After that one comment from @julieee, the topic changed and it turned into something else. Something that would hit Ashlyn's father very deeply. Who the hell told him to marry a celebrity anyway? Even after her death, Ashlyn's mother was still recognized.
Now that Ashlyn also entered the entertainment industry is only predictable that the attention will come back to him. He, his new wife, and his step-daughter will be very much under the public's watch. After all, the real daughter is Ashlyn and if she wants to reveal their secrets she can and everyone will stand on her side.
This is why Ashlyn decided to get as many connections as possible. She was also aiming at the best scripts out there. Better scripts meant showing her talent more, following that she will start getting popular and she will have many opportunities to expose her father.
In the car, they had discussed manipulating the situation and Ashlyn had just started. This was just the first step. She knew that someone. Out of millions of fans, her mother had there had to be one that had kept themselves updated with goddess Thalia's life and family. And she was right. Her mother had come true and loyal fans that were never deceived by her father.
Her father was smart at not admitting to her being the adopted daughter and yet still letting it off. Mr.Brown would soon have to face the scheming side of his daughter. He would now see that he had indeed shared his scheming ability to his daughter.
Now the genes that he passed on to her would be his destruction unless he retaliates on time.

"uh...Conner" Mike stood rooted to the ground as he finished reading the comments of a picture of Sissie and Ashlyn. Conner ignored him and continued typing on his computer.
"Ahem. It's important." Mike insisted on showing him the phone. Conner sent him a glare and Mike finally stopped. "It's about your wife but okay…" Mike shrugged.
As soon as those words left his mouth, his phone was snatched from his hand. Mike winded his eyes in shock. Did he just do that? He was acting like he didn't care about anything he had to say a few minutes ago, but as soon as he mentioned 'wife' Conner's attention turned to him.
And not even him but his phone which contains information about his wife!
Mike humphed and snatched the phone back. "Sir! Excuse me for my rudeness but it's working hours." He told Conner and ran for his life. Humph! He was just trying to help those two get their relationship fixed but now he was losing his best friend!
'Humph! Now you have to search it up yourself. You don't even appreciate my efforts!" Mike complained and entered his office.
Conner rolled his eyes and took his phone from his pocket. He started searching in his secret social media account but he found nothing related to his wife. He had searched for almost ten minutes but he had not found anything. Since the images of Ashlyn and Sissie had only been updated not too long ago, they were still far from the hot search. It would still take at least half of the day for that to happen and Conner didn't have the patience to wait for that.
If there is news of his wife he must know immediately! He had sent her a text this morning and she responded briefly, so he wanted to know what was happening around her. For some reason, he was overly worried about her.
After a long search, Conner gave up and used the intercom to call mike. "Bonus for this month." He told him simply. "I have sent the link," Mike replied, grinning from ear to ear.
Conner opened the link Mike had sent him and he lifted his eyebrows in surprise. He then frowned when he saw Sissie and Ashlyn acting so friendly. He felt 100 percent sure that the image isn't what it looks like. He was worried that Sissie had bullied her just like last time at the party.
He went through the comments and he started to realize what was happening.

Conner realized what Ashlyn was trying to do and he smiled.
