"Hello Kia" a familiar voice said as Kia opened up his eyes. When they opened, he found himself on a bench in the middle of a gorgeous bountiful garden and to his side he saw the winged woman who told him she was his mother. "It's great to see you again Kia I've been watching your adventures." Kia's mother, Hibika said as she turned to stare at the sea of flowers.
"I'm back? I didn't even remember falling asleep all I could really remember is reading the grimoire while Lea slept on the bed." Kia stood up and stretched as if he was sleeping on the bench the whole time.
"So, you are sleeping with the elf? You sure move fast." Hibika said with a slight laugh.
"Yeah she wants me I can tell." Kia said with a cocky attitude as he moved to stand next to Hibika.
"So, you have started to learn about your ability to use light magic?" Hibika asked.
"Yeah but it's kind of strange that I don't need to call for the power to use it and it didn't even matter the sun went down." Kia said looking confused.
"It is because of who your parents are. You are so close to the spirits that just having a portion of their power put into your soul that once your soul notices it then it will start to produce the power itself." Hibika said with a big grin.
"So, if I were to have a spirit put their power into my soul then I will gain their power and can control it as if it were my own?" Kia said in amazement as he began to stare at his hand.
"Correct however since it will be new then you shouldn't try to take too much at once for example don't get the powers from a fire elemental and a water elemental at the same time before mastering one of the two. If you don't master them one at a time then the spirit's powers will start to reject you and go crazy so you should be very careful."
"So, taking a guess you won't tell me who my father is still?" Kia said looking up to his mother.
"You got that right." Hibika said with a smile. She then walked down the brick walkway to a bird bath in the middle of six different rose bushes each different colors: red, blue, yellow, green, tan color and black. "Each bush represents a different elemental spirit type."
"What about the bird bath?" Kia said walking on the other side of it looking at the water inside.
"This bird bath lets me watch over you. I got to see your battle and how you handled that one girl on the couch." Kia's mother said smirking at Kia as she moved her hands over the water. The water then began to ripple and slowly started to show an image of Tarken.
"That's awesome but now I have another question." Kia said looking from the water to his mother. "Will you teach me how to use light magic spells from the grimoire?"
Hibika grew a little smirk and looked to Kia and said "Of course, I will teach you the spells. The one thing you do have to promise only use the magic I teach you to deal with enemies not innocent people."
"I promise I will use it only to help me with my quests." Kia said grinning.
"Then let us get started." Kia and his mother began down the trail to an open field on the outside of the garden the field had several targets set up as if she was planning on Kia to ask the question when he showed up. The two spent what felt like hours practicing spells that were in the grimoire that Kia has already read. By the time they were done Kia had only learned two new spells. "Looks like it's time for you to go." Hibika said smiling to Kia who was covered in dust and scratches.
Kia looked to his mother and said "Thank you for all the help you have given me"
"Of course, do be careful however all this is just the beginning of your adventures."
At that moment Kia disappeared leaving his mother in the field. "Another visit from your son?" Yumi said flying to her.
"Yes, I wanted to see how much power he holds with him. I think he is ready to use your weapon in all honesty so be ready for it he may need you sooner than expected."
"Sounds good to me. While you were training, I just got done putting some of my power into his soul as well." Yumi said flying to Hibika's side with a smile.
"Kia has a lot of obstacles coming up. Hopefully he is ready and makes the right call." Hibika said right before her and Yumi both disappeared into the wind leaving the field open and empty.
