Chapter 22 - Chapter 21: Shopping I

"Lady Briar, I am done!"

"Wow, that's fast, Libby. Are you in a rush today?"

"Not really. Hehe~"

"My my my, those who don't know would think you have fallen in love," Briar's eyes twinkled mischievously.

"Who has fallen in love? Is it Libby!" Brian called out from the carriages where he was polishing the golden carriage.

"No, it's not!" Libby blushed. "I've been given a task later to guide the visitors yesterday around town. So, I'm a little excited, is all."

"Well, I would be excited if I were you, too. They are like the sunshine after the rain. I've been feeling down lately, perhaps because of the weather, but looking at them does make my 'eart peaceful," Briar rested her palm against her cheek, "All those dashing young men full of hormones were really the top of the crop. Of course, the young lady was very pretty too."

"Yes! Marianne is simply like an angel!" Libitina exclaimed cheerfully.

"You've been feeling down. sis? Speaking of the weather, it's been really humid lately. It's not very nice. Libby, didn't you just clear the fields of weeds yesterday?" Brian frowned as he walked over and looked at the basket full of dried greens. "How come there are so many weeds again today?"

"Yes, I found it weird too," Briar wondered out loud. "In the week you are here, you have plucked so many weeds, but the amount doesn't seem to be decreasing at all. Could it be the warmer weather? Maybe I should change the fertiliser."

"Libby! Are you there?" A sweet voice called from the restaurant.

Libby whipped her head around and saw Marianne waving her hands excitedly. Today, she was wearing a simple beige dress with a bertha collar and a matching grey hat.

"Ah, coming!"

Libitina turned to Brian and Briar. "Lady Briar and Brian, I'll be taking the day off now!"

"Yes, sure."

"Have fun!"

Libitina waved goodbye to them and quickly tidied herself up. As she did so, she quickly recalled her memories of the game.

The border town of Enzak was definitely the first event location of the game. However, there was an anomaly in the storyline now, because the Demon Spirit was supposed to rampage in Enzak town the moment Marianne and her team arrived.

Libitina frowned hard as she tried to remember the details. 'Did I forget something? There definitely wasn't a part where Marianne had time to have fun in town…But I better be careful these few days and keep a lookout…'

Slipping on a white button shirt and brown workpants, she hurried out and saw the three men waiting in the receptionist lobby.

Alistair donned a formal dark grey chesterfield coat paired with black pants, the classic epitome of an accomplished and well-endowed alpha male. Meanwhile, Sylvester had on a purple kimono jacket and skinny black jeans, his fringe casting a shadow on his angular, pale face.

Standing closest to the receptionist and munching on some sweets was Yurian, his Eisenhower jacket accentuating his v-shaped body and red pants that stood out from the crowd. Marianne, in her wavy dress and her rosy cheeks, fitted into the picturesque image like a puzzle piece.

"Wow, you guys look awesome," Libitina could not help but praise. 'Just look at the little receptionist lady blushing so madly.'

"Thank you, Libby, you're too sweet," Marianne took hold of Libitina's hands and smiled. "There's no need to praise those three idiots behind me."

Libby: …

"Ouch, Marianne, don't pollute Libby with your coarseness. Libby, where do you want to bring us to, today?" Yurian squeezed Marianne aside and asked restlessly.

"Yes, there's a shopping district with a really good ice-cream shop, I was thinking that you could stock up on your supplies there and enjoy the local food. What do you think?"

Marianne and Yurian looked at each other thirstily. "That sounds awesome!"
