It was almost midnight. Lea and Maria were standing near the entrance of the sewer with cloaks and dirt all over their faces. "This plan is so stupid." Lea said looking down at herself and what she was wearing.
"You're telling me it's probably because the guys thought about it and they just love saving damsels in distress." Maria said, shaking her head in discussion. "We may as well put on a good show though and then we can find a way to get back at them."
"You got that right." Lea responded with a grin on her face and a small laugh. There was a little silence till Lea jumped in "Maria?".
"Yes?" Maria responded.
"Who are you and Dante really I understand you two are siblings but why aren't either of you with the sorcerers league I mean you two seem very powerful." Lea said curiously.
"All I can really say is we can't go back there anytime soon but the main story Dante will have to explain someday maybe. However, I don't care about that I mean I have Dante and that's all I need." Maria said looking into the starry sky. "Now for my question" she said with a devilish smile "What are your thoughts on Kia?"
At that moment Lea's face turned bright red and she had trouble responding "I... I... I mean he is nice and all but he is you know not my type." She then looked to the sky away from Maria trying to hide her face.
"That's good cause I think I could grow to like him a lot and maybe I could get closer to him." She said glaring to Lea with a smirk.
"No wait…" Lea began to talk but was cut off with a hand to her.
"Wait I think he is coming look seems like they are all three wearing cloaks." Maria said getting lower with Lea.
They both saw 3 cloaked figures one in front of a big flat wagon with a big container that had a tarp over it being pulled by fully armoured horses and two other cloaked figures one on each side.
"Your right we better get in position for the plan." Lea said after collecting herself and getting serious.
The two ladies both snuck near the entrance of the sewers and laid down as if they were beaten and left to die. The cloaked general walked up to them and with his face unable to be seen leaned into and looked at Lea and Maria after a few minutes he stood back up and held his hand out to them. With a deep and strong voice, he said, "Take my hand and become my property you have nothing else to live for." His hand had multiple scales folding over one another from his fingertips up his arm. The girls looked up to him with tired dead stares, took his hand and got to their feet. The general then said "Go to the other two spare meat piles and follow." The demon then walked in entering the sewers with the wagon and two other cloaked figures followed right behind him. Lea and Maria followed behind.
They all walked down the sewers making random twists and turns until they came to what looked like a dead end. The wall blocking their path seemed to be a plain wall and had no openings. However, the general walked up to it and without any hesitation walked through the wall as if there was nothing there. After he went through the others then followed. When Lea and Maria got to the wall, they noticed that it was an illusion being held by a stone from somewhere else in the sewers. As they continued, they heard a voice around the corner "Who are these new people you are bringing."
The general walked to the corner and said "none of your business now get out of our way and let us through."
"Fine." The man said and then joined the general's side and began around the corner.
When Lea and Maria turned the corner, they saw tents lined up in an open area with one big tent in the middle with the Black Talon logo hanging above it. They also noticed several containers holding other ether monsters and serpents inside them. "Is this the new one?" A lady said walking out of the big tent with another lady behind her. The first lady had long black hair on her right side the other side had been cut short. She also had two holes on her neck left by a vampire. She had a silver sword around her waist and leather gloves on her hands. The vampire behind her had white hair and red eyes. She still had some blood in the corner of her mouth showing she was just eating. She was in a slim red dress with red heels on. "Those two new people why did you bring them?"
"None of your business now take your treat." The general said having the wagon move forward.
At that moment the vampire looked at Maria and Lea and then looked above them. She gave off a slight smirk and walked into the tent but before she went in all the way she looked to them and mouthed the words "help me" she then continued in.
Lea and Maria then saw the cover on the container fly off inside and showed a queen serpent. The serpent was large with rocky blades at the back of her head and thick rocky scales running down her body to the tip of her razor-sharp tail. "This will be perfect for the mayors meeting tomorrow." The leader was saying with a big smile. "Isn't it just a scary looking monster?" She said speaking to the general.
"It looks better than you humans ever do or ever will." The general said as he began to get ready to leave.
Before the general could get too far a man ran by him going to the leader getting his attention. The man whispered something into the leader's ear causing her smile to disappear. She then looked to Maria and Lea and said "You know demon general these two and two others had a meeting with the mayor earlier this afternoon."
At that moment the general looked to Lea and Maria so did everyone one else in the area. People began to leave their tents with weapons surrounding the two with blood lust in their eyes. "Well I guess it's time to get this party started. What do you think of Lea?" Maria asked with a smirk.
"Let's do it." Lea said smiling.
Maria reached into her pocket and held a piece of paper with a magic circle written on it. She then began to speak "With my brother on the other end of this spell bring him forth. With our blood bond binding us I use our blood to bring us together once more." The circle began to turn red with a dark circle forming on the ground in front of it. The circle then began to get bigger the more the spell turned red. As soon as the spell was fully red Dante and Kia began to rise from the black circle on the ground just as the mayor was planning from the beginning.
"You ladies need some help?" Kia said with a smug look as he brought out his old worn out dagger. "You ready to show me what you got Dante?"
Dante looked at Kia with a small hint of a smile and said "I have some problems I would like to have sorted out with Black Talon so yeah I am ready." Dante turned to a group of criminals with his right arm raised with his palm facing up. He then began a magic chant "With darkness over me I wish to use your power as if it were my own." His hand began to get a dark ball forming with what looked like small sparks of black lightning on it. "I wish for you to bring the darkness out and have it fill my enemy's soul." The one eye you could see of Dante's began to grow black and dark. With the final words he spoke "dark bolt" a string of black lightning shot from his hand to the group of criminals making an explosion throwing them all over.
To his side stood his sister with both arms raised she called upon her power "The spirit of void give me your strength and send my enemies away." At that moment purple strings of light went from her feet twirling around her until they wrapped around her arms. She then looked to the group she was facing and a purple orb began to form over her. With a small grin on her face she said "black void". She then threw the orb colliding with the people and blowing up.
From the distance Lea had already called for her light magic and was using javelin of light to take out one enemy at a time. During this time Kia was looking for the leader in hopes of ending this. "Where did your guys leader go? Is she not interested in me?" Kia said with a cocky attitude.
"I'm right here young man" Kia then turned around to see she had cut him off from his friends to prevent them from helping him out. "Please, call me Lora." She said pulling out her sword ready to fight Kia in a 1v1.
Kia then smirked and pulled his dagger in his hand getting ready for the first strike. They stood there looking at how each other stood figuring out their best way to attack. Then Lora dashed forward with incredible speed aiming for Kia's chest. He barely moved to the side only slightly getting cut on the side. "You're quick" he said looking at his cut. After inspecting it for a bit he looked back to her and noticed she was ready to take a second shot at him. This time instead of waiting for her to strike Kia noticed her elbow slightly move up showing she was getting ready to lung once again. After noticing that Kia lunged first giving her a slight surprise.
She still moved too quickly for Kia to land a hit. "Nice try but I am a little too fast for you." She said as she got ready to stab Kia in the side as he recollected himself after missing.
The thing she didn't notice was before she started her lung to him to stab his side he smiled and said "protection of light". She then started her lung and Kia didn't make any movements. The blade drew closer to him and before it could connect it hit a spot of light magic an inch away. Then she heard Kia say "blinding light" the next thing Lora knew was a bright flash occurred and Kia stabbed his dagger in her chest with the intent to kill her.
She dropped to the floor lying in a puddle of blood. Kia then began to leave to help his team with the other enemies that were scattered around the sewers. As he got 10 feet away, he stopped to hear a laugh coming from behind him. He then slowly turned around to see Lora still lying there but then her face turned to him with red eyes and, Sayed "I was ready for the mayor to start a fight that is why I had a vampire turn me into a vampire." Next thing Kia noticed was that she became a blur and he noticed that she disappeared. He looked around to find her but as soon as he turned around, she drew her sword and slashed the arm that was holding the dagger leaving a deep wound. "You can't beat a vampire" Lora said, kicking him across the room. Kia hit the ground rolling fifty feet away. He laid there motionless as if a dead body. At that moment Lora decided to kneel next to him and grabbed his head and shoulder pulling his neck close to her. "I heard that for the vampire species drinking someone's blood gives both a very sexual feeling. I wouldn't know that since I haven't drunk someone's blood not yet anyways." She then pulled his neck closer and took a big sniff smelling his flowing blood. "Happy to tell you that you'll be my first so I will try to be gentle." She then opened her mouth wide and slowly pulled his neck even closer but before she could sink her teeth in, she heard.
"I guess you will be dying a blood virgin then." She then looked to see Kia's hand was on her chest and Kia said with a grin "pulsing light". Kia's hand had pulsing rings form around his wrist and it sent out a massive pulse sending Lora into the air and crashing into the cage with the queen serpent.
"How dare you!" Lora said as she stood back up. There was steam flowing from her body. "Why am I smoking?"
"So, you became a vampire not knowing the drawbacks? Well let me educate you the light is deadly to vampires." Kia said, raising his hand. He looked around to quickly see how everyone else was fairing. Dante was dealing with people near the main tent using dark magic. Maria was dealing with the criminals near the cloaked figures trying to get to them. Then Lea was preventing people from leaving the area. "Looks like everyone is fine. Now I can finish you off." Kia then looked to Lora opening the door to the queen serpent.
"Once she gets out the other monsters will go berserk."
"That's suicide they will kill all of you as well." Kia said trying to stop her.
"That's what you think since I am a vampire, I can control them." At that moment the cage became undone and the queen bolted out breaking all the other cages and then going back to the cage it was at before. "Listen all you beasts I am your commander kill these intruders I command it." Lora then began to laugh thinking she had won.
"You really don't know anything about vampires. Only pure bloods have the ability to command monsters." Kia said grouping up with Lea, Dante, and Maria.
"What?" Lora said as the queen speared her through the back with her tail bringing her to the air. "Stop now I command it." Lora saw how all the monsters were slaughtering all of her troops one by one. As the monsters took more of her troops out the queen moved Lora so they would face another. They stared into each other the serpent could see Lora's fear and Lora could see the joy the queen had. Next thing the queen threw Lora into the air and in an instant the queen lunged up and ate Lora out of the air.
"This isn't good." Maria said looking at the monsters as they began to circle them avoiding the demon general and the other cloaked figures. "What is the plan?"
"Kia do you know any good magic spells to take this queen out." Dante asked getting ready for any of them to attack.
"I might be able to but I need someone to distract her while I get it ready." Kia said, looking at the three of them. I can use the spell that my mom taught me last night.
"Okay then me and Maria will deal with the other monsters while Dante distracts the queen. Just make sure you hurry Kia." Lea said getting her dagger ready.
"Sounds good. You ready Dante?" Kia said, looking at Dante.
"This thing just ate a thot whole I was always ready." Dante grinned and then shouted. "Dark bolt" and a black lighting bolt shot from his hand striking the queen in the face throwing its head back. During that time Dante grabbed a sacred dagger out of the inside of his cloak and jumped digging the dagger into the queen's side.
During this time Kia closed his eyes and began to chant his spell "With the sun on my side I control the light." His body began to have strings of light slither around his body as he continued.
"Let's dance then." Maria said charging to a hoard of ether monsters. "Dark pit" as she chanted her spell an opening appeared under three of the monsters dragging them down and slowly trapping them in a void.
"Guess it's time for me to start." Lea charged to the serpents that had escaped and enchanted two spells first "blinding light" the serpents became blind unable to fight. She ran to them with her dagger drawn and she yell the second spell "light of piercing blade" her dagger began to glow as if it was light itself and she dug it into one of the serpents chest and then jumping past the second one she made a swift move with her dagger and cut the serpent's head off.
"Hurry up Kia I think she doesn't like me very much." Dante said as he climbed to the top of the queen's head stabbed an opening between her eye and her eye socket. The queen began to scream as Dante dug the dagger in farther causing even more pain to the monster. "Kia hurry I'm losing my grip." The dagger flew out of Dante's hand flying to the ground as a quick response Dante put both his hands on the top of the serpent's head and said. "Haunting nightmare" his hand then glowed back and caused major pain and damage to the serpent's mind. Dante then looked to Kia and yelled "KIA COME ON!".
Kia was still doing his chant "May the lights of the shining palace shine on you." Kia raised his right hand "let the light shine on my enemies." Kia then opened his eyes and they were shinning with pure light and the strings of light began to wrap around his arm to the palm of his hand building up into a condensed ball. "As a pure light spirit, I shall shine through all the darkness in my path. Now let everything be cleansed." A small piece of light floated from Kia to the queen and as soon as the light touched the queen she began to scream in complete pain. The light broke apart and sent out the strings of light that were condensed together. The lights began to entangle the queen burning through the rock like skin as if it was paper.
Dante jumped off the queen to rejoin Kia and the others after they had finished off the other monsters. This power isn't human. Dante thought as he looked at Kia. The light by the time took over the queen's body and began condensing again crushing and burning the queen until it was only a spec of light and slowly floated to the ground.
"That was impressive. Who are you young man or should I say what are you?" The cloaked general had walked up to where the queen was and stared at the four of them still not showing what he really looked like. "Answer me before I run out of patience."
"The name is Kia and don't bother telling me your name Elex" Kia said with a glare.
"You do know my name then. Okay then answer me this. Who are your parents?" Elex l said sounding more interested.
"I never met my parents in person." Kia looked more annoyed after all these questions. "What now explain to me why a demon general supplying criminals with monsters?"
"That is none of your business sunny." Elex said with a humour in his voice.
Maria stepped forward in front of Kia and said "Then we will beat it out of you." At that moment everyone but Kia lunged at him with weapons drawn.
"Do you really think you can do anything?" At that moment the cloak on the general dropped showing a man that looked like he was wearing a blue suit of armour that a beetle would have. His armour was like layers of metal plating overlapping each other. His head had a flat top that shot backwards. Could easily be used to ram into things and destroy even a stone wall. As the others began to circle him Kia noticed he had two tails. Each had the same armour-plated scales but smaller going down the shafts of them. At the end of each of them had three razor sharp talons that would look like the claw on a bird but a lot sharper and reinforced. "Let's dance then." Elex said with a big grin on his face.
"Guys stop!" Kia said hoping he had time. It was already too late however. Lea ran up to him with a light javelin ready to fire. She moved in close and chanted her spell as it flew to Elex. He reached his hand out grabbing the shaft of the projectile and crushed it in one swift motion. Then in little then a second, he grabbed Lea and ran to the other side of Maria smashing the two together then he moved back to where he was originally. By the time he got back Dante was already in the air with his dagger drawn. By the time the blade could hit the general his tale grabbed the dagger by the blade and moved it away from him sending Dante to the ground in front of the general.
"Come on boy I can see the desire to kill in your eye or maybe it's because you are too weak" The general said looking down at Dante.
"Shut up you monster." Dante said charging upward in hopes of digging the dagger into his throat. Before he could even get close however the general had one tail block another hit and the other hit him in the gut. The general stood there with his arms behind his back unamused. As Dante got back in his stance getting ready to go for another hit Lea and Maria ran at him from behind while Lea went to stab him in the side Maria called for a void pit. Right as they made their attack Dante went to stab him in the chest. Before Elex reacted all, you could see a slight smirk and He had his tails wined together and smashed into Lea's side sending her across the room. He then grabbed Dante's arm and threw him into his sister throwing them to the wall leaving a crater in the wall. As for the void pit all Elex did was stop on the circle forming under him and it shattered.
"Looks like your pathetic friends aren't that tough maybe you will actually put up a fight." Elex said looking back to Kia with an entertained look. Kia began to chant the same spell he used on the queen, but before he even got half way the general appeared before him and grabbed him by his throat. "That little spell won't do anything to me." Elex then threw him across the room landing next to Lea.
"Kia you can still beat him." A familiar voice said coming from the side of Kia. He looked to see the medallion had slipped out of Lea's pocket slightly and it was glowing and Kia figured out it was Yumi's voice he heard. "Grab my medallion. I've given you my power so you will be able to use my abilities."
Kia looked to see the general slowly walking to him with his tails broken apart again and ready to kill Kia and Lea as soon as he got there. "What do I need to do Yumi?" Kia said still in pain.
"Grab my medallion and say what I tell you then the rest will come to you naturally." Yumi said with a calm confident voice.
Kia grabbed the medallion and began to stand up with the medallion in his right had he looked at Elex with fury stopping the general in curiosity. "What now boy? How about this I will give you one free hit better make it count." Elex said with a cocky attitude.
"Yumi I call upon the contract that was forged on this medallion." The medallion then began to glow in Kia's hand confusing Elex. "Let me use your power as if it was mine. Bless me with the weapon that can shake the earth." At that moment rocks began to fly off the ground into the now blinding light that was coming from Kia's right hand. "May the weapon I bless control the ground and trees." A string of roots shot from the ceiling trailing into the light at the same time the rocks were still flying into. The light then got brighter and brighter as Kia said with full power "I use the weapon that is blessed to me by Yumi the spirit of earth." The light had then vanished. In Kia's hand was now a stone/metal axe with a wooden handle. The roots stretch all over the axe other then the edged part. In the axe was tracings that looked very ancient spells and enchantments no mortal could make. In the middle of the stone/metal axe was the medallion infused into it.
Everyone looked at the weapon in shock not knowing how they should react to it. "Well fuck. This has just gotten even more interesting now maybe I will have a bit more fun." Elex said with a smile and getting ready to charge.
"As long as you have this weapon you will have all my power and the power the earth has." Yumi said speaking to Kia through the axe.
"That sounds good to me thank you Yumi." Kia grew a smile. He grabbed the axe with both hands and charged at Elex.
"LET US SHAKE THE EARTH BOY!" Elex shouted charging to Kia with his claw like hands and tails targeting Kia.
The two of them then clashed together as they impacted Elex was pushed back slightly due to the impact while he blocked using all his limbs. Why did he seem so much slower? Kia wondered as they stood their locking blows.
"It is because you're commanding the earth spirit you know everything going on that is on the ground." Yumi said speaking through Kia's mind.
Kia pushed with all his might shoving Elex backwards. "You are not wise to be underground right now." Kia said slamming the axe into the ground. As the axe pierced the ground the ground, walls and ceiling began to shake. Pillars then shot from all directions targeting Elex in hopes of at least crushing him and hurting him.
"This really is fun now." Elex said laughing "Come on, let's see how you do use your abilities while trying to block my blows." Elex lunged to Kia and attacked him with his tails tangled together to increase the force.
Kia blocked with the axe but was slightly pushed back because he wasn't completely prepared. As Kia was being pushed down by the demon, he noticed the demon's tail began to prep and get ready to hit him. As the tail twirled together it charged to his side. In an attempt to evade it he moved backward but that was what the general wanted. The tail changed directions and nailed him in the gut throwing him back.
After Kia hit the wall he passed out and found himself in the garden but instead of him seeing his mother he was staring at Yumi. "What happened?" he asked her.
"You aren't listening to the earth and got your butt kicked." Yumi said flying over to the green rose bed.
"What do you mean?" Kia asked confused.
"The weapon is connected to the element the spirit medallion has. To use it properly you are to listen to that element since you have my weapon you need to listen to the earth." Yumi said, still looking at the green roses.
"Tell me how I can listen to the earth so I can protect everyone and beat that monster." Kia said bowing to Yumi.
Yumi turned looking to Kia and with a smile said "You really are Hibika's kid." She then let out a little laugh and flew to Kia. "Kia picture the earth under your feet. The land you feed off of. The trees that shade your trails. Then let those pictures guide your movement. Feel the earth and everything around you then put that feeling into your battle. You have power that I have this is already a victory since you are underground. You have more strength then he does there." Yumi said lifting Kia to his feet.
Kia looked at her and said "thank you Yumi.
"You are welcome now get out there and kick that guys ass." Yumi said flicking him in the forehead.
Next thing Kia knew he was back in the sewers with the general staring at him while he lay there in a bunch up rubble at the wall. Kia closed his eyes. Feel the earth and everything around me. I have Yumi's power. His eyes then opened but instead of being red like they were before they looked like the green gem inside the medallion. The rubble he was laying in then lifted him to his feet and gently on the ground.
"What happens you seem really different. Oh well you will die either way." Elex said with a smile, he then charged Kia.
Kia looked to Elex barely tapped his foot on the ground. As soon as his foot hit the ground a column of rock appeared from the side hitting Elex sending him into the wall to his side. As Elex got up Kia turned to face him and said "You should have just answered the questions I asked earlier." Kia then lunged forward grabbing Elex by the throat and threw him to the side into another wall. As Elex got up his eyes burned with anger and he lunged to colliding into Kia in the middle of the room. Elex hit Kia in the gut but didn't even faze him. Kia then hit Elex into the gut and grabbed one of his tails cutting it off with the axe. As Elex struggled to recollect himself to get defensive Kia tapped his foot once again this time causing one rock column to emerge from both sides of Elex smashing him and trapping him. Kia then looked to Elex this time having his eyes turn back to the yellow red they were originally. "Tell me why have you been giving Black Talon monsters?" Kia said in an intimidating voice.
"It's just something me and the other generals are doing." Elex said with a smile.
"What are you demons planning?" Kia said getting annoyed.
"I won't tell you anything." Elex said still with a smile on his face.
"Well then I will have to go ask another general then." Kia said calming down.
Elex looked at Kia and said "I am one of the most inexperienced demon generals the fact you all had trouble dealing with me just shows you won't stand a chance to a full fledged demon general."
Kia then grew a smile "Don't worry about us we will find a way and we still have you and trust us we will get information out of you one way or another."
As Kia smiled to Elex feeling that he won Elex's grin grew and heard him say "looks like you are mistaken." At that moment the tail Kia didn't cut off shot through Elex's chest killing him and all the information he knew.
