Chapter 18 - THE PREY

Jax was completely oblivious to the happenings around him. Now, after receiving two round house kicks to his already aching head, Jax literally felt his brain shutting the outside world entirely for a few seconds.

He stood with his eyes closed shut while his hands clutched both sides of his head, injured or not.

He didn't make a sound when receiving those blows earlier, not because of his stubbornness but an entirely different kind of pain, which nullified every other physical pain, as this aching was purely psychological.

Jax gritted his teeth so hard to endure it, as a result not even a single sound could be heard from him, except his ragged breathing.

However, it was not like his tormentor would leave him alone just because he didn't respond to him. His opponent was a scatter brain, who would stop at nothing before he reached his goal.

Hank would find more ways to torture Jax than to let him go. And that was what happened in the next second.

The rougish man chose to humiliate Jax in a way which would be successful in breaking down any person, no matter how strong or arrogant he was.

And it went without saying that they would make sure that he was conscious enough to understand what was happening to him.

After all, an easy prey would never give the level of satisfaction for the predator, that he would get from subjugating the one that fought back.

Hank would enjoy subduing his opponent before enjoying his game.

And, this man had the same thought when he noticed that Jax didn't seem to understand the situation he was in.

Thus, he patted the young man cheeks in what seemed like gentle actions in his terms of doing things, trying to make the latter regain his focus.

And, when he got him to open his eyes, Hank turned the still dazed Jax to face one of his minions, using whom he intended to humiliate the poor young man.

"Hey Jax, look at who we have here," Hank chirped happily.

"Greet him Luke," he addressed the man wearing similar light blue prison clothes and eyeing him weirdly.

And Jax felt even more confused when the man named Luke winked at him meaningfully.

Luke looked like a grown man, as older as to be considered as Jax's father and was at least half a foot taller than him. He winked at the latter with an indescribable expression on his face, making Jax to feel a myriad of emotions...

However, for now, Jax couldn't grasp the situation clearly, until he heard Hank's next words.

"He is going to be your exclusive partner from now onward, who would make you scream 'willingly'," he added, his every single word screaming a hidden meaning.

And when Jax understood the meaning behind it, his eyes widened in disbelief from utter shock and disgust.

Meanwhile, Hank and his henchmen burst into peels of laughter, making the young man ball his hands into tight fists.

"How do you feel about this gift of mine to you, Jax? I along with our other friends here thought that it would be better for you to be more expressive. It was not a good thing to keeping everything to yourself." Hank continued taunting Jax after receiving the kind of response he had been waiting for.

"And, what could be more expressive than 'this'?" He added more oil to the fire by placing his hand in Luke's hand, who had been staring at Jax with lust filled eyes.

Jax felt like puking just at the mere thought of his insinuations. And his face paled, when Luke squeezed his hand suggestively.

"What is the meaning of your expression Jax?" Hank inquired, looking all smug and provocative. "Aaahhh! I got it now, you could thank me later. After a good live show of your 'expressivness'," Hank stressed the last word so much that it sounded beyond distasteful in Jax's ears.

He roughly pulled his right hand that was placed in the hand of the man named Luke away, and stepped back.

When Jax finally succeeded in distancing himself from Luke who wouldn't stop staring at him intently, as he created at least three steps of gap between him and the latter, he lifted his eyes, which were narrowed dangerously, to look at Hank as a warning to stop all of this.

However, it didn't yield the results Jax expected, as just after he stopped moving Luke came closing in on him in one long stride.

After which he grabbed both of Jax's hands and bent them backward while the latter tried to struggle to free himself from the unruly man's clutches. As if that wasn't enough, the man hugged Jax from behind like a lover would hold his partner.

"Boss, he looks so thin, but wasn't as fragile as I've expected him to be," Luke relayed his thoughts out loud for every one present to hear.

Sure enough, when they heard his remark, laughter and snickers filled the not so silent dark corridor.

"So, you think he can keep up with you?" asked the tattooed man, smiling excitedly.

"Without - a - doubt," replied the disgusting man shamelessly, he had to speak every word slowly as he had to concentrate on restraining the young lad trapped in his arms, and Jax wasn't helping him much in achieving that, as he kept struggling rather fiercely.

"Wait until he was back to prime of his health, he might turn the tables and conquer you instead," Hank joined the small party of mocking Jax. Humiliating Jax with both words and their actions.

On the other hand, Jax raised his hands as high as he could when the man's arms were around his upper arms, it felt difficult but not impossible.

Afterward, in one swift motion, he swung his elbows back with his palms pressed together and freed himself in the next second.

Seeing Jax who managed to get away all of a sudden, everyone were laughing and cheering for Luke to get back his prey.
