In the love triangle of Alex, Asuna and Hikaru, Hikaru is at the back having a chance of less than 0.01 percent of getting out of the friend zone.
Alex was already famous in school for his looks, athletic achievements, and good grades, but now he had a new title given to him; Genius.
Alex becoming a genius didn't hurt anybody, except the King, Hikaru. To him, Alex was someone who was challenging his throne. All of his friends were glad that he got promoted, but the one who was the happiest was Asuna.
Hikaru was always pissed at Alex ever since he met him. Seeing how Asuna looked at Alex, he knew this won't end well for him. The only thing which kept him going on was that vague promise that she made to him, which she probably doesn't even remember.
When Alex became the new genius of school, Hikaru could see his already broken dream disappear.
Hikaru is a quite polite boy. He doesn't interact much with others and is a pushover. He usually gave off a gentle vibe with light hazel eyes, pale skin, and dark black hair with a faint brown shade.
But when someone tries to steal your imaginary girlfriend, who wouldn't stand up?
When news of Alex passing spread through the school, she was the first to congratulate him. Asuna was blushing like those love-struck damsels. She then realized a horrifying fact; she won't be able to see him during class.
The only time possible for her to be with him was at the start of school, break, and after school. The best time would be recess, but that was the time she would spend with Hikaru, and now we know why.
Choosing between Alex and Hikaru was a tough choice, so why not both?
Today was Alex's first day as a second year. He usually ate his lunch on the roof to have a peace of mind. When the bell rang, Alex sat on his usual spot and was taking out his lunch.
'Asuna, I don't usually see you around here.'
Asuna arrived before Alex could start. She had made up her mind that she will spend the recess with him, but she had no idea what to say.
'Ye-Yeah, just a change of place. I hope you don't mind.'
'What are you doing here, Alexander?'
Behind Asuna was Hikaru. Asuna had asked him to change places, hiding the motive of seeing Alex. She couldn't just leave Hikaru. She had hoped that the two of them would become friends, but that was her hoping too much.
'Oh, you're here too, Hikaru. Well, feel free to sit and eat your lunch.'
'I will.'
The two locked eyes, watching the other. The atmosphere had been saturated in awkwardness because of Asuna's decision. She wanted to go back, but leaving so abruptly would be even more awkward.
Alex didn't dislike Hikaru, but Hikaru was threatened by Alex. He didn't care about anything else other than being the smartest in school for Asuna. In front of him now was the person who was ruining everything.
A regular Japanese lunch consists of rice, sausages, vegetables, and an omelet. With it, a carton of milk or a flask of miso soup, and you're good to go.
Alex started eating his meal. Asuna sat to the left, and Hikaru was about to sit to the right.
When someone hates a person, he will deliberately go out of his way to harm him. It doesn't matter how small it might be as long as the person's annoyed, disturbed, or slightly disappointed. It is their win. They will do it subconsciously.
Hikaru had a flask of miso soup. He planned to spill it while sitting and then purposely trip over, getting Alex drenched.
It doesn't matter if you are as smart as hell. If you're a child at heart, you will do childish things.
He opened the bottle and did as he planned. He settled down his lunch on the ground and began pouring.
'Whoa!'
He then tripped on nothing. People get tripped by nothing more than anything else in this world. He fell harder than he expected, but to him, it was worth it.
--It's okay, I heard the splash. It definitely fell on him.
'Hikaru, you should be more careful. Here, let me help you.'
He looked up to see Alex completely dry and fine, extending his hand.
'Huh?'
In the split second that Hikaru blinked, the soup flew in mid-air. Alex didn't even need to think. His body reacted on his own. He was leaning forward and promptly leaned back according to the situation. The soup that was meant to fall on Alex got cruised past him. He had heard the splash, so someone must have suffered. Hikaru's eyes widened after seeing who.
'I'm so very sorry, Asuna.'
When he saw Asuna drenched in miso soup, his soul had left his body. Hikaru wanted to die on the spot, but life isn't that kind.
Ever wondered why we cannot control our cardiac muscle or smooth muscles by our will? It's because God knew if we were able to control them, as soon as the smallest mishap would happen, we would stop our heart, stomach, intestine, etc. and kill ourselves.
Asuna was drenched in the sticky and slightly hot miso soup.
'It's okay…Hikaru.'
He made sure that he would spill all of it. Asuna's shirt was completely soaked, and because of it, it became transparent. To put it in a nutshell, her bra started showing. *Fanservice ftw!*
