Opening my eyes, I found that a clear blue sky stretched above me. I was laying on a hard rocky surface. It looked like Yolmin had really sent me to his world.
Sitting up and looking around, I found that there was nothing but rocky planes and the occasional weed in sight. I think that this could only be described as a wasteland. I had asked to be placed well away from other humans, but this was somewhat unexpected.
Yolmin had given me the common sense of this world along with the new body. It looked like this world had the 'status' idea common in a number of the books that I liked to read. There were levels and what not, but it looked like health and magic power could be somewhat influenced by training and ones body as well as level.
'It looks like he made this body a bit younger,' I thought as I tried to look at myself. I had been an average looking student before, but my arms and legs felt a bit shorter and slimmer. Standing up, I could feel the difference a bit more. 'How old am I? 14? 16? Oh, right. [Status]'
Immediately, a clear, green box appeared in front of me.

Based on the knowledge that Yolmin gave me, humans were about average regarding magic talent. Elves and Demons had more, while dwarves and beastkin had less. However, even the most powerful elfin and demon mages only had at most 10,000 magic power. And they were apparently regarded as one in a hundred year geniuses.
"What in the world were they fighting over?" I wondered. All that magic power had to have been gathered for a reason. "Well, I should probably find somewhere to rest."
I picked a direction a began walking. The sun slowly climbed into the sky as I walked, but I didn't feel tired, thirsty, or hungry, no matter how much time passed. Eventually, the sun began to set, but there was still nothing in sight. Finally, I was forced to admit defeat. I would just have to sleep under the starts. I picked a patch of ground and lay down to sleep.
Waking up the next morning, I noted that the previously hard ground had become soft. Opening my eyes in alarm, I discovered that I was laying in a bed of grass that extended in a small circle around me, but the wasteland continued beyond it's border.
"How did this happen?" I wondered aloud. I checked my status, but nothing much had changed other than a slight decrease in my HP. I would take that as a consequence of not eating for a day.
Shrugging off the odd phenomena, I stood back up and continued walking the same direction as yesterday, but by the end of the day, I still hadn't found anything. I continued following this pattern for another three days, before I gave us.
"This isn't working," I said, sitting down on a rock. "I suppose that I should at least try magic since I'm not getting anywhere."
Magic is done by taking magic power within ones body and channeling it into the world. It will then follow the image of the caster. Normally, mages can only use their specific element, but I didn't have to worry about that. Since I hadn't drunk anything in five days, I decided to try water magic first.
Closing my eyes and focusing, I could feel something warm moving within my body. I easily responded to my thoughts. I drew some of it away and focused on the image of a ball of cool water. I opened my eyes and extended my hand before I spoke.
"{Water Ball}"
Instantly, a ball of water appeared in front of my outstretched hand. Delighted at my success, I tried some and found it to be sweet and cold. Drinking deeply, I felt instantly refreshed. Examining my success, I ruefully admitted that I had been foolish to wait to experiment with magic.
"What else can I do with magic?" I wondered aloud. I spotted a barren tree nearby and was struck by an idea.
I walked over to it and rested my hand on a branch. Drawing forth my magic energy, I allowed it to flow into the tree with the image of it growing and bearing fruit.
"{Grow}"
I watched in wonder as the tree's life visible returned. Within a matter of minutes, it was covered in leafy foliage and a number a blue, round fruits were hanging from its branches. Trying one, I found that is had a sweet, tangy flavor, different from anything that I had tried before.
"And with that, food and water have been solved," I said, satisfied. "Now to shelter."
Resting my hand on the ground a little ways from the tree, I decided to have some fun this time. I had always imagined having a secret hide away in a mountain. Now I had both magic and more magic power than I knew what to do with.
"{Create Mountain}"
First slowly, then with gathering speed, the earth before me began to quake and rise into the air. I could feel an amount of magic power that dwarfed my previous spells flowing out and into the ground. Focusing on my image, I watched as an enormous, rocky peak rose up before me. Finally, as the earth began to settle, an entrance to a cave appeared before me.
"Yes," I said, pumping my arm in the air.
Seeing that the sun was setting, I gathered some of the fruits and went into the cave. The floor was solid stone but smooth. I didn't really care and actually found it more comfortable than the ground outside. After finding where the corridor branched out, I lay down and fell into a deep and peaceful sleep.
