Chapter 8 - Chapter Seven

Killian's POV

I was in the middle of switching out my books when I heard my name being called by a familiar voice. I turned to where the noise was coming from just in time to have a slightly shorter body slammed into mine. We crashed to the floor from the force of their body hitting mine. My head just nearly escaped hitting the floor as a brown and blonde one fell onto my chest with bruising force. I gasped in pain as Kelsey looked up at me with a shy smile. I shook my head as a chuckle erupted from my chest. Soon she joined in with a giggle of her own.

"Good morning to you as well, Kells," I said with a huge smile. This girl is ridiculous but I can't help but love her either way. She climbed off of me and I stood as well. It was then that I noticed John leaned on the lockers beside us.

"Morning…" John mumbled and I looked to Kelsey with a raised brow. All it took was a small smile and a nod to tell me they worked their issues out. I quickly returned the awkward greeting. While Kelsey adjusted her clothes, I picked up my backpack and continued to exchange my books out.

My last book was in my bag and I was about to close my locker when Kelsey gasped. When I looked at her, she had her eyes glued to the small bundles of blue forget-me-nots in the pen holder. I raised an eyebrow as she walked closer with tears in her eyes.

"Where did you get these?" Kelsey asked, her eyes pinned me down where I stood. Confused, I explained that they just keep showing up in my locker.

" I think someone has a secret admirer but they found the wrong locker," I answered with a shrug but her eyes were now glued to my hair.

"Wait, how did I not notice your hair?!?! OH and your eyes! What happened?" she exploded and I laughed at her reaction. I wrapped an arm around her shoulders as we walked to our first class of the day.

"It is kinda a lot to explain, why don't you and John meet me for lunch in front of the school. There is a lot that you should know." I responded before I placed a chaste kiss on her temple. They both nodded and we walked into the classroom. They both sat to the right of me as I made myself comfortable in the same seat I had been in since the start of the year. I looked outside and my eyes instantly met his grey ones.

It took too long, for my liking, for lunch to come around. I waited for the others to join me as I sat on the grass next to the benches outside of the school. I watched the rare car pass by as the breeze pushed my black and white-colored hair around. I leaned back with my hands flat against the soft earth, my arms holding me up.

"So, our first change is in a month?" I asked internally as my eyes lifted to the white puffs passing overhead.

"That is this year's blue moon, and it should be our first shift. However, with my blood and magic in the mix, it is not certain." Selene answered. I nodded as I laid back, my hoodie under my head as I conversed with my guides. For some reason, my soul felt at peace, but of course all good things must come to an end.

"Look who it is boys, it's the fagglet." a familiar voice said. I removed my eyes from the sky and looked to see Lee moving closer. I was on my feet before they got to close and was ready for whatever they tried. I glared at the three asshats that have made my life hell since we met.

Lee sneered at me when he noticed my glare. It made me smirk, knowing I got under his skin, as he walked over and grabbed me by the collar of my shirt. His eyes narrowed as I looked back with pure defiance. With nothing but courage and determination, I peeled his hand off of my shirt. I hadn't used but a fraction of my strength but he looked so shocked it was comical.

"Who the fuck do you think you are?" he sneered and grabbed for my coller again but I dodged his hand. He stumbled forward and I smirked.

"I am your better and always have been. I mean, at least I was born the way I am." I replied and he stiffened. I pitied him for about ten seconds before he threw a punch aimed at my head. I dodged it but his two friends grabbed each of my arms. Not wanting to give away my full strength, I struggled but did not break free like I knew I could.

"Jun, Samantha, Selene, and Amelia. Are all four of you okay with my plan?" I asked internally as Lee walked toward me. When I received a collective 'yes' I stopped struggling and the two holding me looked at me. I smirked as Lee stepped forward and wasted no time in punching me in the face. I grunted as I hung my head but I knew it was only the beginning. So, I let them go at it until they were bored.

When they finally released me, I stood my ground. My guides had been healing me as they did damage. So when I looked up at them and stood in the familiar boxing pose. With my hands covering my face, my legs bent slightly at the knees, my left leg holding more of my weight, and my right fist in front of the left. I was ready and I was determined.

"Do you really think that you could take me?" Lee asked and gawked as he stood in his version of a fighting stance. It left so many weak points it took all my will not to smirk at him or, better yet, laugh.

"No, I don't think I can beat you," I started and he smirked just like I thought he would, "I know I can beat your pansy ass." I finished and his face reddened as his veins pressed against his skin in anger. I smirked as he lunged at me, he threw blow after blow, and I dodged each one. When he finally grew tired of it, I deemed it my turn and punched him in his stomach before I gave him my specialty, the left-handed uppercut.

He stumbled backward and landed on his ass. His eyes huge as one of his hands held onto his nose. The ironic part is I didn't use a drop of my supernatural strength, it was equivalent to if a human had grown up the same way I had. Plus with my training in martial arts, boxing, and combat, it made this fight a sinch.

"I was never weak, you idiot. I always let you beat me up because I had no reason to live, let alone fight. That is no longer the case because I have people who care and I will not let them worry about me. By the way, you should give up on them. They are not worth the effort that you put in to please them." I said and he dropped his eyes to the ground. His two friends helped him up just as my friends came around the corner. Instead of Just John and Kelsey, the entire entourage came, not that I was complaining.

"Killian! Why do you have blood on you? Why was he bleeding? What the hell?" Mira and Mara asked back and forth as they fussed over me. I chuckled as Kelsey raised a confused eyebrow.

"He has been my bully for years and today I stood up to him. I finally have something to live for and I am not bending to his will any longer. He just had to learn the hard way." I answered them.

"You made friends with the Fag? What the fuck, Alpha?" Lee shouted the question which, in my opinion, was a huge mistake. Kelsey turned to him with a glare, as the others did, and before I knew what was happening, John had rushed them and punched Lee in the jaw. A satisfying crunch was heard just before he fell to the ground on top of his friends.

"Look here assholes, I don't need to defend my choices to you. You are not the Alpha to be, I am. So get your asses back to the pack-house before I personally tear you each a new one. You are in deep shit as it is." Kelsey seethed and turned back to me. She grabbed my hand and led me away from the others. She sat me down on one of the benches as she looked me over for any injuries. I let her have her way since she didn't know what I was yet. I didn't speak until she sat down next to me with a sigh of what I assume was relief.

"Did I get a clean bill of health?" I asked with a smile but the moment she looked at me with a glare I was fighting off a laugh.

"Don't you dare laugh mister. How long have they been bothering you? Are they the cause of all the injuries I have seen you with?" she asked.

"Kelsey, there is much I need to tell you but I am rather ashamed of most of it. However, I believe that both you, John, and the others should hear this." I responded and she sighed again before she stood and gathered the others at the benches as well.

"Alright Killian, we are here for you no matter what you tell us," Candice said with a reassuring smile. I returned it before I took a really deep, deep breath.

"First of all, I need to know that nothing I say will leave this group. Not even the Alpha or anyone else." I stated and they fell silent for a moment. I watched as they all looked to Kelsey and I knew they were waiting for her to say so.

"I promise on behalf of all of us, we shall not tell another living soul a word," Kelsey responded after some thought and I nodded. That was all it took for me to open my mouth and spill my guts. I started at the beginning with the loss of my best friend, the loss of my parents, getting adopted, what they did to me almost every night, and everything else about my past. I waited until the very end to tell them about what I was and to say they were shocked was an understatement. I left out that I was what they referred to as the mood Goddess. I didn't know how my friends would feel about me creating their species in a past life.

By the time I was done talking, everyone was in tears. Candice clung to my right side while Kelsey claimed the left. Mira and Mara claimed my legs. The others all stared at the ground with tears of their own, even the males were watery-eyed. I suppose they had not expected me to say I was an orphan that was beaten and raped on a daily basis.

"Oh my God… how the fuck did you handle it all? I never would have made it past the first year but, but, for ten years?" Kelsey blubbered into my shoulder. All I could do is rub her back as she cried, the others had already calmed down.

"It's alright, Kelsey… or at least it will be." I murmured and she nodded as she tried to get control of her emotions. I looked over to John and rolled my eyes when he just sat there.

"John, so help me, Goddess, get your ass over here and help your mate," I growled into his mind, thanks to being the creator of specific species I was able to link his mind with mine to talk to him. It would have been comical with how he jumped. His eyes shot over to me and I bobbed my head to point as his mate. He sighed and stood from his seat. John scooped up Kelsey and cradled her to his chest with nothing but love in his eyes as he looked at her. She continued to hold onto my hand like I would disappear if she didn't.

"There is more and it's important. My adoptive parents are Lovac." I said and Kelsey sat up straight. All her tears were gone, as the others gasped at the mention of them.

Kelsey's POV

"Are you sure, Killian?" I asked as the others filled my mind with their worried chatter. He nodded as he looked me in the eye. I knew he wouldn't lie to me about this but I truly hoped he was wrong. Lovac is the most dangerous thing in the world to the supernatural kind.

"How did you find out?" I asked and to my shock he shook his head 'no'. Would he not tell us how he knew such dangerous information?

"Do not fear children, I will explain everything. It is just a lot and we need to make sure that you understand." Killian said in a rather feminine voice. When I looked to his eyes, it clicked that this was Selene. The purple and red eyes gave it away. I wonder if she is the Moon Goddess, she has the same name and the same eye color.

"Alright then, will you tell us?" Candice asked and I nodded to encourage Selene to speak. With a sigh she nodded that she would tell us.

"First of all, Lee is the Lovac's son. He was apparently bitten when he was about fifteen and his parents rejected him. Second, they tried to replace him with Carson but he is not human either and also is my brother by bond. Third, we need a huge favor." she explained and I nodded along, as the others did the same. That was a lot to take in but it all made sense. By the time I looked back up, Selene had gone and it was Killian again.

"What is it?" Mara asked as we all looked to Killian. He took a deep breath and looked at me. Whether it was for comfort and the need to talk to me, I didn't know. So, I gave him a reassuring smile.

"Carson and I are officially eighteen and can leave that house legally and for good. I know this is a lot to ask but we need a place to go once we get his things." Killian asked with hopeful eyes. I heard a huff from behind me and knew instantly who it was. Before I could say a word the person behind me spoke.

"Did you really think after everything you told us, we were going to let you stay in that house. I may not have been your biggest fan when we met but even I am not that damn cold." John replied and my jaw dropped. Of all the people to agree to this, I never would have guessed him.

"While I still don't know why you hate me, I do thank you for that," Killian answered with a sad smile. I looked between the two with a content smile of my own. After all that had happened I doubted these two would ever become friends. Though Killian is most likely putting up with him for my sake, I am glad that I was wrong.

"My family owns some apartments not far from here. I will set you up with one with two bedrooms. You won't have to pay anything except for the utilities." I finally said and he looked at me with wide eyes. Then a grateful smile appeared on his face.

"They don't have any furniture and you would have to buy your own food." Thomas added and I nodded knowing it was true.

"That is fine, I have all of my parent's old things in storage. I could furnish an entire mansion if I so needed to. Plus, I have a job and Carson is going to get one as well. Thank you, guys." Killian responded and we all smiled at him. I'm so glad I was able to help him, and even more glad he came to me for help. I feel like I can finally be the friend I should have been all along.
