"Sir, the investigation has been finished." Secretary Wen gently spoke. His boss was once again emitting his standard imposing CEO aura today, as if his lifelong goal was to terrify everyone in the office.
Even when he just leisurely sat in his office chair, he would still resemble a resting lion, relaxed but utterly dangerous, yet Secretary Wen couldn't help but feel that the boss seemed to be in a good mood today?
Leng Youyuan unhurriedly responded to the Secretary,"Thanks, you can leave it on my desk."
Secretary Wen swiftly moved to place the files onto his bosses desk while feeling that something peculiar must have happened, since the only times he'd heard the boss say things like "thank you" were after he'd closed large deals. Suddenly a thought flashed across the Secretary's mind as he moved to exit the office, his boss's good mood was likely because of the future madam!
Unaware of his Secretary's thoughts Leng Youyuan opened the case files and began to quickly scan information. Inside there was some new information here and there, but it wasn't particularly shocking. The only thing that had truly caught his attention was the sentence at the bottom of the page that identified the orchestrator.
In bold print it spelled out the name "Fang Hua"... his cousin.
The Leng family had always been a family that had hands in both the dark underworld, and white world of business, but when Leng Youyuan's grandfather had taken over he made the decision to fully step onto the path of businessmen, and leave the underworld behind.
Fang Hua was a smart and promising young lady who was an expert with people, and was declared to be the family head at the young age of 17. But she didn't exactly want to cut off the underworld, instead she used the lingering connections of the family to dabble in the underworld.
Though she was eventually found out by the old man, and since his sister had no intention to become the head that title was passed to him. And Fang Hua had disappeared abroad the last he'd heard, but it seemed like she was back and with a vengeance.
A deep sigh escaped from him as he stood up to walk to the office's floor to ceiling windows. With a deep gaze he studied the tall buildings, and the bustling city below, but he couldn't escape the ominous premonition welling up in his heart.
"Cousin, what are you planning?"
