CHAPTER FOURTY
Desi could not go to school for three days. Because of the vigorous exercise she had done with Michael Kingston. When she finally got to school, she wondered when she would graduate. As a matter of fact it was obvious to everyone that she hated school.
Everything the teacher said was jumbo. She didn't understand a thing. Or perhaps her mind was occupied with another thing. She blushed as she thought of it. She hadn't seen Michael because he went on a business trip. She decided to revisit the topic later. She was on her way to the library when someone stopped her halfway.
"Hello beauty."
"Oh, Ferdinand what are you doing here."
"I was going to the library."
It was a lie! He wasn't going to the library but to her lecture hall. But, after seeing her head towards that direction, he decided to make it his destination too.
"I'm going there too."
"Lets go together then."
They both went to the library. Desi told Felix about her problems in some topics and he decided to help her out. It was at this juncture that Desi found out that he was a brainbox. For this first time since they met, Desi looked at him in a new light.
"Ferdinand, I want you to become my personal tutor. Please don't say no."
"It's Felix, how much are you going to pay me?"
"Don't be so greedy, Ferdinand I thought we were friends!" Desi said and made a puppy face, acting all cute.
"Alright, I will teach you, and in return we'll keep having lunch together. Don't worry, you don't have to pay for the meal."
Out of excitement Desi threw herself in his arms.
"Thank you Ferdinand."
Felix's heart was filled with warmth when she bounced on his body. Who cares if she called him Ferdinand. In fact he would answer Ferdinand only for her. He would be her one and only Ferdinand. To him Desiree Le grande was a keeper!
Felix dropped Desi in front of Heavens gate residence. She didn't want him to know the particular house she resided in. She walked towards the mansion and the gate was opened for her.
She noticed that the servants were all busy. Normally, they would have been slacking because they knew that Michael wasn't home.
He was probably home. She tiptoed to her room. After a while her phone buzzed. It was a message from T-Rex. Speaking of which, it had been long since they last spoke.
She opened her laptop, T-Rex was waiting already.
T-Rex: I'm heartbroken . You forgot all about me Dee.
Desi: I got married.
T-Rex: what! When? How?
Desi: I got married to Michael Kingston.
T-Rex: Desiree LE grande! You are the most self-centered woman I ever met. How can you have a wedding without informing your buddy? sob...sob...sob.
Desi: We aren't having any wedding at least not yet. We only registered our marriage at the Civil Bereau. Now quit acting, tell me about Le grande enterprise.
T-Rex: LE grande's Enterprise seems fishy Dee. It looks as if your grandpa wields most of the shares, but in truth he only owns 5% of the shares. Majority of the shareholders are fake. It seems to me, that just a person wields 50% of the shares. But hides in the shadows of various shareholders.
Desi: This is fishy indeed! How come you don't know who? You are the best hacker in the country, you can find anything.
T-Rex: I tried to, Dee. But, the other party quickly found out and blocked every info. Dee, that person wields a lot of power but wants to stay hidden. The person might even be more powerful than the Kingstons.
Desi: How could this be?
T-Rex: I want to leave now Dee. Remember to clear up this chat. Don't forget to invite me to your wedding. Love you.
In front of her screen she could see a notification. 'T-Rex has logged out.' Desi was lost in thoughts, an unknown shareholder in Le grande's Enterprise? How was that even possible?
If her Grandfather wasn't the main shareholder, then who?
She was still lost in thoughts when she was informed that dinner was ready. She sluggishly dragged herself out of bed and headed to the dining room.
As she had expected, Michael was there too. She made herself comfortable and started digging into her meal. She seemed lost, she wasn't her normal cheerful self. She was pulled back to reality when she heard a deep masculine voice.
"A dollar bill for your thoughts?"
Michael said while placing a dollar bill in front of her.
Desi laughed and shook her head.
"I'm good, I'm not thinking of anything."
"Okay, my mother wants to see you. She wants to make sure you are well fed and prepared for pregnancy." He said.
Desi's face flushed red when he said that. It made her remember the events of that day. To make matters worse he continued.
"Why are you all red? Would you like us to go over the events of that day? Do you want me to remind you of the way you screamed my name out of ecstasy? Do you me to remind....."
" Stooooopp! Michael Kingston could you just be less shameless? I lost my appetite, have your table all to yourself!" She said and started walking away when she heard.
"Oh... And that moon at the top of your bossom is quite seducing."
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!" Desi screamed and ran out of there, while Michael chuckled to himself. He was beginning to like this muse of his!
