Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Torture

Dagger smirked. "What happened to 'Don't play with the prisoners won't you'?" Lothor laughed. "Like you've ever followed that rule either Dagger." Lothor left the room and Dagger ordered the guards to take the prisoners shortly after. They were brought to their feet and Arine held his glare towards Dagger.

"What are you going to do with us?!" He smirked and turned to the guard holding Cienar. "Take the siren to Lothor's chambers." Cienar tried everything to get free as he was taken away. "Hey! Wait-!" Arine tried to struggle out of the demons hold on him as he saw Cienar disappear around the corner. "Cienar!" Ikko did the same. "You can't just split us up!"

Dagger walked ahead of them. "Too bad. Lothor's orders. Besides, you will be too worried about yourselves in just a moment to even remember that siren." He then signaled the guards to follow him and Arine and Ikko were dragged out of the room. They were brought down the dark stone stairs into the basement where every sound became an echo, and moisture filled the air.

It became hard to breathe and no one dared make a sound as they were pushed down the dark corridor at the bottom. Dagger stopped in front of a wooden door and pulled a ring of iron keys out of his pocket. Selecting the one with a skull for a handle, he slid the key into the lock. A click followed, and Dagger smiled evilly as the door creaked open. "Welcome to my play room. There's nothing like the smell of blood in the morning."

Arine and Ikko froze when the sights of the large room they entered was clear. Hundreds of weapons and torture devices filled it, so there was barely any space between them. Chains hung from the ceiling and the room was hot enough to be a furnace. Spikes were on almost every device with an Iron maiden and a fireplace with green fire spiting out a storm of sparks next to it. Ikko sighed.

"Well we're dead." Arine nodded unamused. "Yep." Dagger, that had walked in ahead of them started to glow with excitement. His eyes lit up the longer he saw the many elements of torture. Ignoring the prisoners accepting responses, he tilted his head looking around the room.

"Now, now, what should I do first? Ah, I know!" He turned around and pointed to the guard holding Arine. "Chain that one to the bed of nails." Arine gasped and was pushed forward. Dagger held his smile as he turned to Ikko. "And that one, use the chains from the ceiling to secure him by the furnace."

Ikko had no reaction as he was taken to the side of the room and set free from his previous chains. His wrists were then tightly bound above him by the heat of the green fire and the armlets held his arms above his head. Meanwhile the other guard had also unlocked Arine's chains and tore his shirt off, but had secured his wrists and ankles over the bed of nails on either side before he could escape.

"Ahhhhhh!" He felt the nails stab into his back as the guard pressed his hand into Arine's chest down farther into the blood stained pieces of metal. His screams echoed through the hall outside the door until Dagger rolled his eyes. "Enough. Don't steal all the fun from me. I don't want to kill them yet." The guard let go of Arine so he could push himself up again, but he was still shaking with pain.

High pitched rasps escaped his lips as tears rolled down the sides of his face. Ikko's eyes were wide seeing him and he looked down to see blood leaking out of the fresh holes in his back and out of his wings. He closed his eyes tightly and turned away. "You bastard!!" Dagger turned to Ikko and started to walk towards him. He smiled as he picked up a sword that was leaning against the wall and pressed it against Ikko's neck.

"You should know, I positively despise angels. They're sick and disgusting and there's nothing more I like doing than tearing them apart. But since you're such a rare breed I'm going to take my time with you." He then sliced the sword down, cutting Ikko's shirt off and leaving a long gash across his body in the process.

"Ah!" He cringed and Dagger licked the blood off of the sword. He put it down after and held his smile as he grabbed a dragon shaped S branding Iron from out of the fire. The tip glowed green and Ikko glared at Dagger as he stepped back in front of him. "This is the demon mark. Anyone who is burned with this symbol is eternally shamed with weakness."

Ikko's glare became thinner. "I don't care." Dagger raised an eyebrow and looked to his blood soaked chest. "Wherever should I mark you?" He smiled again moving his hand to hold Ikko against the wall. He lifted the iron to hover below his pec and pressed it into his skin. "A-Ah!"

Steam emerged from the iron and Ikko's skin turned red, on the brink of melting before Dagger pulled it away. His eyebrows fell down into a crease in disappointment. "Huh. I guess you really don't care. You call that a scream?" Ikko trembled trying to push his next words out through the pain. "This isn't the first time I've been tortured. I'm used to pain... Do what you want to me, just leave the kid alone."

Dagger looked at him in surprise for a split second before smiling again. "And here I thought both of you were inexperienced in the art of torture. It looks like I'm going to have to up my skills a bit. But I'm afraid that means that I'll need to make sure that the fairy feels as much pain as you do too." Ikko struggled hearing him speak.

"What?! You can't! You'll kill him!!" Dagger chuckled putting back the iron into the fire and taking out a crowbar that shared the same glow. He turned and gave it to the guard standing next to him. "Make sure there isn't an inch of intact skin on his back before I return." The guard nodded and grabbed Ikko's arm, turning him to face the wall. "No..."

With the sounds of hitting metal filling the room, Dagger walked over to Arine who was desperately trying to hold himself up above the nails the chains on his wrists and ankles were trying to pull him into. Dagger crouched next to him and ran a hand through his golden hair. "Fairies are so fragile. I love how easily they break. I hear that this is your first experience with extreme pain. Don't worry, I'll definitely make sure it lives up to your expectations."

Arine didn't respond nor did he look at him. He continued to look straight ahead, his eyes wide. Dagger then picked up a cinder block that was next to the frame. "I don't think there's enough holes in you." He placed the block on Arine's stomach, making him press deeper into the nails. "Ahhhhhh!!!" Another wave of tears washed over Arine's face and Dagger stood up. "No one can save you now."
