Adrenaline raced through my veins. I sat up as quick as the flash. Gripping my forehead from the pain in my head. My eyes were heavy from crying and large beads of sweat clung to my face. I was in the hospital room again. Away from our death place.
"Finally!" Grunted a voice. Claude had been watching me. He stood up and walked over. "You were crying. In your sleep."
"How'd I fall asleep? What did you do?"
"Hey, don't start blaming me. All I did was hold your hand, and then you fainted!" Scared the shit out of me."
"I'm sorry." Tears began to form. 'That dream felt real though. No. It was a nightmare... I wonder…'
"My memories. Take them — Give them to all the whirlwinds, tornados, and storms." I paused wiping sweat from my forehead, "To all the hurricanes, typhoons, and gales."
"H-how do you know this?"
Trying not to choke on myself, I continued, "For that is who I am and forever will be… The swift winds of heaven." I whispered.
Claude fell silent. He plopped onto the couch, next to me. He sat there crouched over his knees. He could have very well been the model used for Aguste Rodin's sculpture. He sat there alive looking, but dead inside.
'I don't think that was a smart move… I'm so sorry, Claude. You didn't deserve this. And all because of my stupid curiosity.'
Again tears began to well up from my eyes. "I'm so sorry Claude," I wept, "We thought we could solve it by talking to Micheal. He wouldn't listen to us." I hugged Claude, "Sorry our death caused you to grieve. Nobody deserves this, not even you,"
He hugged back. An even more immense wave of sadness came over me. 'I should've kept to myself.'
His wet cheeks were warm pressed against my shoulder. After a while he sat up and looked me right in the eyes "(YN). Tell me, what did you see?"
"I saw a war. Up in the clouds, Michael and another man led the two armies. We tried to reason with Michael bu–,"
"We?"
"Oh. Uh, I guess I was in Tephras' body, but it feels as if it were my own body, I guess that's why I use those pronouns. We, us, our."
"Oh, okay."
"Yeah. So I guess we wanted him to stop this battle, but…" I cringed a bit, from the thought of being stabbed by a sword. "We were hurt, a-and we fell. Then you were there! You caught us. And we told you to let our memories free."
He sighed, " I-I'm sorry, these must be painful memories."
"It's okay." Claude sighed, "I will be back soon, eat up." He said in an unfazed voice.
He stood up and left.
'I am going insane…' I thought to myself. 'Wars in the clouds!? Possessing someone else's body!? This is not normal… at all.'
I decided to explore the room a bit, since Claude was taking his precious time.
'The room is pretty much empty, except for the occasional piece of furniture. The monitors were gone too, when had they been removed? How long have I been out cold for?'
Curiosity began to poke at me. Temptation was telling me to leave the room and look for something to do.
She probably wouldn't be hurt if she left the room either. After all she was still very much alive, and well. Imagine this turned into a Pandora's Box situation. (YN) chuckled.
I reached the door as someone knocked. I expectantly opened the door for him, "Claude?" I said thinking it was him.
A mildly familiar face stood in front of me. He had pearly skin… long blue hair, and sky blue eyes.
'He was there… When I first got into this mess. I remember him, clear as day. What was his name? Eli? July?'
"Hey, I know this is kind of sudden… and weird, to you. I heard you were gonna stay with Belphegor from now on. But that's not fair, he's the youngest… So, how about you become mine? Instead of his I mean?"
"What!? No! Get away from me!" I shut the door on him. There is no way out, except through that same exact door.
'I mean, I could surprise him and make a run for it. If he is standing directly next to the door I can slam it into him. Look for a way out. My best bet would be to look for Claude.'
On the other side of the door a few loud thumps startled me.
A wild, red haired man opened the door.
I panicked, 'Oh God, it's him…The psychopath who did this to me.'
"If you are Belphegor, I refuse to go with you!"
"Do I look like Pàstel here!? No! So get your ass over here! We gotta go before Fish Face over there gets you!" He grabbed my arm and yanked me out of the room. We passed by the blue haired man, who was currently laying on the floor, passed out?
He led me into a long corridor. We stopped so suddenly I almost continued without him. I soon realized my mistake.
He came closer to me. I backed up, until I hit the wall. He slapped his hands onto the wall on both sides. Cornering me like a wild fox. He looked me dead in the eyes wth his beady eyes. I turned away from his terrorizing glare.
Finally he spoke, "You are mine, okay? Not leviathan's, or Belphegor's, or anybody else's. Got it?" He said. "And look at me when I talk to you! Okay?"
"Okay."I whispered weakly.
