Marianne and Yurian looked at each other thirstily. "That sounds awesome!"
Soon, the five individuals reached the bustling shopping district. Alistair handed the reins of the carriage to a servant from the restaurant for parking. Yurian's and Marianne's eyes widened in astonishment as they saw the rows of stumpy houses and merchant shops. Libitina was also caught up in the moment as she admired the throngs of people in the market.
"Why do you look so surprised?" Sylvester questioned sharply.
"There are more people in the market today," Libitina came up with an excuse.
'Would you believe if I said this is only my second time here?'
Sylvester lazily raised his eyebrows but Libitina quickly followed Yurian and Marianne into the crowds.
It would never have occurred to Libitina that she would meld so well with Marianne and Yurian. Together, the trio drooled at the different local delicacies and feasted on street snacks. They went from stall to stall, haggling with the storekeepers over the trinkets and dried seafood of Clomodorian seamen to the 'magic potions' sold by trippy traders. Marianne got very interested in a love potion before Yurian and Libitina pulled her away in a hurry and educated her in stern tones. In fact, aside from the love potion incident, Libitina thought it would be a wonderful experience if she could travel with Yurian and Marianne as they were the perfect explorers and adventurers.
"Ah, look at that! What's that long stick?"
"That's a potato swirl! Do you want to try it together?"
"Hey, look, Marianne! Don't you think this bracelet looks good on me?"
"What a nice pink!"
"Hah! Why do you want pieces of stone on your body? With how frail you are, you probably can't walk after wearing a few of these on you."
"I'm not that weak…"
"Yurian! Don't be rude! In fact, I think amongst the three of us, you may actually be the prettiest one if we deck you up. Since you're so strong, it wouldn't bother you if you wear all of these."
"Hahahah!"
"Wow, you're really going that far, huh. If you tease me anymore, I might just go ahead and seduce Alistair with my pretty looks—Ouch! Not that staff!"
"Feel free to find Alistair, but only after you go through my make-up and dress up combo."
Marianne smiled evilly and Yurian guilelessly looked away.
The three continued to bicker endlessly as they strolled the streets, the other two knights following them like bodyguards.
