It's been some time since I entered YG. Life has actually been quite normal until now. Not a lot of things had changed in my life, but time has indeed passed. It's 2002 now, Ji Hoon Hyung actually had his debut this year, by the name Rain at that.
His style was actually quite similar to Father's, and he also was the perfect example of the "half air, half sound" premise that Father advocates for.
My favorite song of his till now was actually one called "bad guy". Hyung's husky voice and smooth movements went really good to the beat, and let's be honest, he was like the perfect portray of a Bad Boy.
Anyway, as Hyung debuted, I basically lost my training partner, making my afternoons a lot more lonely for me. But keeping in mind that I actually spent my afternoons in YG's building, I guess it wasn't that important.
I'm happy for him though, all trainees dream for their own debut, so I'm really happy he already started and it's working up his fame.
On the other hand, neither Yoona, nor Seohyun had become a trainee yet. They're actually participating on some kind of contest or whatever that SM Entertainment is doing. I'm really confident on both of them, and I'm pretty sure it's just time before they become successful trainees.
Actually, today is actually kind of a critical day for them, I'm not pretty sure what are they doing, but I understand it's really important. That's why I really wanted to go cheer them up, but they said I was not supposed to and to just wait for the good news.
Once more, a light hit at my left by Yoona told me that she was staring at me. I was, of course, still at school, now at fifth grade of primary school, still missing sixth grade before going to Middle School. Our new homeroom teacher was actually a kind, short man in his fifties, the only problem was actually that his passion for teaching makes him really strict during class.
That being said, the only thing we should do is pay attention at class. But knowing that I was so susceptible to distractions, or just being deep in my thoughts, I was kind of his Nemesis. But his response to my distractions was simply to ask me a lot of question during class, which I have to accept was really effective.
Today, I was lucky because Yoona noticed in time to tell me, so I wasn't asked anything, and the day went really fast for me. But, there was someone that was really tense the whole day.
— Relax a little bit, Could you? — I lightly patted Yoona's hair, trying to comfort her. That was a little mania I got in the last year. It's something Sang Min Hyung and the noonas used to do, and I found it quite recomforting, so, patting other people's heads was my own way of cheering them up.
Fortunately, Yoona liked it quite a lot, so she pouted and said.
— It's unfair, Oppa. I didn't really know about your audition to YG, so I couldn't tease you — she ended her sentence by sticking her tongue out.
Even though she tried to shrug it off. I could perfectly notice how she was really nervous. She couldn't notice, but when she was nervous, she had a little tic.
A little twitch on her smile revealed everything, so, I come a little bit closer while she was packing her things in her backpack. Once she finished, I told her.
—Look at me for a second — she instantly turned around.
*Snap*
The only thing she received was a finger flick on her forehead.
— What was that for, Oppa? — said the teary eyed Yoona while caressing her now red forehead.
— It's obvious you're nervous, you can't hide it from me. — she kept silent — don't you think I was also nervous during my audition?
Yoona silently nodded while staring at the floor.
— Then, don't you know what you have to do? — that question made Yoona tilt her head as her gaze went up. Suddenly, two loud clap like sounds were heard.
I lightly slapped both of her cheeks with my palms, but the sound was much louder than I expected. After the initial hits, I started pinching her cheeks while saying.
— What do I always say? You just have to give your best and results will come eventually. You just have to go there, and any move of yours will make them go under your heels. — Just after finishing that last line, I released her cheeks and took her backpack from her hands. — I'm really wise aren't I? — A smirk appeared on my face while saying that. I started walking towards the exit of the school, but I could still hear Yoona clicking her tongue and saying.
— First time you say something like that, you're really shameless — she was clearly joking with me, but I could notice she was a little less nervous that before.
At least, that worked, I guess...
I ended up escorting Yoona to the school's front door where her mom was waiting for her in their family's car. As we saw the car, I got closer and noticed the car's window rolling down and Yoona's mother waving at me. I bowed at her, while opening the door and putting Yoona's backpack in. Finally I pat Yoona's head for one last time, while saying.
— Fighting! — I showed her my closed fist in front of me to cheer her, and she hugged me and said while closing the door.
— Wait for the good news, Oppa.
As the car started moving, I waved at it, before finally starting to walk towards my home.
The walk was quite uneventful, and after I arrived at the building and entered it, I noticed some kind of fuss in the first floor. I got near it and could already hear.
— Unnie, you should ask him.
— Lee Sunmi, I already told you, you are the one interested, so you should ask.
It sounded interesting, so I got near and asked the guard Hyung that was on turn this time.
— Hyung, what's happening with the two girls?
The Hyung was kind of surprised, but instantly recovered and said.
— Chris-Ah, they're actually talking about you. They've been discussing for the last 10 minutes who of them should ask me about you.
— Me? Why me? — I was genuinely surprised, I don't remember even meeting them before. To that question, the guard Hyung just shrugged his shoulders. Suddenly, the noise stopped, and I stared at the whereabouts of the two girls who were discussing some seconds ago, only to notice that they were also staring at me.
I tried to be friendly, so I awkwardly said.
— Good afternoon, Is everything good? — I was really bad at taking initiative with new people, so that was awkward as heck.
The one called, apparently called, Lee Sunmi suddenly started running away while covering her face with her hands. The other one, was shaking her head while facepalming. Then, she stared at me an said.
— Sorry for that, Sunmi-yah is really shy. I'm Park Ye Eun, can I ask for your name?
— Ehm, Of Course, I'm Park Chris, can I ask, What was that? — I curiously asked.
— She supposedly saw you while training and thought you were really good, so, she wanted to ask you personally for some advice, but was too shy to do so. So, here we are — she finished with a frustrated smile and a little shake of her head.
Okay, that was cute. A little smile appeared on my face. I simply replied Ye Eun.
— Well, can you tell little Sunmi that I'm really glad to help her and to simply ask me? Even though, I don't think I'm that good.
The girl was already leaving when I replied back, but an "okay" could be heard.
After that strange situation, I went with Chin Hyung to YG's building, as always. Chin Hyun has always been talkative, but he's been increasing the level with time.
Talking about that, Ji Yong and me got really close after some time. He was actually older than me, but we talked casually, so it didn't really matter. We trained together, and ate together for some time now, so I think it's really normal.
As I entered YG's building and entered the usual room where we trainees usually stayed, I noticed three guys my age were seated on the floor. One of them was Ji Yong, but the other two I didn't know.
At this moment, Ji Yong noticed me and said.
— Hey, Chris, let me introduce them to you. This one to my left is Dong Young Bae and the one on my right is Choi Seung Hyun. They're both my friends, but more importantly, they will be training with us from now.
The one on the left was really short, and had really small eyes that formed an eye smile, even with a poker face. The other, was slightly chubby but was around my height, which was quite tall if I must say so.
I simply nodded, but it seems Ji Yong haven't finished.
— Also, Yang Hyun Sun-nim, told me to give you these — Ji Yong passed me two letters, one was from Sang Min Hyung. He always wrote to me asking about how I was, and this one was asking how was I doing at school. The other one was from... Eimi?
I inmediately got really excited. It was the first letter I've received from Eimi. The first time I had some communication with her since that fateful day. I then asked Ji Yong.
— Why don't you give me some minutes while I read these, and then we do the usual? —Ji Yong simply nodded, while I excused myself and went to a separate room.
There, I started reading Eimi's letter.
" Dear Oppa, it's been some time since we've talked. I'm sure you know what happened to me, and now I understand a lot more about why didn't you write to me before. Just wanted to tell you a couple of things, and to make you know, that I haven't forgotten about you and never will. As you know, I'm now at Daegu, and my new parents treat me really good — I couldn't help but smile by this time, but continued reading — Oppa, do you remember our dream? I hope you're still working for it. I passed an audition in SM and it's been some time since I became a trainee. I hope you're not too far behind, Oppa."
"Cheeky girl" I couldn't help but think.
"Also, Oppa, even though I'm still as shy as always, I made a new friend here In Daegu. She's so pretty, and is really shy like me. I don't know how we became friends but she's really good to me, so I hope we can keep being friends long enough. Oppa, please reply something"
"Your little sister, Park Eimi."
Once I finished reading, a wide smile was already plastered on my face...
I'm really happy everything's going good for her. It's my time to do as I told Yoona and give my all. I wanted to debut after all. So, I went to train with Jiyong and his two friends. The next day, I found out everything went well with Yoona and Seohyun.
It seems, everything's going well, for now...
