Don and Donna dropped off her dad and headed to Donna's house.
Don had lovingly held Donna's hand all the way to her house. When they arrived, he stopped the car and smiled. He looked at Donna and as they began to get out, he tightened his hold on her hand. Nothing was said, nothing needed to be said.
Donna felt so at peace because Don was home again and now she had her father back. She never thought in a million years that a miracle like her Dad would happen. She felt so blessed with her two men!
Don promised Donna that he would stay with her but he wanted to be close so he'd sleep on the couch. Donna got Don the covers he needed while he showered before he went to sleep. When Don came out, there stood Donna yawning and already in her robe. She told Don she was tired and was headed to bed and gave him a a quick peck on the cheek.
The next morning came with two sleepy heads in love. Donna smiled when she woke up covered Don up before getting up to make coffee. Don tried to get Donna to come back to bed but she had always been
an early bird because of her job.
In a few minutes, Donna came into the living room with their coffee and Don got up to talk to his lady.
Donna asked him what his plans were for the day. "I thought I'd go visit your dad and ask him if he wants to go fishing this morning or just visit for awhile. Is that okay with you Hon or were you making plans
with him?" Donna was surprised but very happy that Don wanted to get to know her dad so soon. "That's great, Don. You guys have a good time and give me a call whenever you head this way, and I'll cook dinner for you." Don never turned down a great meal cooked by a beautiful lady! "Great, I'm looking forward to it!
Don started to leave when he realized that they had not spoken of the nutcase that left Donna a note saying "Next Time" on two separate occasions. The first time someone came in and made themselves at home by taking a shower, eating some food and leaving a mess in the kitchen, along with that weird note. The last time this same note was left was when someone banged on the door, and yelled for Donna and JoAnn to open the door but Donna had her pistol and the person quickly left, leaving the infamous note again.
After Donna's dad officially talked with her bdad on the phone, she had asked him and her dad said that it wasn't him. Everything had settled down and nothing else had happened recently, it had quietly been put on the back burner. Still, Don did not want to leave Donna alone but she insisted she would be fine so he went ahead and left.
Don really liked Donna's dad, Charles and was hoping for relationship with him since he was seriously in love with his daughter.
Don found Charles at a little Mom and Pop store having breakfast. "Hi, Don. Have a seat. Like something to eat son?" Don replied, "No, I'm good but a hot cup of coffee would work well."
"You're kind of early to pick me up, aren't you?" "Yes sir but I wanted to ask you if you might want to go fishing?" "Fishing, really? I would love to go. You mean now?" "I mean "now". Well alright, let me get some fishing clothes on and I'll be ready to go! Isn't Donna going?" "No, it's a guy day!" Besides, Donna wants to cook for her dad. After fishing, we'll head over there to eat."
Charles just beamed with happiness. Don really liked Charles and knew they'd be friends probably for life. Charles changed into his fishing clothes and they were off for a day of fishing!
Meanwhile, back at the lake house...
