Accompanied by Marianne's cheer, sparkling blue fairy lights started falling gently from the dark sky, like blue-flamed fireflies that have suddenly visited the garden.
'Wow,' Libitina stood up slowly as she stared at the magical spectacle. Hesitantly, she reached out a hand where a blue light fell, and it slowly faded away once it touched her hand.
"Do you like this, Libby? It's all for you!" Marianne swirled around in the garden and laughed.
"It's beautiful. Thank you, Sister Marianne," Libby turned her gaze to Marianne and smiled brilliantly.
As she watched Marianne dance without a care in the world, Libitina deeply wished that Marianne would find happiness in this world. Although it seemed like she was destined to be with Alistair in this world, Libitina also knew that this was just the start of a treacherous journey for Marianne and her friends.
The man who had helped her on the first day was probably Young Duke Henrik Quille, an important character in the game who may one day betray Auglarus in the later arcs. And their journey to Lefu, the capital of Clomodor, would be full of dangers, as well as when they fought the Demon Spirit after returning to Enzak thereafter.
The only thing she could do as a mob character, was perhaps to send them off with her well-wishes.
Thinking about the plotline and how Marianne had accompanied her through all the lonely nights in her past life, Libitina could not help but said the first words that came to her mind, the words that she had heard Alistair whisper to Marianne when they were dancing in that grand hall under the blessings of the blue fairy lights.
"Sister Marianne, the moon in the sky is incomparable to your radiance, and when I look into your eyes, I see the world's purest sapphire. My world seems to have brightened with the flames you place in the nightsky, and colours are finally appearing. Thank you very much."
She saw Marianne's jaw dropped, then filled with tears.
"You're so very welcome."
They passed their time with warm feelings until Libitina broached the topic of Marianne leaving.
"Marianne, I heard that you guys will be leaving tomorrow?"
"Uh, yes…About that. We will be leaving in the morning, so it might be our last time seeing each other for a long while."
Immediately, Libitina could see Marianne deflate like a discouraged bunny.
"Hey, Sister Marianne, it was fun today for me. Was it fun for you?"
"Yes!"
"Then smile," Libitina looked into Marianne's eyes that reflected the crescent moon and stars.
"Libby, I've really had so much fun today, and I am really glad to have made a friend here," Marianne had tears in her eyes. "Back where I was, everyone normally avoided me because of certain reasons. I know that we have not known each other for long, but I really feel that we resonate with each other! If you don't mind, would it be alright for us to keep in contact?"
"…Sister Marianne, it would be my honor to do so," Libitina smiled.
"Honor what honor! We are friends because we are similar people who understand each other…But still, I am so happy!" Marianne smiled so much that her eyes could not be seen.
As they chattered mindlessly, Libitina felt a warmth in her heart.
Just this much is enough. It is enough.
