Third person POV
All nine brothers were inside a living room. It was dead silent. No one spoke. It was so silent that you couldn't even hear one's breath. There was an eery aura in the room as a shadow covered everyone's eyes.
" I can't believe we lost her..." Sehun said before letting out a long sigh.
" We finally found her...And then we lost her within a day.." Chanyeol continued and also let out a long sigh.
"It's all your fault Chanyeol" Kyungsoo stated with venom lacing each.
"What?! What did I do?!" He yelled while waving his hands around in the air. Everyone else just shook their head and started leaving the room, leaving Kyungsoo and Chanyeol alone.
" Your a pabo" Kyungsoo said bluntly before leaving the room to catch up with the others.
";-; What did I do?!" He yelled before running after them.
"Suho," Yixing called after him
" Yes Yixing?" he asked while opening the door to the garden.
"There is a dangerous chance that they will find her if she is out in the forest," Yixing said while kneeling down to a patch of dead roses.
"I understand that. We have to find her as soon as possible." Suho agreed before telling the nearest maid the dinner plans.
"We can't send soldiers after her," Yixing said bluntly. " She is going to think that we think of her as a threat if we don't go find her personally" he continued. Suho let out a sigh before rubbing his temples. He knew he was right and he definitely didn't want to lose his mate when they just found her.
"Alright we will each have a day that we venture into the woods to find her," Suho suggested.
"That's a good plan" Yixing agreed and touched each flower. The flower returned to is a healthy color.
"Let's inform the others about our plan," Suho said before turning and heading back inside.
"Let's just hope that they don't find her" Yixing said to himself before heading back inside. He looked back at the garden once. Feeling a shiver down his spine he proceeded going back inside for dinner.
Once Yixing went inside, a cold harsh wind stirred in the garden. A shadow emerged over the rose patch. The shadow radiated anger. The roses started to wilt and turn to dust. The shadow turned and left kingdom grounds. Its cloak fluttered in the wind making its way to its new target.
"Sweet sweet Y/n. If only they knew what you were. They would hate you. Just.Like.I.Do"

Y/n POV
I woke up in a cave with the Fawn by my side. The light of the sunrise hit my face. The cave walls were smooth including the ceiling of the cave, and the smell of the water was fresh as drops of water fell from the ceiling. I carefully stood up as to not wake up the fawn. I stretched my arms wide and let out a sleepy yawn.
I looked back at the fawns sleeping form and couldn't help but smile softly. She was so much like me when I was younger. I frowned a little at the thought of my past compared to how hers might have been.
'I wonder...'
I looked back at the fawn. I saw her shiver slightly. I took off my leather jacket and placed it gently on the fawn's small figure.
'I wonder when she is going to be able to shift into a human form..'
I shook off the thought and quickly left the cave to look for food. I looked back once more at the fawn. I was convinced she will be okay for a few hours.
" I'll be back don't you worry," I whispered before shifting into my wolf form and dashing through the forest trees.
~~~~~~ Fawn's POV~~~~~~
I woke up and stretched on all fours before snapping my mouth open a couple of times. My mouth was so dry. I looked around at the cave we discovered yesterday. Wait a minute...
'Where is that pretty lady?'
I looked around once more and then I started to whimper. What if she abandoned me? Am I going to be all alone? How will I survive?
I panicked before coming to the conclusion that she wasn't going to come back.
'Might as well go find water'
I walked out of the cave and listened for running water. I walked past some trees and found a shiny lake. I saw a wolf drinking some water too.
' Hey! There she is!'
I jumped in joy before making my way over to her. I nudged her body with my nose. She turned her head and looked at me before nudging me back, a little bit harder. I pushed her gently but with a bit more force back. It then became a little competition between nudging. It ended when she pushed a little too hard and I flew into the middle of the lake.
' I!-*gasp* Can't!*struggles* Swim!!'
I started sinking to the bottom. I was just about to close my eyes when I heard a splash in the water. I opened my eyes and saw the wolf pick me up by the neck and start to swim up.
~~~~~~Y/n POV~~~~~~
'Oh Sh*t!!'
I dived in and swam to her. I picked her up by the neck gently and swam to land.
' Oh my god, it's my fault! I almost killed a poor child! Why couldn't I control my strength even for just a little bit!-'
I was interrupted when I felt something lean on my paws. The fawn was by my feet snuggling into my damp fur for warmth.
I let out a sigh before grabbing the fawn in my mouth and walking back to the cave.
She kept letting out tiny squeaks which I found adorable. I-I mean n-not that I c-care or anything.
I set her down on the cave floor before giving her a stare meaning 'don't-you-dare-leave-this-cave-until-I-come-back'. I saw her shiver in her place before giving me a small nod. I glared at her before heading off to look for food.
I don't mean to be harsh I just can't have a child wander around and get her into trouble. I looked up into the sky and saw the clouds begging to darken. I could hear the faint sounds of thunder from the distance.
' I better hurry.' And with that, I ran into the forest looking for food before the storm.
~~~~~5 hours Time skip~~~~
I was running through the pouring rain in my human form. I had just found a berry bush with lots of seeds and I needed bigger arms to carry it all. I also found lots of good wood for fires. I plan on planting the seeds closer to the cave so I don't have to go so far away from the cave and the wood is for making fire's to cook fish or anything for me. So far the food was the least of my problems. What was on my mind was the poor fawn.
The water dripped down my face as my hair clung to my face and neck. The poor dear must be scared mindless in this strong storm. I ran as fast as I could without dropping anything. I made it in front of the cave and as I did a bolt of lightning flashed a strong light. I couldn't see the fawn anywhere in the cave.
I set the wood and berries on a dry spot of grass on the ground before looking through the cave and calling out for the fawn.
" Little fawn? Are you here? Where did you go?" My voice echoed in the cave. Another bolt of lightning struck and I heard a faint whimper.
I looked closer at the dark corner of the cave. There was a curled up figure that was much too big to be a fawn. With each lightning and thunder harsh sounds the more the figure shook with fear. It was facing the cave wall and crying softly.
I walked slowly to the figure and reached out toward it with my hand. It must have seen me because it flinched away from my hand. Its hair was covering its face but I could see that it refused to look at me. The light of another lightning bolt gave me enough light to see a girl with small deer-like ears. It was the fawn. Did she manage to transform because she was scared?
" Hey," I said softly," It's okay. There's no need to be scared" I said softly and kept inching closer to her. She turned her head and I managed to get a good look of her face.
I felt my heart break at the sight of a child in tears. I opened my arms and offered a hug.
" It's okay your safe now," I said softly and gave her a loving smile.
She seemed very hesitant at first until she practically fell into my arms. I picked her frail body up and walked to the wall of the cave and leaned my back against it while hugging her close. I reached out and grabbed my leather jacket and wrapped it around her. She leaned her head on my chest but kept crying when the sound of the storm got louder.
I brushed her hair with my hand. I took a deep breath and began to sing the lullaby my adopted mother sang to me when I was scared.

As I sang I heard the girl sing softly with me like she knew the lyrics by heart. She must have heard it before because she had pain in her eyes when she sang along. 'You poor thing.' I thought to myself and held her tighter.

When she continued singing I couldn't help but smile. We weren't all that different at all. We just needed someone to be there with us when we were alone. But I wonder...Who sang her that song.

I had small flashbacks of my past. I chose to ignore them because I was not going to let this child see her only hope weak. I will protect her.

When we finished the song she smiled up at me before yawning and laying on my chest once more. I held her close and kissed the top of her head. I then too drifted off to a peaceful slumber.
Sehun POV
I was taking a walk through the forest since me and my brothers now have times to look for Y/n. I saw how a storm was coming in close and I let out a harsh breath in frustration. I always hated storms ever since I was little.
'I doubt she is going to be here especially when a storm is coming. She is going to want to take shelter.'
I thought to myself as I continued walking. I looked up once more and saw the storm clouds grow darker. I picked up the pace by shifting into my wolf form and running down a random path. As I ran I felt the rain start pouring and heard the thunder roaring.
'Damnit rain.'
I ran faster because the rain brought back such horrible memories. I can't lose a grip now!
"Sehun why can't you be more like your brothers?"
THAT voice began to ring in my head as I continued to run. I unintentionally began running faster.
" But Dad! I want to go play with my friends! I want to live a normal life!"
" You don't need friends!! Do you know what those people did to your mother!! You will never be like your brothers you stupid boy!!!!"
" B-But Father I don't want to be like them-*Smack*" He dragged me by the ear and threw me into my room. I landed on the hardwood floor letting the impact and pain settle in.
N-No not this memory. I didn't see where I was going. I tripped and fell on the muddy ground. I didn't pass out. Instead, I lay there whimpering at the memory. I just let it play out so it would end.
~~~Flash back~~~
"Shut up you worthless child!" He walked toward the door and opened it. He was about to leave but he said one last thing before he left,
"This is why your brother is dead" And with that, he slammed the door shut and left. I looked out the window and saw the storm clouds gather. I curled up into a ball and started crying. I flinched every time lightning would strike. The horrible memories came flooding back.
When mom was alive she would beat me in the dungeon because I caught her having an affair with a random man. She was afraid I would tell father and her throne would be taken away. She took out her stress on me and it became a daily routine.
Whenever I would get sent back to my room my big brother Luhan would be there waiting to help me. I would cry and cry but I knew that my brothers had it worse from both Mother and Father. Who knows what they had to go through.
" L-Luhan are y-you okay. Y-You have a b-big bruise" I stuttered as I hugged him tighter. He let out a sigh before petting my hair soothingly.
" Mother made us fight each other again," He said before his grip on my hair tightened.
" Why do they do this?! Are we merely things of entertainment!? ARE THEY EVEN OUR FA-" He was caught off when he saw more tears coming down my eyes. His eyes moved to the grip on my hair. He let go and hugged me tighter.
" I'm sorry Sehun. I never meant to hurt you. We all have been hurt so much because of this stupid kingdom. We shouldn't have to fight each other." He lifted my chin with his hand gently before he continued, "If all we have is each other. Then we should protect each other instead of hurting each other."
" We won't ever be apart right Lu Hyung?" I asked with big eyes full of hope.
"Never"
~~A few days later~~
"You stupid brat!! How dare you sneak out to the village again to play with stupid children!!" Mother yelled before slapping me across the face once more. I could do nothing but stand there and be humiliated in front of my father and brothers during the family dinner. I looked to the ground to prevent the tears from falling.
'My brothers have been through worse. I have to be strong.'
"Why can't you do anything right and just fucking learn to accept the fact that you are different from other children!! You are not going to have a free life!! You are not allowed to go outside of this palace!!" She yelled before hitting me again. My father only watched in disappointment. My brothers kept their heads down to avoid getting punished, but they all had the same anger boiling inside them. They wanted to help.
" Maybe I should just burn that village down so you can learn your lesson!!" She yelled before standing up and conjuring a flame in her hand. I had no idea what came over me but I yelled.
" NO!!"
It was dead silent. My brothers looked up surprised and scared. My father had his eyes wide a little. I slowly looked up at Mother's face. She was angry.
" No? Did you just tell me no?" The click of her heels came closer to me. I shook in my place. I looked down waiting to accept my fate.
" Wait! Mother!"
"Please don't Mother!!"
"I'll take his place, Mother!"
My brothers tried to reason with her but nothing could stop her. I heard the sound of blasting power and waited for the impact. Nothing happened so I opened my eyes.
" L-Lu Hyung? Why are you-" I cut myself off seeing the blood fall on the floor. I slowly looked back up. Luhan took the hit for me. His body started to fall.
" Luhan!!" I yelled with tears running down my eyes. I went by his side and put his head on my lap. He was pale and blood gushed out of his mouth. My Father got up and walked toward Mother. She had fear in her eyes.
* Smack*
" Get out and never come back." He said before walking out of the dining room. She ran after him crying and begging to forgive her. By the time they left everyone crowded around Luhan.
" Yixing can't you heal him!!" Chanyeol asked.
" I can try," He said before kneeling down and trying to heal his wounds. The color returned to his face and his eyes opened.
" W-What happened?" He asked.
" Luhan!! You're okay!!" I yelled and hugged him tightly. He chuckled a bit before hugging back. Everyone let out a sigh of relief. Kyungsoo helped him stand.
" How about we all go to bed and then we can head to the training grounds" Kris offered.
" Yeah," We all said before laughing and joking around as we walked back to our rooms.
" I'm glad you are okay Luhan Hyung," I said while giving him a big smile.
" I'm glad you are okay Sehun" He responded before ruffling my hair.
" Get some sleep. We have the training to do in the morning." He said before entering his room.
" Goodnight."
"Goodnight Hyung."
~~Later that night~~
*CRASH* *THUD* * THUD* * CRASH*
I woke up to the sound of fighting. It sounds like it's coming from Luhan's room...
I walked out and headed toward Luhan's room. The door was opened a bit and the noise suddenly stopped. I opened the door slightly. The moonlight through the window was the only source of light. I saw a lump on the bed. It must be Luhan.
" Hey, Hyung" I poked him, "Hey hyung what was that...noise.." I trailed off when I felt a wet substance on my hand. I looked at my palm.
" Blood."
I threw off the blanket and found Luhan's body bruised and beat but when I looked to see his face...It wasn't there.
" Luhan...Luhan!!! LUHAN!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
~~End of Flashback~~
When it finally ended I was in tears. I stood up and looked to where I was. I was in front of the lake. I walked to the water and tried to look at my reflection from the moonlight. I never could find that murderer. It pained me to realize that the person got away.The rain was pouring hard.
'I should head back'
I was about to walk back until I heard some singing. It was beautiful. I followed the melody and ended up seeing a cave. I didn't go inside but instead went in front of it to get a better look inside.
" Y/n?" I asked myself.
" Is that the fawn?"
When the song ended I realized how calming that melody was. The rain had stopped too.
" I need to tell the others," I said but before I turned back I shifted back to my human form and walked into the cave quietly.
" I will see you soon Y/n" I whispered before kissing the top of her head and heading out of the cave.
He ran back to the palace and entered the front gate. He ran inside before going into the living room. Coincidently everyone was there.
" Where have you been!?" They all asked.
" I-" Before I could continue I felt very hot and weak. I blacked out but before I was completely asleep I heard,
" Goddamnit sEhOoN! You done gon got sick AGAIN!!" Yelled Kyungsoo in frustration because he knew he would be the one cooking my meals.
