It was late morning as Sythyon carried me through the streets of the black market and I couldn't help but be embarrassed. Everyone was looking at us and I was being held to his chest tightly. I could tell that Sythyon was becoming irritated. He never liked it when any of the demon servants at his castle even glanced at me. I can't imagine how hard it must be for him to keep his cool right now.
We walked for a minute longer before one of the demons decided to speak to Sythyon, blocking his path. "What are you doing here?" Sythyon's expressionless face didn't change as he answered. "I'm looking for a fallen angel, a siren and a fairy." The demon raised an eyebrow. "...You know them?"
Hearing that I immediately turned around in Sythyon's arms to face the demon. "They were here?! What happened to them?!" The demons eyes widened as we made eye contact. "What the-?!" Sythyon quickly covered my eyes with his other hand. "God you're an idiot." I shrunk back into my shell realizing what I done.
The demon then smirked. "Where did you find a rare beauty like that? I've never seen much of unicorn souls let alone a human with one." Sythyon glared at him as others started to whisper around us. "Touch her and die." I blushed at how protective his words were despite the low murderous rage in his voice.
The demon took a step back with his hands slightly raised. "Geez, not even I am that stupid. I won't go near her, but I can't say the same about the others here." Sythyon held his glare. "I'll leave when you tell me what I want to know."
The demon smiled evilly. "Right. Those intruders. You're a little late. I doubt they're still alive, a certain someone you know came here right before they were taken. If you're looking for them, look in Lothor's fortress." I was frozen in stunned silence and was too worried to see Sythyon's reaction. 'This can't be happening! My friends might be doomed, and I'll be the reason Sythyon has to see his brother again!'
As I started to panic, Sythyon answered in a soft emotionless tone. "Thank you." He then immediately spread his wings and flew up. "Whoa!" I didn't think he would have such a calm response. He continued to fly in silence when I dared to ask him, "So... Where are we going?" He looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "To get your friends, obviously."
My face clearly showed surprise at his answer. "Wait, really? but what about your brother?" He turned his head away to look forward. "What about him?" My surprised look fell into confusion. "I thought you hated him and never wanted to see him again."
He sighed. "I don't. But like you said, I don't want anyone else to suffer the same fate you did either." I didn't answer. 'I'm glad that he wants to do this for me. I love him so much.' A moment of silence passed before Sythyon smirked. "Plus, the more I think about it, the more I'm looking forward to kicking that spoiled demons ass now that I can."

Meanwhile Arine woke up kneeling next to Cienar and Ikko with a sudden pain rush into his head. "Ow... Did they have to hit so hard...?" He looked around and saw that they were in a large room like a throne room but there was no throne. Ikko popped his neck a moment after. "I can't feel my arms." Cienar rolled his eyes. "It's probably because they're chained behind your back."
Ikko and Arine both looked behind them and saw that he was right. But before they could respond, a voice came from in front of them. "Have a good sleep?" They quickly looked up to see the same two demons that had ordered for them to be taken at the black market. The one with the black hair called Lothor smiled after he saw that he had their attention.
"Dagger, you have the best sense of smell in the human world. Find out why a bug, a bottom feeder, and a malfunction were in my market." Arine looked at him in offense as Lothor turned his back to them. The demon called Dagger approached the intruders with the ghost of a smirk on his face. He then stopped a few feet in front of them and tilted his head.
Suddenly, he took a step back, his eyes wide. "Uhhhh, um, I don't think the reason they were there was important..." Lothor stopped and turned around. "What?" Arine, Ikko and Cienar looked at each other all thinking the same question of why he wasn't coming out with the real answer. Lothor read Dagger quickly and walked over to him. "What do you know?!"
The room echoed with his sudden outburst and struck Dagger and the others with fear. Dagger crossed his arms and looked away nervously. "Um, they were there because... They were trying to find the unicorn..." Lothor froze. "She's still alive?! You said that she was killed as soon as she was sold!"
Ikko and Cienar's expressions immediately changed to surprise. Cienar whispered, "She never mentioned anything about being a slave..." Meanwhile the demons conversation continued. Dagger shrugged. "I lied." Lothor slapped his forehead. "Ugh! Why?!" He raised an eyebrow and continued to avoid Lothor's cold gaze. "I didn't think it was that important."
Lothor crossed his arms as well. "Not important?! This is-!" Dagger cut him off with a loud sigh. "I knew you'd be mad!" Suddenly, Lothor paused. "Mad?" Dagger rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I thought that once you found out I let her escape you would blow up like usual." Lothor waited a second then a small smile appeared on his face. It quickly turned into laughter. "I'm not mad. This is great!"
Dagger looked at him confused. "Wait, what?!" Lothor uncrossed his arms. "I am a little annoyed with the fact that you let her escape, but now that I know that she's not dead I couldn't be happier." Dagger looked at him suspiciously as Lothor chuckled. "...What are you planning?" He ignored him and turned to the prisoners. "Now that I get closer to you three, I do smell traces of her. That being said, you must know her whereabouts. What are your relations to the unicorn, and why were you looking for her?"
Arine glared at him. "I could ask you the same thing!" Cienar followed his comment with a glare of his own. "Why would we tell you anything?" Lothor's gaze moved to Cienar, then his smile grew dark. "Well aren't you pretty."
Cienar's eyes widened as Lothor kneeled in front of him and slid his hand to his cheek. "I thought I smelled something amazing earlier, but I didn't notice it was coming from you." Cienar froze. "Oh no, not you too!" Ikko rolled his eyes. "Man, what soap do you use?" Cienar turned to yell at him. "You think I TRY to seduce demons??!! It's just what sirens smell like okay??!!" Ikko shook his head. "With how much of a perv you are I'm surprised you're not into it."
Lothor spoke right after. "Enough! If you're not going to tell me anything, then I have no use for you." He then stood up and turned his back to them. As he walked away he gave an order to Dagger. "Do what you want with them, if they happen to talk, fine. If they don't, kill them. But don't touch the siren. He's mine."
