At night, after a fulfilling dinner, Marianne immediately went down to the kitchen area to find Libitina.
"Libby, are you there?"
When Libitina heard the familiar call, she turned around with a bright smile. "Sister Marianne!"
It was just nice that she had finished with her kitchen duties. She quickly set a tray with some tea and mochi that she had made earlier and walked to Marianne.
"Sister Marianne, shall we take a walk in the gardens?"
"Yes! What's that in your hands?"
"You will know later."
Together, the girls settled themselves under the shelter of the stables, where the vegetable fields were next to. Under the light of the smiling moon, Libitina and Marianne leisurely admired the flowering plants and the refreshing scents of greenery.
"Wow, the plants here are growing so well! The land must have been fertilised a lot. I can feel that this land has abundant spirit and will surely grow many delicious potatoes and vegetables!"
"Yes, the weeds are so hardy too. We plucked so many of them in a day that it was never-ending."
"What's this curly thing with a such cute flowers? Why is it hanging off the wooden beams like that?"
"That is a cucumber plant, Sister Marianne."
"A cucumber plant looks like this!"
After introducing the various vegetable patches to Marianne who had never grown a plant, Libitina started.
"Oh yes, come try what I have made," Libitina quickly said as she remembered the tray she bought out. "This dessert is called a mochi, and it is made of rice flour and red bean."
"Wmat's dis smoof soff feelin…Aif newher haddis before…" Marianne's eyes widened in pleasure as she stuffed an entire mochi in her mouth after taking an experimental bite. Libitina chuckled, her laughter sweet as a canary. She who was a fellow lover of mochi could understand the feeling of eating mochi for the first time.
"That was delicious, Libby! I've never had anything so delicious before! You are amazing," Marianne's eyes teared up in bliss as she held her puffy cheeks.
"If you like it, I will make some of it for you to eat on your travels, although you have to store it in the ice box. It might make the journey more enjoyable."
"Would you really, Libby! Would you! That would be awesome!"
Marianne stood up from her seat and did a cute dance. At time like this, it was unclear who was the older sister and who was the younger one.
"Now I need to repay you with something...I know!" she cried. Suddenly, Marianne whipped out her staff out of thin air and started waving it around. "Look at this!"
