CLANG
The sharp sound of metal clashing rang and echoed through the corridor, Elliot looked to his side where a tall knight was holding a long sword. He was the one who had blocked Elliot's attack using only one hand !
"Humph ! How arrogant ! Who are you to dare to attack the baron ?!"
Elliot didn't bother answering and once again used his high agility to go behind the baron and strike but once again...
CLANG
"I'm awed by your speed but you can't kill the baron while I'm here."
Elliot took a few steps back and looked at his dagger, the first time he had believed it was his misconception but there was no doubt about it when it happened two times. He felt like the knight's sword acted like a magnet and attracted his dagger !
'What's happening ? It's really annoying...'
Meanwhile the baron was enjoying the show and laughed at Elliot when he couldn't hit him.
"Hahahahah what is it ? Can't hit me ?"
Without giving up Elliot once again disappeared and struck towards the baron, he wasn't sure what was happening but he knew that waiting wouldn't be very useful, since earlier lots of guards had made their way into the palace and were waiting for a chance to strike him, he looked at them and smiled. The more of them here the less of them to stop the villager's escape.
Once again Elliot's attack was blocked the same way and he started making assumptions.
'It's either a characteristic of the weapon of a skill of this guy, in both cases it's quite annoying but not impossible.'
Elliot had already made a plan in his mind, he kept on using the same method again and again and again, in the end he knew it wouldn't go through but for now all he had to do was to gain time.
He had been in the palace for around 10 minutes so 5 more minutes should be enough and he could proceed to the next step of his plan.
Since a few minutes ago Elliot was being attacked from all angles by the guards and it was getting pretty tiring, he believed that this quest was definitely impossible at a lower level. With the increased intelligence and wisdom he was able to stay calm and could predict the moves of his opponents to dodge them while his high agility stats made it possible for his body to follow.
In this situation his strength stat was the only useless one since the knight probably had an extremely high defense, he had been enduring Elliot's attacks for 10 minutes and didn't seem to be bothered at all.
"Alright, you're encircled now. What will you do ?"
The knight said and the guards all retreated, Elliot looked behind him for a second and he realized the situation had became even more annoying...
Behind him were 4 other knights, all of them wearing the same type of armor and long sword. In this situation Elliot decided to proceed with the next step of his plan, he disappeared from where he was and appeared on a window high away from the ground.
"Spirit arrow."
Elliot said in a low voice, next to his shoulder an ethereal light blue arrow appeared and launched at an insane speed towards the baron.
"Block it !"
The first knight yelled and all of them tried using their swords the cut it to no avail, the arrow left a bloody gap in the baron's forehead and Elliot had already disappeared from where he was.
The knights were left dumbfounded, the five strongest knights of baron Crus hadn't been able to protect him from one person !
"Catch him ! Use all our forces ! I don't care how much time we need catch that man !"
That night the 5 knights and all the guards of the baron were dispatched to find that man in the city but none of them knew what he looked like, the only information they had was his height and a small description of his voice which definitely wasn't enough.
Meanwhile Elliot was surprised to see the usual "soul" of monsters floating above the corpse of the baron while he sneaked in the palace and looked around to find the treasure room !
'Hehe I knew it ! How could a noble not have treasures ?'
He walked inside and there were rows on rows of shining weapons and armors, jewelry, gold, rare books and ton of other stuff.
'I wonder what would sell for the best price...'
As he wasn't sure how much time he had Elliot decided to pick whatever looked the most expensive and in the end he took a stack of jewelry that he put in his pockets and left, the best part of jewelry compared to an armor or a weapon was that it was easily hidden in his pockets, on top of that all the items here had stats so that meant Elliot would be making huge money by selling them on earth !
Then he left the palace, as it was in a chaotic state he just had to be careful and nobody even realized he was there. After safely escaping the palace he started jumping from roof to roof until he arrived at the house that linked inner and outer city, there he spent the night and left the next morning. He took off the cape and went through the gates pretty easily, although the security was tightened they couldn't block the gate since thousands of people went in and out everyday.

Elliot took his time on the return trip to the village and walked while checking his loot, by using the map he could see if he was followed or not and since he wasn't he didn't feel any pressure.

Elliot had been checking the jewelry for awhile now and finally he looked at this ring which made him pleasantly surprised, although the stats weren't very interesting the passive skill of this ring sounded like an insane thing !
He decided on the spot to wear the ring and try it out.
He dashed towards the village and on the way met an extremely heavy bull, on top of its heard written in orange color was the name of the monster and next to it : [Lvl 14].
'Damn... this ring is so cool, it'll make hunting a lot easier since I won't have to guess the strength of a monster anymore.'

A few minutes later Elliot walked inside the now bustling village, he was still wondering why that man had the ring of the mayor and if he hadn't made a mistake but by the sound of it the villagers had came back safely.
