Chapter 48 - Imaginary world

CHAPTER FOURTY-EIGHT

The day was already ruined because she slept too much. She couldn't go to school. Not knowing what to do, she decided to call her favorite gardeners. They came over in no less than thirty minutes. Who wouldn't like to work in a place where they paid even more than the service rendered. When they got to the compound especially where her favorite trees were, they started reshaping the trees into the heart shape that could be barely recognized.

Michael watched in frustration as his trees completely turned feminine. In contrast to his stoic face, Desi was extremely happy. Her face beamed with joy.

Michael watched as she constantly jumped up and clapped her hands. She just looked like a little girl who was showered with candy.

"Go on, go on."

He could hear her motioning for them to continue. She constantly went in to get more drinks for those who were exhausted. Desiree might one day, donate his house for a charity and he would not even know. He imagined the scene playing out in his mind.

-IMAGINARY WORLD.

Imaginary Michael.

"Humphrey drive straight to Haven Gate residence, I want to get home and rest. This business trip was especially tiring."

Imaginary Humphrey.

"Yes boss."

They drove straight to their home and within a matter of minutes they were already there. But, the security guard in the gate was new. The house was redocorated in such a way that one would think that this was an elementary school or a children's home. What had Desiree Le grande done this time? Their car was stopped at the entrance. The security thoroughly questioned them and asked them to go back.

Out of frustration he dailed Desi's number but when Desi picked it up she hurriedly told him to go find a hotel and lodge there. This was because she had already given the house away to the less privileged. Michael fumed with rage but that was the much he could do.

Then he heard a chatter of from the front of the house. Then he saw Desi waving at the caretakers of the orphanage, after saying her goodbye. She walked in satisfaction out of the gate and also bade the gateman farewell. The imaginary Michael pulled her over and dragged her into his car.

"Desiree Le grande, where is my house?"

He looked at the fear stricken face of Desiree. She closed her eyes not willing to open it up. Michael sighed and asked her again.

"Where do you live?"

"I live in a self contained home."

"Where is it located?"

"At the street very close to that famous Bandana bakery"

After getting out the required information from Desiree, he quickly informed Humphrey to drive there. When they got to Desi's apartment, they both alighted from the car. Michael entered her tiny apartment, and requested for a shower. Out of guilt Desi obediently ran a bath for him.

Michael looked like a giant in the small bathroom. He took his time to take his bath, and by the time he came out, he saw a cute looking Desi kneeling in the bedroom with her oversized pajamas.

"I'm sorry, I was carried away by the compassion I felt for those children, and I decided to donate the house to them." She said immediately she noticed his presence.

"Dear Desiree Le grande, I don't have any problem with you giving out the house. We'll just have to live here and give birth to our children. I will also go to work from here."

Desi quickly shook her head in disapproval.

"You have so much money, you can buy ten mansions if you want to."

"No, I want to stay in your house, and if you decide to give out this one too, that's fine. We can sleep on the streets."

With that all said, he moved to the small wardrobe and started changing to his pajamas.

BACK TO THE PRESENT

Michael stepped back from the window and went to his study.

After a while he heard the sound of a car driving out. He guessed it must be Desi, but where was she going to?

-

She got a call from her mom saying that Whitey was sick. It was true that she had neglected her dogs.

She drove as far as she could to her mom's house. When she got there, indeed Whitey was looking pale. Dog Daphne who had turned to be a motherly figure for whitey was also restless. As soon as Desi's car drove into the building, the dog started barking. Desi felt bad for them both, she carried whitey into the car and dog Daphne followed too. She needed to run a body check on her too.

The doctor had also confirmed that the dog was feeling lonesome. It was only a matter of time before it died.

Dog Daphne also needed a special vaccine for a month. Desi felt bad for neglecting her dog.

She sat down on a seat outside the consulting office and cuddled whitey who seemed to be sleeping peacefully in her arms.

After paying for the service rendered, she left the hospital with a long face.
