Y/n POV
I stared at them fighting and grew annoyed with each passing second. I then stood on my paws and looked at the fawn. I then looked across the stream and inhaled. I let out a powerful bark that caused the water to fly in their direction and soak them.
I let out a small laugh at their expressions. Unfortunately, their wolf forms would now smell like wet dog until they got cleaned. I suddenly turned my gaze to the ground at a realization. I heard them whimper slightly on the other side from the lack of attention.
I can't be with them...
As much as I want to...I can't. It would only put them in danger. I promised myself years ago not to get close to anyone. I have to keep that promise.
I looked up and watched them shake the water off of their fur. I turned my gaze to the small fawn biting my tail. Well aren't you annoying...
I didn't notice that my mates were trying to get my attention.
"I am so sorry for my brothers, miss," one of my mates said through mind-link. I looked him in the eyes with a type of attitude that seemed to scare him. He took a step back and looked at the ground shyly.
' Awe that's cute'
"It's alrig-" I was about to respond when something caught my eye.
" Miss?" another one of them asked.
My mind was filled with a lot of things. Anger and annoyance were the major two. I stared directly behind them. My mind could not calculate as to how this fawn made its way across the river and sat down right behind my vicious mates without being spotted.
'How in the bloody hell did you manage to get over THERE without anyone noticing?!'
I panicked on the inside but kept a calm composure on the outside. Lord help me not create a scene in front of this innocent fawn's eyes.
"Is something wrong, love?" one of them asked while following my gaze, causing the others to follow his gaze to the fawn as well.
' Oh, crap' I thought.
' I DIDN'T CUT OFF THE MIND-LINK!!'
After hearing what I said they turned their heads and saw the baby fawn biting its tail cutely and not paying attention to them. I saw them growl slightly which caused me to growl in warning.
As soon as they took a step toward the fawn, I was out with it in my grasp and running through the forest to who knows where. I ran faster and kept the fawn balanced in my mouth. I could hear howls and feet of the wolves behind us. They were not going to give up without a fight...I ran while dodging trees and leaping over bushes. As I ran I felt my body giving up.
' NO! I'm not letting myself give up now!!" I yelled in my head as my body felt weaken.
Months without food, water and not enough rest, not to mention being severely injured, has a huge impact on a body. (Obviously) Well duh, it's not like your gonna come back from the dead and your body is going to be great shape.
I felt my feet give out and I tripped. I curled up into a ball with the fawn safely protected in my arms. I blacked out.
????? POV
We were busy chasing after her until we saw he trip over her own feet. Her body slide across the ground with the fawn still in her arms.
" SHE'S HEADING FOR THE CANYON!!" Yelled Suho.
'Come on pick up the pace' I scolded myself as I made my legs run faster.
As her unconscious body slide across the dirt, the fawn fell out of her grasp and landed in a pile of mud.
" Yixing make sure that fawn doesn't run away!" Commanded Suho.
" Alright," He yelled back before slowing his pace and checking up on the fawn.
Her body stopped but on the very edge of the canyon.
' Crap Crap CRAP!!' I yelled in my head before watching the earth crumble around her.
" NO!!"
