CHAPTER FOURTY-SIX
They both walked into the restaurant, one trailing after the other. They didn't garner much attention because they weren't in their formal outfit or their outing wears. They were just putting on their old clothes and so people cared less about them.
The reception casually gave them a random table without even looking at them. When she saw that the lady and the man were still standing in front of the counter she tried to shoo them away.
"Sir, Madam, I have other customers to attend to, please go to your assigned table." She had said. Not trying to sound too rude, and not trying to sound too polite.
After that Michael's husky voice came.
"We want the VIP section."
When the receptionist heard this, she almost laughed out. Are these people crazy? Aren't they aware that this was a top-notch restaurant and random people couldn't enter as they wanted. She looked at the two people standing in front of her. Although their skin were well polished, they attire said otherwise.
"Sir, the VIP section is for Vip's alone. Please do not make me repeat myself, leave the restaurant, you are not worthy." She said as pointed at both Desi and Michael.
Desi was already tired of the drama the whole night, so she tugged at Michael's shirt, signaling for them to leave. Michael nodded but not without making a call in front of the receptionist.
He dailed a number on his phone and soon the call was connected. He said to the person at the other end of the call.
"I want Royals Restaurant to be closed up by tomorrow morning, the employees lack manners." With this he hung up the call.
The receptionist had wanted to take it as a joke. Who were these people? They were sure overestimating themselves. There was only one person in country B who could close down the restaurant. It was Michael Kingston. As she thought of that name she blushed. She brought out her phone and opened to her gallery. Thousands of pictures of Michael Kingston were all there. As she watched the pictures she suddenly furrowed her brow. That man looked a lot like Michael Kingston. Just then she gasped. She had just chased Michael Kingston out of the restaurant. She quickly rushed out of the counter and dashed outside. Immediately she came out, Michael's car swept past her. She ran after the car trying as much as possible to stop the car but the car was long gone. Her legs felt weak and she fell to the floor crying. Was this how she lost her job? She wondered.
-
From the car mirror Desi could see the receptionist chasing after them. She said to Michael.
"Young Master Kingston, seems like she had finally recognized you."
"Young Madam Kingston, she's too late."
Desi giggled at the way he had addressed her. Was he also trying to be formal with her? But, why did he use 'Young Madam Kingston' instead of 'Young Miss Le grande'? After all they both knew that their marriage wasn't real. But, he had chosen to adress her as his wife instead. She didn't know why but a strong feeling of warmth engulfed her.
"Are you really going to close down that restaurant?" She asked again.
"Yes!"
He answered firmly. She knew that Michael Kingston was ruthless when he punished people. But, she hadn't witnessed it person. She had actually thought he was giving out a mere threat. She turned her gaze to his face. Behind that extremely white skin, a very dark shadow resided. She knew she had to tread carefully on his part.
"Let's go to a low key restaurant, we can enjoy our meal there."
"okay."
-
They got to a low key restaurant by the road side. Desi was asked to order anything, and she ordered everything. Michael was then forced to eat from what she ordered, because the food Desi ordered filled up the whole table. Desi ate till she was filled, but looking at the meal that was still left on the table. She forced herself to eat more. Michael who had stopped eating a long time ago, watched her as she swallowed the whole table. After which she smacked her lips together. A faint red mark was all over her lips. She tried to wipe it off with her tongue but Michael reminded her that there was a napkin on the table.
She insisted that she was aware but she didn't want the taste of that oil around her mouth to go to the napkin, she wanted it all to go to her mouth!
When they were done eating. Michael wanted to drive straight home but, Desi declined, saying that the night was still young.
Michael refused to succumb to her request. But after receiving a long whining from her, he gave in. They drove to a barbecue house. They both bought chicken barbecue and they ate it together while it was still hot. Desi ate hers fast while eyeing the one in Michael's hands.
As though he noticed what was going through her mind, he started eating his own a little faster than usual.
Desi took note of this and smiled in her mind.
You want to compete with me Michael Kingston? You are not even a player! With one move she grabbed the whole barbecue and pushed it into her mouth at once. She chewed them until they were nothing but particles in her mouth then she swallowed.
Before Michael could even register what was happening, his barbecue was snatched from his hands. At that very moment of his life. He bowed to Desiree Le grande.
"Master! Teach your most loyal student."
Desi laughed at Mike's words and posture.
"Arise my student, the first lesson you have tonight is to learn how to be generous to your master. Now student buy more Barbecue for your master, and you shall be initiated." She said.
Shameless! What kind of Master leeches off his students? Having thought these he still complied to his master's request.
" Your wish is my command."
