It was true, Donna's dad was alive and though much older by now, she knew she'd remember those beautiful blue-gray eyes and sweet smile because when they told her that her dad was dead that long ago day, she sat staring at a picture and studied that beautiful loving face and wondered what made her mother cheat on her dad to cause the terrible double murders of her mother and her lover.*

*Authors Note: Love is a jealous taskmaster. Once you have shared the very essence of someone and trusted them, betrayal cuts a hole straight through the heart and all bets are off. A broken heart takes on a mind of its own. It hurts like no other hurt and revenge can start to circle your mind like a vulture hunting for a meal, a meal that will satisfy the hurting heart for awhile but DON'T listen, revenge is not so sweet as it may seem! Sometimes, its murder! If taken far enough, it can cost you much! Best to let that cloud float on by and reserve your integrity and sanity!

Donna made it to the airport and parked just in time for Don's plane. When Don saw her, he picked her up and kissed her as though it had been weeks since he last saw her. "Oh Hon, I missed you so much!" At his words, Donna began to sob almost uncontrollably! Donna, what's wrong, Hon?" "I'm sorry." It's just that so much has happened while you were away!" "Donna, you never mentioned that anything was wrong!" "I know. I did that intentionally!" I didn't want you to worry, so Jo and I managed or at least we thought we did! "Managed?" "Good grief, woman, tell me what happened?"
Donna started from the beginning when she noticed this old man following her around at the grocery store and ended with the phone call from her aunt telling Donna that her dad was still alive. Don was flabbergasted to say the least! "Hon, I wouldn't have even gone if you had told me just one of those things, little on, all of them!" "I know Don but Jo and I thought we could manage them on our own but we didn't do that well I guess!" "Actually you did Donna." No one got hurt, no one got killed, you now have a dad to love again but whatever happened to the two notes that read "Next Time" on them or the speeding car and someone banging on your door when you and Jo were there alone?" "Oh yes, the police were
called. "All in all, I'm very proud of you two young ladies! You handled everything wonderfully!" "Thanks Hon, but we would have loved for you to have been here. "Well, I would have loved to have had a couple of minutes with the guy banging on your door! Now, let's go meet your dad! You for the second time and me for the first! "Not scared, are you Honey?" Actually Don, its like a dream come true for me." "I know it must be!" With that, Don held her so close, she thought he cracked a rib." "Your weekend okay Don?" "Yes, except I got so lonesome for this beautiful redhead that it almost messed up my game plan at the meeting." Why? I kept daydreaming about holding you when I got back home but I snapped out of it when the boss called on me to followup on the last question."
"Almost there, ready?" Don replied. Donna wasn't as sure as she wanted to be but still she was excited!
