Well, I was really nervous all day, and even Yoona noticed it. She asked me about it but I hid it from her. I was nervous enough, and it wouldn't do her any good to be nervous with me.
Anyway, as I was saying, I couldn't concentrate on anything, and before I knew it, it was the end of the school day and I was arriving at home. The plan was to get to the building, and Father arranged for someone to take me to the place the audition was going to take place.
I don't know what father did, but they were going to let me audition with my mask on.
Anyway, I put on the bandana, the one Father gave me. And noticed it completely covered the lower part of my face, but the upper part could still be seen.
Thinking about it for a second, what I did was to take a really short black fabric scarf that I had and covered my eyes and forehead with it. Finally, Ji Hoon Hyung lent me a black cap some time ago, so I put it on backwards, covering the rest of my face, and also covering my blonde hair.
In fact, the only "recognizable" part that could still be seen was some strands of blonde hair at the back of my head that the cap couldn't cover.
The rest of my outfit was actually quite simple, just a dark blue plain T-shirt with beige baggy pants. As I said, pretty simple, and even eccentric.
Once I got ready, I went to Father's office, only to be told that the person that would drive me was waiting for me at the parking lot. So, I simply got there and noticed a black van waiting there.
As I neared it, the window by the passenger seat went down and a new face greeted me from the driver's seat.
— You're Chris right? I'm Chang Mal Chin — it was actually a fat face with black framed circular glasses. If I must say so, he looked really kind. The man looked in his early twenties, and looked very healthy, even though now that I think about it, maybe it was because of his happy demeanor.
Once he introduced himself, I bowed down and said.
— Nice to meet you. My name is Park Chris, please take care of me.
— Hahaha! Hop on, I'll take you there — I immediately got into the front seat and the car started moving.
The ride started really awkward, I really didn't talk a lot, and I noticed that Chang-ssi was quite nervous. That was until I asked.
— So, sorry to ask, but how much have you been working with Father? — I guessed he already knew about who I was. I almost regretted asking him, because as I asked, the man started talking with such speed, It was really unbelievable.
— It's just been a month actually, I'm really grateful to Mr.Park, he was kind enough to give me this job, even though he didn't need. You know? This was actually my first real job, I had some part time jobs before as a guard, also with Mr.Park, but I never had full a time job before. Even though I've barely passed my driving test, don't worry young Chris, you're in the safest pair of hands right now. Also, please call me Hyung If you want, I'm not Chang-ssi, that's my father. Also, you're really incredible to audition to YG, when I was younger I wanted to become a singer, but I'm really bad at it, so I finally gave up. That's why I ended being a manager myself, it's the closest job to a singer, don't you think?
I got really dizzy, I couldn't even interrupt him in his speech, and he talked about a couple of topics... And his thoughts were really erratic...
After 30 minutes of listening to him, he said we were almost there. Those 30 minutes were really amusing though, he kept talking about his personal life, and I ended up agreeing to call him Chin-Hyung.
Once we arrived to a small building, about the same size of Father's one, Chin Hyung parked in front of it and said.
— Well, young master, I'll wait for you here. Good Luck at your audition!
I simply nodded at him and was preparing to get off the car when he stopped me and said.
— Also, don't forget to always persist! — he said that while showing me his closed fist.
A smile appeared on my face, I bumped my fist with his and nodded once again. Now, a smile has appeared on my face, even though Chin Hyung couldn't see it..
It was funny though, his name literally meant "persist to end" after all.
Thanks to Hyung, I was now more relaxed than before. I prepared a lot for this audition, and I only had to give my best. If I couldn't pass it, there was nothing I could do about it.
I confidently entered the building and got to a reception. At the front desk, there was a beautiful black haired woman with dark brown eyes. I got closer and before I could say anything, the woman said.
— Good Morning! What can I help you with? — the usual speech of an office worker.
— Yes please, I was supposed to have an appointment with Mr Yang Hyun Suk — I immediately said what father told me.
— There's no problem, please tell me your name and I'll notify him — the woman was weirdly staring at me because of my outfit, but I guessed she just thought I looked cute because of my age.
— Yes please, tell him I'm King Cobra — my new nickname I said it in English, making it a little bit difficult for her to catch.
After repeating it a few times for her, she finally notified my arrival, and told a bulky man that was all this time next to the front desk to take me to a room in the second floor.
I simply followed him, noticing this building was quite similar to my home, other than the arrangement of the rooms. Anyway, as I got to the room in the second floor, the bulky man told me to wait there, and left me.
The room was like the perfect copy of the dance studio I usually used with Ji Hoon Hyung. It was also covered with mirrors, so I started stretching while checking my form in the mirrors.
While I was doing this, I didn't notice that two people entered the room and seated by the sofa by one side of the room. Suddenly I heard some fake coughing and turned to the noise.
There were two people, one of them had a really regular face you'd forget instantly after meeting him. It was almost offensive how regular the man was. The other man, sitting while crossing his legs, was wearing a black cap, and had a really big face, especially his cheeks. They looked as if they were going to burst.
The weird thing was that the man had a weird smile on his face while looking at me...
I knew this man, he was precisely Yang Hyun Suk, and the major face of the company I was currently in.
I hurriedly bowed while introducing myself. Mr Yang just raised his hand and dismissed my greeting. I have to admit, it was quite pressuring this attitude from him. He was looking at me, as if gazing at my deepest. After a couple of minutes of awkward silence, it was suddenly broken.
— So, I was told you were quite good? — the man had a lazy way of speaking. And also had a somewhat acute voice that didn't go with his cool appearance. It was a unique display.
I was clearly not supposed to answer positively to that question, but still, I simply answered that.
— I've been told that, but I'm still missing a lot.
By now, the man's eyes were almost closed, and he continued.
— Can you explain the mask? — he asked me while looking through some papers that I guessed had some information about me.
I shook my head an replied.
— I'm sorry, I think Father explained some of my situation to you?
The man nodded, and continued.
— Yes, he also sent me some audio that you're going to use in your audition?
I nodded.
— Well, what are we waiting for? Go ahead and show me what you got? I'll personally check whether you're good enough to be part of this family.
He signaled the man next to him to start and some music started playing.
That's the way my only chance to fulfill my dream started.....
