Lothor leaned over again, but before he could reach Cienar's lips, a knock came from the door. Lothor's expression was emotionless as he stopped, and answered. "What is it?" His eyes didn't leave Cienar's body as a voice came from outside of the room. "Sorry to interrupt, but, your brother is here." Lothor's eyes widened and he sat up quickly. Cienar saw his eyes search for a reaction as a moment of silence passed, then he cursed under his breath and got off of the bed.
He put his coat back on and headed to the door, but stopped a few feet away to turn back to Cienar. He smirked and raised a finger to his lips, signaling for him to be silent and said nothing as he exited the room. After he was gone Cienar let out a huge sigh of relief and collapsed into the pillows below him.
'That was too close! Now I know how Silvera feels!' He thought as he tried to calm down his heavy breathing and trembling body. 'Wait, I didn't know Lothor had a brother...' He wondered why he ran away so quickly at the thought of his brother being here, and the split second of fear that appeared on his face as soon as he heard it. 'I wonder what's going on...'
*
I was uneasy walking through the halls of Lothor's fortress. The sun was setting outside and the lack of light didn't help with my fear. 'I'm about to see the man who killed me hundreds of years ago again.' I could tell that Sythyon, who was walking beside me was also tense, but he was more angry than afraid. He held my hand tightly and had not let go since we entered the fortress. The guards in front of us led us into a large room, like a throne room, but with no throne.
They then turned around after we entered, and left us standing there in the large room alone. The silence was causing my uneasiness to grow, and startled me even more when the sound of footsteps came from in front of us. I quickly looked up and saw Lothor walking towards us wearing all black, his eyes as chilling as I remembered them.
But something was different about him this time. He stopped and stood still an unnoticeable large distance away from us and both Sythyon's and Lothor's eyes met. I could instantly hear the shattering of their personalities, crashing into each other at ground shaking speed. The tension became so high that a fool could notice it. Both of them stared with annoyance for only a moment, but the hatred in their eyes was so large that it felt like an eternity.
I noticed that at first glance, they both seemed to be staring down the other with anger, but when I got a closer look, it was only Sythyon who had been looking at him with hatred. Lothor's gaze was just as scary, yet there was a hint of fear behind it. Though it was only there for a split second before the fear clouded over with the same hate Sythyon didn't hesitate to show. "Why are you here? Brother." His voice was so cold and spit out like venom, that I shook from the ice chill of it crawling up my spine.
Sythyon was unaffected by it and answered back in a murderous tone. "You took some things of Silvera's. And you will give them back." Lothor raised an eyebrow with no expression. "So that's it's name now? How droll."
I blinked in confusion and annoyance. 'Did he just call me an it?!' I thought as Sythyon continued to threaten. "I know you've taken the fairy, siren, and fallen angel. Where are they?" Lothor shrugged. "Dead probably. I let my number two have his way with them hours ago."
I was about to gasp when I saw Lothor's eyes quickly flicker to the side and I instantly knew that he was lying about their fate. 'He knows they're not dead, but they might be if we wait a moment more.' I felt rage build up inside me towards Lothor, so much in fact that I didn't know if I could contain it much longer. Sythyon, also noticing his dishonesty, started to walk towards him, therefore taking me, because he had still not letten go of my hand.
"How stupid do you think I am? I can sense souls as much as you can if not more. I'm starting to think that that's your way of telling me you won't tell me where they are." Lothor didn't move as we stopped in front of him. I noticed that Sythyon towered over him in height, yet Lothor still had the ghost of a smirk on his face. "For someone as smart as you, you're still the fool between us."
Sythyon's eyes narrowed. "You're in no position to be calling me a fool. You and I both know I can crush you like the cockroach you are under my foot. So enough with the riddles and tell us where they are before I nail your worthless hide to the wall!" Lothor chuckled under his breath.
"Kill me if you want, but even if you tear this place apart, you will never find them without me." The rage inside me suddenly hit the breaking point and without thinking, I pulled my hand from Sythyon's, and immediately grabbed Lothor by the collar, forcing him down to face me in one quick motion. It caught both Lothor and Sythyon off guard, but I didn't let myself react before I started screaming in Lothor's face.
"You think you can intimidate us?! I couldn't care less if Sythyon kills you right here and now!! But I will make sure that he breaks every bone in your body before he does!! So if you don't want to use your last breath on a passive aggressive comment, I suggest telling me where my friends are right now before I PERSONALLY TEAR YOUR THROAT OUT AND MAKE YOU EAT IT!!!"
Both Sythyon's and Lothor's eyes widened with shock and even I was surprised at how gruesome my words were. It was like I snapped, but despite my realization, I held my glare toward Lothor. When his surprise melted away he gave me an unamused look. "You're bluffing." I then raised an eyebrow and threw him to the floor.
"Try me. Sythyon, kill him." Sythyon was still surprised, but turned to Lothor with a smirk. "Sure." Lothor's expression quickly changed to fear as Sythyon raised his hand, black lightning shooting from out of it and pinning Lothor to the wall with so much force, the cement behind him cracked.
The lightning wrapped around his body, imprisoning him against the wall as he tried to get free. "Ah! Okay! Okay! I'll show you where they are! Just get your god damn disgusting magic off of me!!" Sythyon smiled. "I'll retract my magic when and if I see Silvera's friends alive." Lothor glared at me and Sythyon fiercely as the lightning turned into heavy chains, tightly securing him as he fell to his knees. Sythyon gestured to the door next to him raising an eyebrow with the same smile on his face. "Lead the way your highness."
