The smell filled his nose. Toppling over he puked, falling to his knees he couldn't stop shaking. Salenne walked over to the bodies, examining them as she walked pass. Areto had tears in his eyes, glancing up he saw the student closest to him. Their skull was caved in completely, pieces of bone jutted out like trees from the ground. Vomiting again, Areto brought his hand to his mouth to try to gain control. °Stay close to me Areto. Ok.° Vega Kind, loving, Vega always curious. Seeking fairys in the woods. Trying to find a unicorn to make a wish like in the story's. Took care of me when Onyx wasn't gentle. The past echoed in his mind like a song on loop. 'Why did he have to die' The best came out of the shadows. °Areto. Run. Be free.° He said those words on a echoed voice bouncing off the hallway walls. Those long claws cut threw him like tissue paper.
Floating, Flying, falling. Screaming "-eto" Someone screaming. Blood. Blood. Blood. Blood. "Blood." "ARETO!!" Jumping, Areto prepared for pain. "Hey. It's me bud. Hear me. It's me. 'member me?" Coming out of his pass, Areto regained his senses. "Vega." It came out as a soundless whisper. "Elias." Choking on his name Areto repeated it, Elias pulled him into a hug. Rocking him back and fourth Elias rubbed his back doing little circles. "Come on bud, come with me." Picking Areto up from the ground, Elias lead him to the boys dorm. Students where being lead to their dorms. Prefects and teachers made sure that all students where inside before they locked the door. Elias took me to my old room, sitting me on a bed he kneeled down. "What happened, Areto?" Taking my hands in his he waited for my answer. I didn't know how to answer. Images from before kept racing in his mind. "Yo, princess." Luca walked in, taking in the scene he held back. "I told you not to call me that." Elias hissed. "What is it?"
"What happened?" Luca asked. Areto felt the urge to puke again. Elias explained what happened. The bodies found, the teachers, prefects, the headmaster and Ministry Wizards are securing the the grounds. "Holy Shit." Luca cursed under his breath. Turning his head back to Areto, Elias asked again. "What happened, Areto?" Opening his eyes, he saw Elias staring at him. "Salenne and I where t-talking... just walking d-d-down a hall, then she smelled it. The student's where just laying there. That's all they where doing." Tears rolled down Aretos' face, clasping a hand over his mouth he hunched over. Elias hugged him again, rubbing my back he sat next to me. Luca left. Time stood still want felt like an eternity never seeming to just fade away. At some point a blanket was wrapped around me. Coming back Luca said they are to not leave the dorms for the rest of the day.
*********
Salenne kneeled down examining the wounds of each student. She saw how Areto was reacting to the situation. "What his never seen a brain before?" PB said from the lamppost. Thankfully Areto didn't hear him, shaking her head she examined the marks. Five inches deep and six inches wide the marks went up closer to the wall. They shallowed out as they got closer. *That might not be the hole length of them* Salenne thought. The student that was in the middle of the carnage was nearly in three pieces. "PB. Go find Klaus." Coming to attention PB took a look at her. Rolling her eyes Salenne shifted. "Not for that reason. Now go." Taking flight PB flew off. More marks went down some steps, prepared Salenne followed the trail. Salenne followed the trail. It lead her to the yard where they played Cajun. Another student laid dead the upper tosso, bit cleanly through. The bones where jagged, broken off in two places. Following the last steps it took, they lead to a picnic. Notebooks, homework, and Grimoires laid on the blanket left open. PB came back from getting the others. "Ohh.. You don't look happy." PB said.
"I'm not." Salenne answered. She was brain storming, going through her knowledge of creatures when a flying piece of paper flew in her face. "Secret admirer." PB said, half a caterpillar hanging out if her mouth. "Hardly." Salenne answered.
Headmasters'office, not asking -Klaus
The school was in a uproar. Students where being lead by the teachers and prefects. "Why do we have have to be cramped in here. Cant we at least be outside." A student complain about being shoved into a nearby classroom. "She clearly never been shoved into a cage before." Holding in a laugh Salenne continued till she reached the headmaster office. "Nothing stopped it, all of our spells where useless against it." Slipping into the room Salenne saw Klaus standing next to the Headmasters' desk. *Like a good little pup.* I thought. "Something has to stop it" A male with vibrant red hair and eyes, who's appearance was disheveled. Like he put on the closet thing, and called it a look. "We tracked it down to the Western Forest. With all the enchantments and spirits their protecting it." A brown haired male spoke up. Bow and quiver at his side, fine craftsmanship. "If we lower them we can track it." brown hair said. "Then all of the other creatures and spirits will see that as a chance to get out. Half of the enchantments are centuries old, putting them back up will be tasking even for the most powerful." Headmaster countered. Leaning on the door frame Salenne just listened. "Can we contain it?" A light blue hair guy said. "No, last time we tried it got out shortly after." Headmaster countered again. "That is to be expected of a creature centuries old." Finally speaking up all heads turn to her. "Why are you here?" Red head asked. "My buddy wanted me here." I smiled at him. "Apologies, M'Lady. He isn't good at introduction. His name is Vincent and my name is Sigurd." Purple hair nearly black, with a charming smile Sigurd bowed at the waist as he introduced himself. "What do you know about the creature?" Klaus asked, nothing on his voice but boredom. "The creature is a Wendigo."
