Selene's POV
Our heart was beating very slowly and we were going to die soon. I forced Killian's soul to sleep as the blood loss started to affect our body. In a way, he was my child and I need to protect him. I didn't want him to have a front-row seat if we were to die. Instead I allowed him to sleep as I felt out body stop working. We were all pulled into a dark space in the back of our mind as our heartbeat grew weaker.
Amelia held onto Killian's spirit as I paced the small dark space. I tried to heal us but there was just so much to heal. The others had already used up too much of their magic doing the same. Fear crept into my mind as I thought about both me and my children dying so soon. Amelia cradled our boy to her chest as we waited for the final countdown. He stirred as I was unable to keep him asleep.
"Sell? What's going on?" Killias asked in his adorable raspy, just woke up voice. I focused on keeping our heart beating as I walked over to him. I placed my hand on his cheek to comfort him.
"Don't you worry, love. Just go back to sleep and all will be well when you wake." I lied to Killian but of course he believed me. He snuggled into Amelia's embrace and closed his eyes again. I could see how pale he looked and frowned. Our body had many internal and external injuries. Why did they have to beat and take him unwillingly… he is so damaged now. He will never be the same after this.
"KILLIAN!" a familiar female voice screeched and I breathed in a sigh of relief.
'About damn time… you about let us die!' I thought as I felt hands checking us for a pulse. The voice kept calling out for us as she worked and I was grateful for it. Without that anchor, we might have been swept away into the abyss. As it was, I was the only one keeping us all there.
There was something warm and wet as it glided over my cuts. To be honest, it felt really fucking gross but, if it saved our life then I would allow it. It was when the feeling finally stopped that the door to my room opened. The person on the other side asked what the emergency was. The female voice explained what happened and the other hollered out a code one.
After that, all that could be heard was my heart monitor, the doctors yelling over each other in their lingo, and the air blowing through the mask they placed over my mouth and nose.

It felt like hours by the time they stopped yelling. I was still shocked we were alive after all the time it took for them to get their shit together. Killian and I almost died, along with our guides. It would suck to die before we were able to become immortal, talk about irony. I was furious and ready to yell at them but then I heard the best news.
"He is finally stable after he received some blood and healing enzymes. Most of his injuries are healed. We will have to wait until he wakes up to see if he feels any pain anywhere. Until then, I will stay with him. I don't want that shit to happen again. By the way, Jane is so fired. I told her to stay with him and start his I.V. but she was nowhere in sight when I got here. She also never returned." the familiar female voice said and the others muttered agreements.
As I struggled to regain the function of my body, I thought about my first shift. It should come by the end of this week unless being the moon Goddess changes things. I struggled to open my eyes as the others discussed what our merged form would look like. None of them had been merged with a Goddess before and had no idea what the final outcome would be. I struggled to force my eyes open but it felt as though they were glued shut. I tried to move my hand but it felt like it weighed ten tons. I internally sighed and focused on my eyes.
After several minutes, I was able to open my eyes but my body still felt heavy. It was an odd feeling to be awake but unable to move. I took my time and grounded myself so I would not panic. Killian was doing that enough for both of us as he woke abruptly like a fire was lit under his ass.
"Hello?" I called out as soon as I was able. My eyes traveled around the small room knowing the female said she would stick around. It didn't take long for the familiar face of Silla to come into view. I tried to move my hand to reach out to her but my hand flared with pain. Finally able to move properly, I looked down to find an I.V. in it. I sighed and Silla pulled a chair next to the bed and sat down. As soon as her eyes met mine, she bared her neck with fear in her eyes. Her eyes turned an eerie black as her wolf took control of their human body.
"Be calm my child for I am your mother. You can feel it in your soul, can't you?" I called out to Silla's wolf, Timber. She slowly moved to sit normally as Silla was returned to control. I could still see Timber behind her eyes.
"What the hell was that?" she asked with a worried expression and I sighed knowing the jig was up. I had to tell them who I am but Killian won't like that.
"It's fine, they should know. I trust this pack." Killian whispered, having been listening he knew what I must do.
"That is a long story, child. To mortals, I am known as the daughter of Hyperion and Theia in Greek mythology. Which is completely false but I am a god of creation, a Pengeran. However, to the supernaturals, I am known as the moon Goddess. If for some reason you do not believe me, I suggest asking your wolf, Timber." I answered and she stared at me slack Jawed. I was very tempted to laugh along with Killian but managed to keep a straight face. We sat in silence until I couldn't stand it any longer. I needed to know how our body was so Killian could have the control he desires back. Though he hadn't asked, I could feel it. I had no problem taking a back seat for him, after all, he is my child.
"I must ask how Killian is?" I interrupted her inner turmoil and she jumped as she was brought back to reality. She jumped into action and checked our body over. Much to my shock, we looked nearly healed with only some new scars to go along with the others. There were only a few injuries but even those were no longer serious.
"We were able to heal most of your injuries, but as you can see they will scar. However, as a medical professional I need to explain what happened while you were passed out. I am required by law to make use of a rape kit for anyone that claimed to be raped. We also are required to log and take pictures of any injuries that were sustained. So, if you ever decide to go to the police with this, we have the evidence that you would need. While it was not necessary, we also logged your scars as well with pictures as well. I apologize but it is needed for the abuse file we created. With that, I only need to file it and the state will be aware." Silla explained and Killian went silent as I nodded in understanding.
"Thank you, but we need time to think about all of this," I responded in a blank tone, my voice giving nothing away.
"Anything for a patient. Though you are also a friend of my Alpha's and our moon Goddess. This will take some getting used to." She admitted and this time, I did laugh. It felt great to enjoy another adult's company. All the guides are the same age as Killian and they are my main source of company.
"KAY!" I heard a familiar voice squeal. I smiled when I looked to the door, Kelsey in all her brunet glory, slood at the door. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, wearing a pair of black jeans and a snug camo top. Black combat boots adorned her feet and a black and silver pendant hung from her neck. It was a far cry from her usual wardrobe but she looked amazing.
"Hey Kell, did ya miss us?" I asked and she rushed over to me and jumped on me. Killian tried to warn me but was too late as she was already on the bed by the time he noticed.
"More than you know, Kay. Even my wolf has been losing his mind," she answered and I hugged her over the shoulders as Silla excused herself.
"Hush child, both Killian and I are alive and well. You cannot burden your host when she feels the same." I warned her wolf through the link I shared with my creations.
"Yes, mother." Fenril, Kelsey's wolf replied. I smiled and was shocked to hear the girl in my arms purr. I looked down to find her asleep. With each breath, she released purr like snores.
"I know that you are there. You should come in instead of loitering. If she forgave you then I will not hold your actions against you." I called out to John. I had smelled him as soon as Kelsey entered the room. I knew he would not have gone far from his mate while she was with another male.
A few moments later, John walked into the room with a glare on his face. A soft growl escaped him as he saw our position but I only rolled my eyes. I was tired of his petty jealousy when I had no interest in his mate.
"Maximus!" I whisper/yelled and he snapped out of it. He took the seat that Silla was in before with his eyes glowing a brilliant yellow. A high pitched whine left his mouth as he looked up at me through his lashes.
"Let him have control, we need to talk," I ordered and Max, John's wolf, quickly obeyed.
"Why did my wolf listen to you? What do we need to discuss?" he asked with forced calmness.
"There are many things that we need to discuss but first of all, we need to talk about your mate," I answered and he stiffened in his seat. It took all of my will power not to roll my eyes again. This boy brings out the petty in this Goddess.
"If we are to speak of my mate then I wish to make one thing clear. I do not hate you or your friendship with her. My wolf and I only hate the close contact with her that you seem to always have. We are possessive and feel that other men should not touch her. Yet, she always has close proximity to you. What is even worse is that my wolf and I also feel like we should be doing the same. It is freaking me out because I am in no way … well, gay." he rambled and I burst out laughing at his last statement. He felt the attraction to my soul and mistook it for lust. I couldn't help the laughter as it slipped past my lips. I had not laughed that hard in such a long time.
"Oh my God's, John. I didn't know that you were funny! I thought you were a simple stick in the mud. However, that is part of what I needed to tell you. I wanted to tell you both but it seems your mate fell asleep. Anywho, if I am to tell you why you wish to submit to me. You need to promise to tell nobody, not even your mate." I responded and he sat up straight. His attention and interest were obvious as his wide eyes looked into my own.
"Fucking deal! Now please explain why the hell I am acting like this!" he half asked and half ordered. A smile made its way onto my face knowing that I was about to drop a big ass bomb on him.
"My name is Selene, as you know, but I am actually what the supernatural creatures refer to as the moon Goddess," I stated and I watched as his jaw hit the floor. I smirked at his reaction and then he shook his head.
"There is no way! You are a dude!" He whispered/yelled, trying to preserve his mate's sleep.
"If you do not believe me, then ask your wolf," I responded and turned my attention to Kelsey. Sof purrs still escaped her but they were less even. I knew that she would wake soon enough.
"This is fucking crazy…" he mumbled and I smirked when our eyes met.
"That is not even half of it," I replied as a laugh once again escaped me. His eyes suddenly grew wide at the same time his wolf connected with me.
"He just realized how much of an ass he has been to his kind's creator." Maximus shot through our link before closing it again and I laughed harder knowing it was true. The look of horror on the boy's face was quite something.
"What else is there?" John asked with renewed curiosity. I smiled as I explained what else was going on. He agreed that the first change should happen by the end of the week. If it doesn't, he believed that being a Pengeran has nothing to do with it. He thinks it would be because our body still needs time to adjust to having so many souls in it. Not to mention that it will also have to take on a new shape.
"We are extremely vulnerable until our first shift. Once we shift, we will become immortal." I finished and he nodded.
"Jesus Christ… you have a ridiculous life," he mumbled and I nodded along.
"Just know that Killian and I are the same person, even if we are what your people have worshiped throughout time," I said.
"Alright, but didn't you have something to tell me about my mate?" John asked and I nodded.
I felt Anissa move but her breaths were still even and her eyes still closed. I hoped that she was still asleep as I took a deep breath. I needed to tell him and hope that he could keep it to himself long enough for me to tell the others myself.
Anissa's POV
"Right, but before that, I need to know that you can keep this a secret. Even from her, I want to be the one to tell her. If I am not the one to tell her, she will hate me and I don't think I could survive her hating me." I heard Killian say as I woke from my nap. I kept my eyes closed and my breathing even as I felt his eyes on me. Whoever he was talking to must have nodded.
"While you are both my children, she is special. Her wolf was one of the first I ever created. So, I have a special connection with my first creations because I didn't give them humans right away. Instead, I kept them with me for years. It was only after a few years that I created human souls that would merge well with the wolves that I released them into the world. Both her and her wolf, Fenril, can feel that familial connection with me." Killian in a feminine voice explained and my wolf yipped inside my head.
"I will not tell her, but I will not keep this a secret for long. I love and respect her too much to lie or keep secrets from her." John answered and Fenril purred.
"You no longer need to keep it secret from her. It seems your mate is a little sneak!" Killian responded in the same high pitched voice.
"Sorry, I just didn't want to interrupt," I replied sleepily with my half-truth. Though, when I opened my eyes, he looked very unconvinced.
"Kells, I know when you are lying. Even if Fenril didn't rat you out, you get a crease between your eyebrows." Killian responded as I looked into his eyes. Instead of seeing the familiar blue and green, I was met with red and purple.
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused. How could he talk to my wolf? There is no way that he could. But if he could, I could only imagine the things Fenril would say.
"John, give us a minute?" Selen/Killian asked and much to my shock, he listened. He bowed slightly to my best friend and looked at me.
"I will go grab us some drinks. Just mind link me when you are done?" He said before he asked Killian to link him. My shock was in no way hidden as he agreed and my mate left me alone with a male. My eyes were huge by this point. I couldn't help but wonder what the hell I missed.
"Kelsey, I have much to tell you. I asked John not to tell you and he agreed as long as I didn't wait too long to tell you. I didn't imagine telling you in the hospital but you deserve to know." Selene/ Killian answered my unspoken question.
"What's going on?" I asked worriedly. He smiled at me with a warmth I didn't think possible.
"As you know, my name is Selene, but most supernatural creatures know me as the moon Goddess. Your wolf, Fenril, was one of the first I created," he answered and my eyes got impossibly wider. It took a moment of sitting there before I really absorbed the new information into my brain.
"How is.. You can't be... What?" I asked and hoped he knew what I was trying to say. By the amused smile on his face, he did.
"Hush and I will explain," he mumbled and placed a chaste kiss on my temple. I felt like I should have been afraid but I could only feel at peace being next to him. He was my best friend and if what he said was true, he was also the mother of my race. I slowly nodded my head as I closed my mouth.
"I was killed a very long time ago as a sacrifice to another God. However, Gods are immortal and I was reborn as a male this time. However, I was sealed away inside of my body and half of my soul was left to fend for itself. I gave it a persona of its own, and you know it as Killian. He is my Hafu ina, and I love him as much as any of my other children. That was why I didn't just absorb him back into me. The truth came out when we merged with our guides." he explained and I nodded along to show I understood. Even though I am not sure that I did. However, one thought was stuck in my mind ever since my mate, John left.
"Okay, but you need to tell me how you got John to chill the fuck out. He basically hated you and now he is acting like a lap dog. Pun not intended." I inquired and a smirk crawled onto his lips.
"You can't really act like an asshat to your own mother. Now that he knows who I am, I think he will chill a bit," he responded, the smirk never leaving his lips. I giggled as I nodded along.
