ZACH'S POV

As soon as I get back to my new house I start processing what happened today. although moving here, to a rather unknown island in the North Pacific Ocean, a human island, may have been for important private reasons, but it seemed to work out perfectly. I think I found Her....

Even if I'm wrong about her, she is still the first person to resist my... my *charm* and I won't lie, something about her makes me curious. I want more of her, I want to be around her, I want to know her, I want to know what it would be like to hold her in my arms, to..... I don't even know but I should stop myself. I need to know more about her and that is where I will start.

Bzzzzzzzz..... Bzzzzzzzz.....

I check my pocket and see a text from Zane, ^Hey, my girlfriend is having a sleepover at her house tomorrow. She is inviting her friends and me, she said I could invite a friend also. Do you want to come?^

Then before I text anything, he sends another text, ^And nothing bad will happen I promise, no bad stuff or whatever. We will just hang out, then the girls go sleep in a room and we would sleep in a separate room, her mom is out of town and trusts her enough to invite people who can be responsible. This is why I'm asking you, I know you won't try to make a dumb decision.^

I laugh to myself as I read this, he actually sounds responsible. I know him better than that, even if I just met him yesterday. We are both on this island for the same reason. More or less. I text him back, ^I don't know, I'm going to be busy for a while.^ Which is true, now that I think I've found her I want to learn as much about her as possible. I also want to be able to get to know this island and my surroundings.

^I know, you want are curious about *her*. But being a stalker isn't the best way to do that.^

^I am NOT going to be a stalker^ I say. That thought had gone through my mind though, for only a split second of course.

^Whatever you say... just come to the party. I promise you, it will be worth it ;)^

He left the conversation just like that. Zane knew I would go now, I wouldn't say no to him, but the way he ended it worried me. I didn't feel like worrying about it anymore than I already did, so I decided to go explore the island.

I had just landed near the beach the locals called the South Beach. Or, as it was better known as, La Playa del Misterio. The Beach of Mystery. I don't know why the beach had that name, but while walking on the beach during sunset, the name seemed fitting. It was like the beginning of a new adventure and the beach gave me the vibe that something important was going to happen in the near future. Then I saw her, I had just gotten to a rocky point of the beach when I saw Emily. She was sitting on a rock watching the sunset. I watched her take a picture of the sunset on her phone then take out a sketch book.

She had a drawing already started on the page she flipped to. I watched her add some colors and work on some shading. There was a very serene atmosphere and I felt very drawn to her. I must have been straight up staring but she didn't seem to notice any part of her surroundings other than what she was focusing on. At least for a while

After what was probably twenty minutes of me watching her, she suddenly looked up as if she was coming back down to earth. She glanced around and I made sure she couldn't see me, then she stood up and walked off the beach into the woods. The wood were behind the beach and she didn't go in very deeply. She walked in, put the sketch book down somewhere, then walked on a trail out of the woods. I watched her leave and then looked where she had put her sketch book, I flipped through it and saw she had some very creative and detailed drawings in it. It wasn't like a straight up artist's masterpiece but they were very nice.

I decided it was time to go home after that. As I went home I wondered what had made her want to go there and draw, I wondered when she started drawing, and I wondered if she went there often. I didn't know the answer to any of those but I did know that the sunset drawing was not done. So I think I might explore the beach a bit more often around sunset, you know, to discover the island.
