"Kia where did that come from and how did you know the spirit's name?" Lea asked after making her way to where Kia was standing with Elex's body.
"It's a long story." Kia looked to his hands that were holding the axe. As he stood there staring at it the axe fell apart into pieces leaving only the medallion in Kia's hand. "Are all the medallions like this one?"
"Yes, they are but each one can hold different spirits. You could get minor spirits but their abilities are almost nothing compared to the elemental spirits." Maria said as she and Dante made their way from the other side of the room.
"Wait Maria what was the magic you were using?" Kia asked questioningly.
"Oh, good question. Well an average sorcerer practices minor elemental magic but no matter what they always avoided the dark category. Since I use void magic it falls into the dark magic category which is kind of like dark magic but to sorcerers that is still too much, but that makes me a sort of witch. As for Dante he practices dark magic which puts him under the category of warlock." Maria said smiling. "Enough of us how did you use a medallion like you have done it your whole life and more importantly what was with your eyes." Maria said looking suspiciously at Kia.
"Well when he sent me back, I saw myself in a weird place with the earth spirit we talked and next thing I knew it was like I knew everything about the power and the weapon." Kia said with his hands up.
At that moment Dante and Lea's eyes opened in surprise and wondered "You mean you…" They began to say.
"Kia sir." A gentle voice said behind Kia.
Kia turned to see the other two cloaked figures that were traveling with the demon general on one knee with their heads bowed to Kia. "Uh? Hello? How can I help you?"
"You defeated our master so we know we belong to you our new master." A more mature but still feminine voice said coming from the second cloaked figure.
"I'm sorry but I'm not that kind of guy I don't agree with the idea of having slaves." Kia said with an embarrassed smile.
The gentle voice came back and said "Please, we have been slaving our whole lives. Our tribe was slaughtered we wouldn't make it far alone."
Kia looked down to notice the gentle voiced figure had bird like feet. After a few moments of silence Kia took a deep breath and said "fine but please stop with the kneeling and take your cloaks off and introduce yourselves."
The two figures removed their cloaks and as Kia thought they were both the demi humans the mayor was talking about. The one with the more mature voice had a leopard like tail and leopard ears on her head. She had yellow hair and narrow green eyes. The second figure with the bird like legs then removed her cloak revealing a younger looking girl with blue hair and Blue feathered wings spread out from behind her sprawling to get stretched out from being tucked away for so long. The Bird like a demi human then looked up to Kia and with the gentle voice she had said. "My name is Tatsuta and this is Cecaco."
Kia looked at both of them and thought so Tatsuta is a raven and Cecaco is a leopard. Kia then grinned and said "Well you two can come with us till you feel comfortable with going off on your own."
The two of them then both took another knee and said "We will not let you down master."
As the Lea and Maria began to look at Kia with piercing glares Kia gave off a small embarrassing laugh and then notice Cecaco's ears start moving around and her head pop upward. "What is it?" Kia asked.
Cecaco looked to the leader's tent and pointed to it and said "Someone is still in there."
Lea and Maria then looked at each other and both said "The vampire then ran to the tent."
Kia and Dante then looked at each other with questioning looks before running off after them. They ran up the stairs into the tent to see a vampire sitting on the floor with a chain connecting her ankle to a big wooden pole in the middle of the room. She looked up to them and said with a soothing voice "Hello are you here to help me or have your way with me?" she said looking a little frightened.
Lea ran to her and began to unlock the chain with a key she found off on a dresser in the corner of the room. As she unlocked the chain Lea said "we are here to help you not harm you don't you worry we will keep you safe." Lea finished opening the chain then looked to the vampire and smiled.
Dante looked at her and said "What is your name vampire?"
The vampire looked to Dante and with a small smile said "My name is Valerie and who are all of you."
Lea explained to her who they were and why they were there as they walked out of the tent and began their way out of the sewers. "So, Dante and Maria where are you guys going now that Black Talon is gone?" Lea asked looking at the two.
"We don't know yet we usually just go where we are needed. We may end up going to the capital now that I think about it there are some things we need to do there." Maria replied.
"What about her what should we do with her?" Dante said looking at Valerie.
"You saved my life sir Kia I am in your debt and wish to stay by your side in response." Valerie said bowing to him.
Kia gave off another embarrassed laugh and said "Well the more the merrier I guess."
"Well let's head off to the mayor let him know the good news shall we." Maria jumped in with a smile.
Everyone agreed and they all went off back to Tarken's guild hall. As they showed up all the other adventurers began to give them strange looks mainly due to the people who had joined up with them. "Hey Valerie, Tatsuta and Cecaco head to the room and wait for us their we need to meet with the mayor and please do not call any unneeded attention to yourselves." Kia said handing them the key to their room and telling them which room it was. After the three of them went off to room Kia looked to the rest of the group and said "come on let's go see the mayor." The then went off to the mayor's office.
When they got to the big hallway, they saw the mayor's assistant waiting in the hallway. "Hello Valkyrie is the mayor able to see us yet?" Lea said to the assistant.
"Of course, he is in his office I will take you there now." She replied as she turned to where the mayor's office was located. As they walked to the door Kia seemed more distant then he usually does. Lea noticed but felt it was smart to keep it to herself and not try to push anything out of Kia at the moment. "Here we are" Valkyrie said as she opened the door for the four of them to get through. As everyone went into the room and up to Mr. Knightly the assistant closed the door behind them to give them more privacy.
"Hello everyone! So, I'm guessing the mission was a success?" Mr. Knightly said as he grinned and leaned back into his chair.
"Yes, it was sir all the remaining creatures were killed and the remaining criminals have already been taken by the police." Dante replied.
"What about the demon general and his servants?" Mr. Knightly added.
"The demon lord killed himself before we could get any answers about why they are doing this." Kia replied slightly irritated because of not getting any answers like he was hoping to get.
"Well that is truly sad and very upsetting, but we can't change that now all we really can do is move on." Mr. Knightly concluded as he turned around to face outside the window that overlooked the main road. "I wish to thank you all for your help and I will have Valkyrie pay you all on your way out." They all thanked him and then began to turn back to the door until they heard Mr. Knightly add "Lea I understand that you just got done doing several things for your kingdom and wish to go home, but your father has sent a message. It says he needs you to go to the capital and since Dante and Maria probably have nothing else going on, I think they should go with you." Knightly said, turning around to face them.
"Thank you, sir, but does it say why he needs me to go to the capital?" Lea asked curiously.
Mr. Knightly grinned then said "It does not but that is probably what the king will tell you when you see him." As soon as they heard his say king, they all looked slightly shocked and curious on why the king needed them. "You should all rest for the night I have a much bigger room ready for you all and for your new guests you took in."
"Wait how did you know we have more?" Kia said curiously.
Knightly put off a slight laugh and said "You didn't answer my question on the servants and you really think I wouldn't hear about things going on in my town you need to give me a little more credit." Knightly said with a smile on his face. "now get going here are your new keys they are for the suite." Knightly tossed them two keys each for the same room.
The four of them took the two keys and began their way out of the office collecting their pay from Mr. Knightley's assistant. As they went to Kia's and Lea's old room to pick up the other three girls that were waiting in their Lea and Maria were making plans on how they will be getting to the capital. "I think we should just travel together." Lea said, looking at Maria.
"If that isn't a bother and if you have room, we would really appreciate it and we also have a very detailed map for the route so we can get there as soon as possible." Maria replied with a big smile.
"We will need to stop by Helsing on the way there. I have something I need to pick up." Kia said as they made their way down the hall the room was located on.
As they approached the room Kia grabbed the doorknob and opened the door to see the three girls sitting there waiting. As they turned and noticed Kia all three of them said "Hello master" with big smiles of joy.
"Well I'm out let go to the new room Maria." Dante said as he and Maria continued down the hall to the suite.
"Okay listen none of you need to call me master okay." Kia said giving off another one of his embarrassed laughs. "We got a new room so let's get ready and head to it tomorrow we are heading to the capital and that won't be a very pleasant drive." Kia and Lea grabbed their things and went off to the suite where they met up with Dante and Maria waiting on a couch that was stationed in the middle of a big room. To one side was a room with two beds and to the other was another room with four beds. In the middle of it all was two couches facing each other with a coffee table in the middle. "So, I guess Dante and I will get the room on the left and the girls get the room on the right." Kia said looking back and forth at the two rooms.
"There are five of us girls though" Lea said slightly confused.
"It's fine me and Cecaco can share a bed it's no big deal since we don't really get to sleep in beds very often." Tatsuta said with a really big grin on her face.
After they all came to an agreement, they went into their rooms to get some rest from the long day they had. As the suite got quite Kia began to stir in his sleep. He began twisting and turning in his bed until he finally opened his eyes to see Cecaco and Tatsuta sitting on the bed looking at him with lustful stares. "Can I help you?" Kia said confused and red.
"Is there anything we can do for you master?" Cecaco said with a grin as she leaned in to Kia getting extremely close to him.
"No, I'm fine." Kia said with a small chuckle and a forced smile. "You two can go back to bed."
Tatsuta grabbed Kia from the back and whispered "It's alright master I may look young but it's how my people are I'm actually 19."
"Wait really? I mean no we have a long trip and what about Dante…" At that moment Kia looked to Dante where he was laying there glaring at all three of them. "Oh, hello Dante did we wake you."
Dante kept an ice-cold glare and then said "I wish I would have died in those sewers."
Kia gave off a cheerful laugh and said "You won't tell anyone about this right?" Dante laid there with his eyes closed making a slight snore. "DANTE!" Kia said in a panic manner. Kia took a deep breath and looked to Cecaco and Tatsuta. He then with a calm voice said "You two don't need to pretend to be my slaves you have a choice in what you want to do now okay. So, please don't feel obligated to do anything for me when you don't want to. You two should go back to bed though it's getting late."
"We understand we will see you in the morning then master." Cecaco said as they both lowered their heads.
Kia gave off a slight grin and thought Do you really understand? He waved to them as they left the room back to their own. Kia then let out a breath of relief and then looked to Dante "Dante? Please don't do it. I don't want to die tomorrow." He then laid back down and drifted off to sleep.
"Morning everyone!" Lea said as she and Maria brought out food for the group that they spent all morning making. "Here you all go we should hit the road quick if we want to make it to Helsing before night fall."
They all sat around the table and ate the meal that was prepared for them as they packed up the last things Maria looked to Dante and said "Dante do you really need to give off such a harsh attitude I mean you should…"
Before she could finish Dante said "I saw Cecaco and Tatsuta in Kia's bed last night." He then stood up grabbed his stuffed and walked out.
"Dante you asshole." Kia said feeling the piercing stares from Lea, Maria and Valeria.
"Care to explain?" They all asked him.
"Wait why are you mad Valeria?" Kia asked defensively.
"You didn't invite me and that's just rude." Valeria said slightly showing her fangs.
Kia explained to them how it was all a misunderstanding and that nothing happened last night they just ended up talking. The girls let out a breath and apologized for overreacting with him. As they finished packing up, they met up with Dante, Cecaco and Tatsuta in the stables at the wagon that Kia left there when he first showed up. "Off to Helsing lets go and get our next adventure started." Kia said. As they left Tarken all Kia could think the whole trip was of a long box that He had hidden in Helsing and if it was still okay and if his mentor would want him to take it now.
