"What the hell?!" (YN) exclaimed as they both bolted up and out of our seats.
She was obviously alarmed, and now with her guard up like that it would be harder to make a connection with her.
I frowned, "This isn't going the way I had thought it woul–"
"This was planned!?"
"What!? Noo!" I thought for a second, "I uh… I guess so… Yeah. B-but I didn't think you'd react thi–" She cut him off again.
"No! No. I-I just want to know what the hell is going on! You aren't even a doctor are you!" She wept. Tears ran down her face. Her cheeks, wet with tears. (YN) sniffed and wiped her face. She had finally broken.
I sighed, "(YN). You're right, I am not a doctor. But, I am here to help–"
"What is this place! Tell me the truth y-you bastard!"
'I wasn't offered enough for this.' I thought "If you calm down, then I'll answer truthfully to any three questions you may have."
"But how will I know you're telling me the truth?"
"You'll just have to trust me." I smiled, "That's your first question. You have two left."
"What!? That's not fair!"
"You asked a question, and I answered it."
"Fine…" She thought for a while, "What's this place's address?"
I tried to hold in my laughter, "Uh, Hell? There really aren't any streets here, so… Yeah."
"You gotta be kidding me."
I couldn't keep my laughter in any longer. I broke out laughing. When I could finally breathe, I wiped my tears. I put on my most serious face and said, "I am completely serious."
"Psycho." (YN) mumbled. She crossed her arms and thought carefully, "Will I return home alive?"
I sigh, "Well it depends on several things. But the simple answer is…I don't know" She was about to protest but I cut her off, " I have no say in what is to happen to you. And I don't have authorization to let you go either, so don't bother asking." An idea hit me. I smiled."You'll have to ask somebo–."
"Who?" She asked anxiously.
"I already answered your three questions. But if you want to know so badly…. I could tell you, in exchange for..." I paused for suspense, "I want your hand an–"
"What!? I'm NOT gonna marry you!"
"FOR DEVIL'S SAKE FUCKING WAIT FOR ME TO FINISH MY DAMN SENTENCES!" I exploded frustrated at her. She flinched. Awkwardly I cleared my throat, "Not in that way. Your hand. Literally not figuratively." I gestures at her crossed arms.
"S-sorry." I could tell she was terrified, but not from her face or body language. I could hear her accelerated heart pounding loudly, and I could smell her beginning to sweat too. If not for my heightened senses I wouldn't have been able to tell though. She's practically an actress.
"Deal."
