A few weeks has passed since I moved to live In the recording room. I don't know how much I'll stay here, but neither I care.
These days had been awesome, usually my days consist of practicing all day with Ji Hoon hyung.
Our competitions had gotten much more intense with each time, and though the competitions are usually private, with only the two of us and not a third party to judge us, it's clear who won each and every time...
Hint, it wasn't me. It's painful to admit, but each time I compare my dancing with his, oh god, it's so embarrassing.
Is this the standard for being a singer? Are all trainees this good? I couldn't help but ask myself.
I've moved to a new primary school in Yeongdeungpo. Father helped me to move once again, but there were a lot of problems, after all, I've moved previously of school when I moved with Sang Min Hyung.
The new one was quite far from where I was living, but it was actually my idea. I wanted to be as far as possible from Gangnam, at least for now.
Anyway, right now it's my first day going to the new school, Father actually brought me here personally.
He wanted to escort me to the classroom but I felt it quite embarrassing, so I obviously denied it.
I was supposed to look for class 3-1. Third years classrooms are supposed to be on the second floor, as we were told by the director during our previous reunion some days ago.
So, I entered the school, that was quite a big one, taking into account that it had a couple of gyms, running tracks, and even big swimming pools.
Anyway, once I got to the second floor, the first thing I saw was a wide hallway. On one side were only multiple windows, and by the right side were the classrooms. There were apparently also second year classrooms in this floor, because the first classroom on the hallway had a 2-3 sign on its front.
Anyway, at last, I got to my classroom. I was actually a bit late, because I could heard how the teacher was telling something to the students.
I was really nervous this time, don't know why, but I could momentarily handle my nervousness and knocked the door three times.
I could heard how the Teacher was slowly approaching the door. It was kinda awkward because by the left side of the door was a big window from where some of the students were looking at me weirdly.
The door opened, and a relatively short man, with black framed glasses, a checked blue shirt, and a beige pair of pants was looking at me while frowning.
I guessed he was expecting me to introduce myself. So, I said:
— Good morning, Teacher. My name is Park Chris, I recently transferred to this school.
The frown on the man's face disappeared, and a amicable smile replaced it.
— Oh yes yes, come on, enter. The director told me all about you. — He kept inviting me to enter while gesturing for me to do it.
Then, the teacher introduced himself.
— Chris-ah, my name is Kye Jung Min, I'm actually your class homeroom teacher. Now, Would you like to introduce yourself before proceeding with the class? — he asked, with a really fast pace.
I nodded at him, and continued to introduce myself to my new classmates.
– Good Morning!, my name is Park Jangsu, but everyone calls me Chris — I tried to be as amicable as possible.
A girl raised his hand and asked.
— Why did you transfer schools? The year is ending after all... Did you...? — she finished, trying to imply something weird.
These girls are really curious huh? I responded almost instantly
— My father had to move because of his job, so it was much more convenient for me to change schools than keep going to the old one — I calmly said.
That was a lie that I had at hand for a situation like this, Had I not thought about that reply, I probably would have been really flustered by the question.
Then, another girl timidly raised his hand, and when she gave her question, I almost couldn't hear it.
— Are.. your.. eyes... really that color? — at least the last part of her question was at an ordinary tone.
— Yes, that's the natural color of my eyes — again this topic... I hope they don't give it too much relevance. I don't understand its importance at all.
Just after I replied, a lot of WOWs were going around the room.
The teacher had to step in to try to calm the room again. I didn't expect that reaction, but it was a lot better than being ostracized.
After some trivial questions about my birthday, and my family, the mood In the classroom relaxed once again, so the teacher said.
— Why don't you sit down for now Chris? I'm sure your classmates are still really curious about you, but that can wait until later. Let me see — The teacher analyzed the whole classroom, and noticed there was only one seat available.
The classroom was actually pretty gender-mixed, and was composed of dual desks where a pair of students shared a table. Usually a boy and a girl.
While the teacher was thinking about something, I also noticed the only available seat in the room.
There was already a girl sitting there. The girl had a pale white skin, and a pretty dark brown hair that ended at her shoulders.
While I looked at her face, I could only say she was considered quite pretty, but what I found quite impactful, was that she really had a lot of fat under her eyes. I found it quite cute, not that she would care about my opinion.
It seems the teacher already decided, and indeed, he told me to sit next to the girl, so that's what I did.
While I approached my new seat, I could hear a lot of whispering around me. "Did I do something weird?" was the first though I had. Then I realized it should be because of my seat.
The only logical reason for that would be that the girl was quite popular, but again, I don't really care that much.
I sat next to the girl, and slightly bowed at her while introducing myself.
The girl was somehow tall, but so was I.
I was about half a head taller than her, making her feel like a little sister. When my thoughts got here, I immediately shook my head, "What was I even talking about?"
While I had those conflicting thoughts, the girl also bowed and then said.
— Hello, my name is Im Yoon Ah. Nice to meet you! — she said, with a soft smile on her face.
The way she introduced herself was quite cheerful, but what she said after that really surprised me.
— I'm older by a few months, but as you're taller, you'll be the Oppa — The bossy tone she used was really cute, but then it hit me... Oppa? and she's even older than me? What?!
As a frown appeared on my face, I noticed how puppy eyes appeared on her face, and a pouting expression was also mixed in.
She really left me no chance to argue.... So I simply nodded, I didn't want this conversation to extend too much.
Today, I just really wanted to come back home, and talk with father about something really important.
Once I nodded at her, a cheerful expression appeared on her face again. She tried to hide it by looking at the other side, but our desk was by the window, even though it was a clear day, I could clearly see her reflection on the glass...
I guess she didn't have a lot of friends, someone else would be offended for simple things like being called Oppa, or even being that informal from the start, but I don't care about neither of those.
....
The rest of the day was quite uneventful, the teacher told Yoon Ah, whom I'm now calling Yoona by her request, to take me on a tour around the school to familiarize myself with it.
Also, she apparently had cleaning labours at the end of the day, so I was assigned to it too, so that I could get accustomed to it as soon as possible.
As Yoona told me, the same teacher would teach everything except, P.E, and English, so I will be seeing his face constantly.
The classes finished, and Yoona and me were now starting to clean the room, quite awkward if I must say.
Yoona was initially quiet for the first 10 minutes. But after that, I could hear her humming a weird, but familiar tune while cleaning. I was trying to remember where does it come from, but it totally escaped me.
Then, not only was she humming, but started to flap her arms while humming, and hopping to each side.
That's when it hit me, isn't that 'I'm your girl' by SES?.
Once I recognized the song, I could see what move was she trying to dance, so I imitated her and started dancing the same part.
At that moment, Yoona noticed me, and it was like sparks came out of her eyes. She came really close and stared directly at my eyes. Then, she said.
— Oppa, have you heard about SES, do you like the group? — When someone stared at me like that, I could get quite shy, so I couldn't really say anything but simply nodded.
— AWESOME Oppa! You're really good at dancing, have you practiced before? Where did you learn to dance like that? What's your favorite song? Mine is ...- the great number of questions and information made me feel quite dizzy....
It was going to be a long conversation...
What did I get myself into?
