Back in the dungeon, Arine wakes from his blackout with a cough attack. Blood sprays out of his mouth and he vomits out more, the red pooling in front of him. After he is done he wipes his mouth, and looks up weakly to see that Ikko is already awake sitting in the same place he was when he last saw him. Their eyes met and Ikko tried to move closer, but by the look of pain on his face he instantly regretted it, and layed back to where he was.
"Hey." He managed to say with a sad smile. Arine looked back at him and he couldn't help holding back the tears that started to stream down his face. His arms then gave out from under him, and he fell the few inches back to the floor. He didn't care that half his face was covered in the blood from the pool below him, and stayed there, balling his eyes out. "I... I'm, so-... ry..."
Ikko then forced himself to move, crawling towards Arine with the last amount of strength he had, and collapsed next to him grabbing his hand. "Why...? Y-You're the one who can't heal themselves..." Arine couldn't say anything else through the rasps of his sobs, and his uneven breathing.
His crying was starting to cut off his air, and he desperately tried to find his breath. Ikko, noticing his gasps placed another hand onto his back, a small amount of magic seeping into his lungs. Arine started to calm down and closed his eyes. Ikko then pushed himself up to a sit shakily. "The magic will prevent any more blood from leaving your body, but..."
Ikko then lifted Arine's arm, and pulled out the knives that were sticking out of it. Arine screamed in pain but Ikko was surprised at how well he wasn't resisting. He pulled out the rest of the knives that came out clean of blood because of his magic, and by the time he was done he collapsed next to him again, and wrapped Arine in his wing.
Pulling Arine away from the blood to a clear place on the floor, he wrapped his arm around him along with his wing, holding him close. Ikko's wounds were starting to heal, and he had already stopped bleeding, but healing that much of himself at once was taking a lot out of him.
"I'm sorry... Torture is- something a kid like you... Should've never experienced..." Arine tried his best to wipe the blood and dirt from his face. "...H-Has anyone ever t-... Told you... That, you're skin is soft...?" He was barely able to raise one side of his mouth for a small smile and moved closer to Ikko. "So fluffy..." Ikko was surprised with his positive response and waited a few minutes for his voice to return so he could speak again. "Thanks... For trying, to save my wings..."
Arine's eyes remained closed as his breathing became slow, and he started to get heavier in Ikko's arms. Ikko's expression changed to fear as he felt Arine's soul start to flicker, and fade. Arine lost so much blood that it was certain that the next time he fell asleep, he would never be able to wake up again. Not to mention, Ikko has been fighting the urge to eat for so long, that seeing so much blood was terrifying for him.
Ikko tightened his grip around Arine starting to shake. "No...! You only, have to stay alive a little longer! W-Wait until I can heal you! Hold on... Hold on, god damn it...!" Arine didn't answer, but he continued to breathe. That didn't reassure Ikko that he was still going to live though. "Please... Stay alive..."

I winced in pain as Lothor lifted me onto his lap. 'What is he talking about...? Why is he calling me my Alathera?' Right then Sythyon started to struggle hard enough to crack the floor and walls around him. "Let go of her!!! Don't touch her!!! She's not yours, she's mine!!! I'll kill you for this!!!" Lothor then yelled back just as angry. "Shut up!!! She's mine now just like she was mine then!! I loved her more than you did, and you still stole her from me!!"
I froze in surprise not expecting him to be the type of guy to raise his voice. 'What?! Now I'm really confused. He loved me...?' Sythyon was also caught off guard by his words. But his expression quickly changed back to annoyance.
"What the hell are you talking about?! You never cared for her, you killed her!!!" Lothor gritted his teeth. "Only because my hate for you was stronger!! You took everything from me!! So I took something from you!" Sythyon's surprised look came back. "What?!" Reading his mind, Lothor answered what he was thinking.
"You were always the important one! The future king of hell! Meanwhile father wrote me off as some sort of disappointment, even though he knew I was more powerful than you!! All you ever did was cry, and wouldn't talk to anyone besides Alathera, who was a freaking horse!! You ruined my life, so I swore to ruin yours by doing whatever it takes! But as if losing the only ray of light in my life wasn't enough, you got stronger and banished me to the human world!! While you were trying to cope with your grieving in your large castle drowning yourself in women, I was starting from nothing in a realm where everyone hates you for what you are!! It took me too long to get to where I am now, and I'm not letting you destroy it!!"
Sythyon looked as if he had no idea how to process everything he said. "You were, jealous of me?! What-?! If you had one shred of a braincell left in that empty coconut you call a brain, you would've realized that you were lucky to not have father's attention!! And why did you make Alathera suffer just to get to me?!! What did she ever do to deserve that?!!"
Lothor glared intensely and grabbed me by the hair, lifting me up in front of Sythyon. "Ah!" Lothor spoke angrily, but there was sorrow in his voice. "Because she never loved me back!! It was only you! You were the only one she would protect! You were the only one she would let ride her! You were the only one she loved! And it's all happening again because you cheated and found her first!!"
The pain of being hung by my hair was straining me, and I started to feel my eyes becoming glossy again. But all of a sudden, a memory flooded my mind. Only, I wasn't human in the memory. I realized that for whatever reason, something had unlocked my subconscious, allowing me to see something I experienced when I was a unicorn. I remembered being taken as one of the last unicorns into the underworld for my soul to be sold and eaten.
I don't know how, but I managed to escape and run deep into the red woods that layed behind the castle of the overlord. I ran through the red trees and grass, looking up at the red sky to see if any dragons had spotted me. I was scared, and I knew that I might never see the human world again. And I never did.
