Chapter 13 - Chapter 11

Killian's POV~

"Welcome back to school!" a group of four teens cheered and my eyes left the familiar gray ones to see several students around my desk. Tiffany Genetti sat in front of me as always with an odd smile on her lips. There were three others gathered around my desk with seemingly sincere smiles.

"Thank you?" I responded, the question obvious in my tone. I looked over the three unknown people as they shared a look. There were two boys and another girl besides Tiffany. The two boys looked like complete opposites. The tall one had dark skin, mismatched green and brown eyes, and Black hair. The shorter one had fair skin, green eyes, and blonde hair. The girl looked similar to the shorter boy with her blonde hair and height. Instead of green eyes, she had ice blue ones that seemed to look into my soul.

"No need to thank us, Killian. We are all a part of the Volk and wanted to make sure that you settled in alright." The taller of the two boys responded with a kind smile. I could see the sincerity in his eyes and returned the smile with a quick nod.

"Soo, if nobody else will ask… I will. Why did you have to join our pack? You are a mere human, aren't you?" The shorter boy asked bluntly and my jaw nearly dropped. With the way the others snapped their gaze over to him, they had not expected that either. The question threw me off just as much as the snotty tone that he used. I was quick to school my features and think about how to answer.

" I joined your pack for many reasons and most of them are personal. The least of which is the rumors going around this school. As for you calling me human, that was just rude. I don't have a drop of human blood in me." I responded and it was his turn to be shocked. What I didn't expect was his friends to slap him in the back of the head at the same time. Both Selene and I internally snorted at the action.

"Ow! What was that for?" he growled and the girl slapped him in the back of the head again.

"First of all, never growl at me again or I will ban your favorite activity. Second of all, that was not only an insensitive question but also very rude." She replied in a stern voice that had him whisper a quick 'yes ma'am'.

"I apologize, Killian. I didn't mean to ask something that would upset you. I was just super curious since we hadn't gotten any new members in a while. Damn, even my wolf is pissed at how inconsiderate I was…" he apologized to me with a sad look on his face. It was hard to believe that he meant any real harm. I sent Selene to chat with his wolf as I nodded in acceptance of his apology. He slowly relaxed and seemed to be alright after a few minutes. When she returned to me, she explained his wolf was tearing him a new one.

"So, what are your names?" I finally asked and realization passed over each of their faces. It was comical to see them all realize they never introduced themselves.

"Oh my gosh! How did we forget that?" the girl with blonde hair surmised as she face palmed. I cracked a smile as the others laughed at her reaction.

"Well, I suppose now is as good a time as any to do so." The taller of the two boys said and I nodded in agreement.

"My name is Clayson, this is Kassie, and that idiot over there is Jake. The blonde in front of you is Tiffany." he added as he pointed to each person. I nodded along and smiled at each of them. That was until he reached Tiffany, I was quick to notice the hateful glare on her face as she looked at me. Though, as soon as she noticed my stare, she schooled her looks and smiled.

"Nice to meet you all but, it's almost time for class; are you three even in this class?" I responded as I motioned to Clayson, Kassie, and Jake. Ialready knew Tiffany was in my class and didn't need to ask.

"Oh shit! We gotta go! Talk to you later, Kay." Kassie announced. I laughed as I nodded and they left for their own classrooms. I turned back to Tiffany and she had an odd look on her face. I raised an eyebrow and she leaned closer to me. Her head propped up in her hand and she batted her mascara-filled eyelashes.

"I know we just met but my wolf keeps bugging me to talk to you. She says that you can help us find our mate." she said as she brushed some of her hair out of her eyes. If only this girl knew that we batted for the same team. I could see through her quite well, it was obvious that she wanted my help and thought becoming a flirt would make it happen.

"Sorry but I didn't hear a question." I responded without emotion or any real interest in the conversation. Her eyes filled with annoyance but once again she was quick to school her features.

"Oh, I was just wondering if you were capable of doing such a thing? And if you are, could you help me?" she asked and I thought it over for a few minutes. Selene admitted that it was possible but there was something off about this girl. She acted nice enough but the subtle hints were there and I didn't like what they hinted at. I wanted to laugh as she batted her eyelashes in an attempt to flirt. However, I managed to refrain and instead thought about how I should handle this. The solution came rather quickly as I looked into her traitorous eyes.

"Tiffany, I am fully capable and willing to help so long as you have the Alpha, Luna, and their daughter talk to me on your behalf. They will understand my requirements." I replied in the same emotionless tone and then it was all over. I had hoped that this would make a good compromise but Instead her face grew red as it shifted into a disgusted sneer. I was glad that there were only a few people in the class as she reared back and glared at me like I personally assaulted her.

"You dumb whore! I only asked because Charlie begged me to but I knew a faggot ass like you could never be any help to a queen like me." She spat and I wasted no time.

"Listen here hoe, it is sad enough that no straight man wants you. Even if I was straight, I would never have gone within a ten foot radius of your snatch. Now, you came to me for my help, not the other way around. So don't even start with me or so help me Goddess, you will NEVER find your mate." I snapped with a smirk on my lips. Selene combed through ideas of how to make her pay for her blasphemy.

"And how could a weak, pathetic, useless, faggot do such a thing as that? As if! There is nothing that you could do to me and you know it." she responded and that was my breaking point. I reached out quickly with my hand and smacked it to her forehead. Selene pushed forward and transported our soul into her body. I wasted no time and searched for our daughter, Charlie.

What I found in this girl's mind explained it all. It was dark and held no empathy for others. Charlie was chained down with black ropes, muzzled, and left to slowly die in the back of Tiffany's mind. It was Clear to Selene and I that this blonde bitch was a sociopath. I reached out to my daughter, Charlie and helped her get rid of what tied her down.

"Hello child, it has been a long time since I have seen you." Selene and I said together as we looked down at the pale red wolf. Her amber eyes looked up at us and it broke my heart to see how empty they were.

"Mother? What are you doing here?" she asked in a voice so weak it made me whimper. My children are suffering and I had no idea just how much. I knelt beside her and pulled her into a hug.

"I am here for you, Charlie. Your human came to me for help but she turned on me when I told her to get the alpha families approval. She said you begged her to seek me out but I now believe it to be false." I replied and she shook uncontrollably as soon as Tiffany was brought up. I only held her tighter and fought back the tears.

"I have not spoken to her for over three years. She found a way to lock me away like this. I still have no idea how she did it and was still able to shift." Charlie responded and I was on edge instantly. Questions filled my mind as to why Tiffany sought me out then and if she knew who I was. I was lost in my thoughts until a whimper pulled me back to the wolf curled up against my chest.

"I can save you from this with the help of Selene. I can pull you from your host and we could find a new solution for you. You have a few options such as going back to our realm, having a new body without a host, and others." I answered her cry and her beautiful amber eyes shot up to my own.

"You would do that?" she asked with distrust all over her wolven features. I nodded with a soft smile on my lips. Tears well up in her eyes as she looked around her.

"Do you want me to take you away from this host?" I asked and her head whipped over to me. Before I knew what happened she pushed me over and nuzzled her face into my neck.

"If I stay here… I will die sooner rather than later. I need your help Goddess. Please help me…" Charlie whimpered and I nodded in understanding.

"This is what I am going to do, I need to go back to my body. Then I will separate you from your host and put your soul into a new body. It will be a toy sized wolf body that looks exactly like you. Then we can discuss what to do next once I am done with my human duties. We also need to speak to the alpha after this." I answered and she nodded. Her amber eyes met mine and I could see the glimmer of hope that was not there before.

Once I was back in my own body, Selene took over from there and I watched from the back of our mind.

Selene's POV~

The second I was in control I stopped time with a wave of my hand. It was a simple matter for a Goddess such as myself. I made quick work of the girl's memory of the day's events. She won't remember having a wolf, meeting me, but instead they will be replaced with new memories. It was a kindness she did not deserve for what she did to my daughter but I couldn't find it within myself to leave it be.

"Dala impisi encane" I chanted softly three times as I held my hands together. With each chant, I could feel the small wolf form between my palms. Then it was just the matter of removing Charlie from her host and moving her soul into the new body. Once the small body was formed, I looked it over to make sure all was well. It looked exactly like Charlie with the exception of her size. I placed my hand on Tiffany's chest, just above her heart while my other hand held the small wolf.

"Ukuthuthwa kweSeoul" I muttered continuously until I felt Charlie's soul leave Tiffany's body and enter the one in my palm. I had never been so glad to see her amber eyes look up at me. I smiled softly as she slowly stood up in the center of my palm. My eyes glued to her small form as she took careful stepps across my hand.

"How do you feel?" I asked through the link I share with all my children. She raised her eyes to look back at me, obviously startled.

"I feel good and light. Everything seems to work and I am not bound to that human anymore." she replied with distaste as she spoke of Tiffany. I nodded in understanding as she curled up into the palm of my hand. She placed a soft lick to my palm and I knew it was her thanks.

"I need to restart time soon. So, I need you to hide in my pocket until we get back to the pack house. There are too many humans here that don't know about supernaturals." I instructed the small wolf and placed her in my pocket. She snuggled down into the cloth as I started time back up. Tiffany, who was still turned to look at me, stared at for a moment until I raised an eyebrow. She was quick to turn away from me just in time for the other students to flood the room and take their seats. As the teacher walked in, I returned control to Killian and watched from his point of view.
