, holding her waist.

She needed to plan her schedule and make sure to blend this body to her knowledge in body training.

She suddenly had a serious expression on. She looked around the place and at herself.

She was putting on simple black pants, and a green t-shirt. Her hair was still shiny and had a soft curl.

Within two to three days, she became a poor girl that needed to struggle for money.

The good news was that money isn't a problem. With her knowledge on computer operating, she could make money online.

If not for the fact that she needed to flow with the owner of the body's life and also the only way to be close to Brian, Olivia wouldn't stress herself with acting.

One of the good things about it was that she would get to be on television. Anything that aids her in showcasing her beauty is a good thing.

She loves to let people see that she was a beauty and enjoy the look of amazement she got from them.

Olivia wondered if this was all a dream.

….

The ringtone of Emma's phone that now belongs to her, made her open her eyes.

She has returned to her room to take a nap, since she couldn't train her body, after she just finished eating.

Reaching for the phone, she checked and saw Charlotte's name displaying on the screen.

She really didn't like this woman.

She squinted her face, as she picked up the phone.

"Yes?" Olivia asked immediately.

Charlotte was silent for a few seconds, before speaking up. "Emma, come outside."

"I don't want to." Olivia replied lazily.

"What exactly has gotten into you? Come out and let's talk. I'm outside your house." Charlotte said.

Olivia rolled her eyes and immediately she got outside her room, Amy's figure appeared.

"Sister Emma, aunt Charlotte is outside." The little girl said, breathing heavily from running all the way.

It was around 6:30 pm.

Olivia still couldn't bring herself to converse with the family, like she was meant to. Being surrounded with these new faces still felt weird.

If not for how her body didn't repel them like her nature does to people, she wouldn't care about not going out of character and would make sure to draw boundaries.

She walked past the girl, while she followed her.

Immediately she got outside, she was confronted with Charlotte's scrutinizing gaze.

She frowned hard, after seeing Amelia beside her, with a bag of gifts in the girl's hand.

The memories of how Emma wasn't comfortable with her sisters accepting gifts, but couldn't reject this woman, popped up.

"Return that immediately!" Olivia screamed at Amelia, making the girl look frightened.

"Emma. What is the meaning of all this?" Charlotte asked, as Amelia was now extending the gift bag back to Charlotte, with her hands shaking.

Seeing Charlotte not taking it from her, "drop it on the floor." She said to Amelia, who looked at her to make sure that she heard right.

The girl dropped it immediately that her eyes met with Olivia's furry one.

"Come here." Olivia said to both girls, not caring about the jaw dropped Charlotte, who keeps staring at her gift on the floor.

The twins walked slowly, till they were standing in front of her. "Listen to me, you two. You're not a beggar and your sister worked hard for what she provided for you two. It wasn't thanks to anyone, but her own hard work. Don't accept fake gifts from anyone. Do you understand?" Olivia said, and the girls nodded their head, with fear evidence in their eyes.

"Now, go inside." She said and both girls ran inside at full speed.

Charlotte could tell that this isn't the Emma that she knew.

"Who are you?" Charlotte asked.

"The girl who had stopped being stupid." Olivia said, looking straight into her eyes.

The woman chuckled. She couldn't believe her ears.

"Emma…" Her eyes trailed to the bag on the floor. "Fake gift?" She asked.

"Oh! That hurts? Are you telling me you're real, after threatening their sister with their names and then bringing them gifts after?" Olivia asked.
