"I WONT BE YOUR SLAVE. If you want a slave so badly go to Pearl Harbor, they'll have a fine selection for you, GOLDSTEIN!" Klaus sat at his desk chair, his leg propped up on the window sill. Those words echoed in his head on a loop. Pearl Harbor was a notorious black market. Operating out of Dermaterra. Rumors of slaves being bought and sold have been reported. That was all Klaus found out.
He was asleep when Areto came back. Getting the tea started, Areto looked at the desk. Homework, tests, and documents stacked up in neat piles, untouched. A book laid opened on it, the pages yellow with age. A illustration of figures standing around, with animals running around them. *Why is he reading a childs book?* Closing it I grabbed the paperwork. Hours passed, writing down grades and solutions. Putting them away Areto woke up Klaus. "Sleeping in a bed is more comfortable, Master." Standing up he went into the other room. The door slightly ajar, Areto saw him remove his tie and hang his head. Getting ready the last cup, Areto put some of the medicine he got today in it. "I did the paper work. It's already in the folders." Klaus nodded. Placing the cup on the end table, I kneeled to remove his vest and shirt. "Drink the tea Master. It will help." Klaus moved to pick it up. His hand was trembling. "Your warmer than last night. Must be getting a fever." Hanging the clothes on the changing screen, I got a cool rag. The tea was gone, Klaus took off his pants and shoes leaving just his under shorts. "How are you feeling?" Wrapping him in a blanket, "Not that you have eaten anything but sweets since this morning." I wiped Klaus's back, chest and face with the cloth. He shivered when it made contact. Klaus is well muscle with light chest hair. "Show me your breeders mark, Areto." Areto froze the cloth hitting the floor. Picking it up I hanged it on the rack. Removing my school uniform I kneelt in front of Klaus. Finally removing my shirt I let it land where it fell. Cold fingers caressed my back. Tracing the ink printed on my skin. "What do the flowers mean?" Holding in the urge to vomit Areto answered. "The carnation means I'm a breeder. The daisy's mean I had a successful season." As he listed the flowers Klaus traced them "The leaf means I was broken in before the season started."
"What can you tell me about your former master. Speak freely."
"I didn't meet my former master until the start of the season. Just his sons." Sensing it he continued. "Vega was nice. He was a friend. Onyx kept his distance. Their mother avoided everyone." The bed shifted, Klaus put Areto's shirt back up. "Get ready for bed, then sleep. I'm going to sleep. Good night." Blowing out the candle he got under the blankes. Areto removed the rest of his clothes, then turned in for the night. His mark felt like it was burning.
