"Alright everyone, should we continue where we left off ?"
Elliot said with a loud voice to outweigh the commotion that had started after Fan Long had left defeated, since this guy had quite a reputation amongst the adventurers Elliot believed he would start being recognized too and that could play in his favor when selling stuff.
'Would you rather buy stuff from a weak adventurer or from the strongest ? The choice is very easy to make, I can use this in my favor.'
The people who were bidding in the auction all waited until Fan Long left and started bidding again, they didn't want to provoke one of the strongest guys just for an item but at the same time everyone was extremely attracted to this item's stats so nobody left.
"I was the last bidder, 112 000$."
"Alright let's resume from 112 000$ then."
Elliot agreed and once again the auction became a heated competition, everyone tried guessing how much that item was worth and how long it would take to start making profit while using it.
"Uhmm 136 000 dollars."
After awhile a cute girl lifter her hand and said, she looked rather young and her style accentuated that even more, she had her hair done in pigtails and she carried a small teddy bear in her arms.
'What's a kid doing here ?'
Elliot was curious but as long as he made money he didn't care who he sold it to.
"Hahah Lucy don't be like that, this item is definitely worth more than that. Little brother there I'll take it for 150 000$."
Elliot looked over and it was another stunning girl, she couldn't really be called a girl anymore and probably already deserved to be called a woman. Although she had a youthful face and was around 20 years old she had a hot body that couldn't be hidden by clothes and that she didn't try to hide at all.
Elliot on the other hand didn't answer but just nodded and waited for the price to go higher, he was already very satisfied by this price since it would allow him to start the real auction but if he could sell it for more then why not ?
"Hey girls I haven't seen you in awhile, you should already know that my luck stat is the lowest amongst the elite, how about you leave it to me, 200 000$ !"
A young black man walked out from the crowd with a lot of difficulties and smiled at the two girls, he was dressed in a great looking grey suit and he looked more like a business man than an adventurer.
'The elite ?'
The young man looked at Elliot and said.
"I heard you defeated Fan Long quite easily ? How about you join our guild ? We are the elite, only the best of the best amongst the adventurers, my name is Thomas by the way."
"What are the conditions and the obligations ?"
"You must be level 6 minimum, our boss is already level 9 and is the best amongst all the adventurers. As for obligations there aren't any, we would just appreciate it if you could help when someone need help and you're free."
Elliot looked at him and said
"I'll think about it, let's continue the auction."
/
A few minutes later Thomas won the auction for 220 000$ and looked as happy as a kid who had just gotten a new toy, he transferred the money to Elliot's account in a minute and he didn't even have to wait, the transaction went smoothly and Elliot handed over the bracelet.
"Alright everybody that was it with the auction, congratulations to Thomas. In three days I'll organize a bigger scale auction, I hope you'll all be present."
Of course the more people there were the more money he would make, while everybody asked him where and at what time it would happen Elliot said he would tell them later as even he didn't know yet.
First he needed a place big enough to accommodate so much people, then he needed security. He was strong but if he was attacked by a thousand people at the same time he probably would die, then the last thing was obviously advertising.
He walked into a random hotel, took a room and started writing down his plan while trying to make it as cheap as possible.
First he called hangar's owners around the place to see if he could buy one for cheap or just rent it, the best would be buying it since it wasn't the last time he planned to auction his stuff as it sold for a lot more money than selling them to the military. And since this place was relatively deserted the price of lands wasn't that expensive yet, he guessed that when the adventurers became a lot richer they would all buy a house close to the breach but at the moment most of them were broke and so the price of the land hadn't risen yet.
/
"Hello ? Yes... hum, it's too expensive, how about this...ok, yeah good bye."
For a whole hour Elliot kept calling one hangar owner after another, most of them who were willing to sell actually gave him satisfactory prices but it was still too much for him now.
Finally he called a last one and was ready to rent if this one wasn't willing to sell or sold at a high price that he couldn't afford but it went better than he expected.
"Blabla..."
After the usual polite blabla Elliot went straight to the point.
"Yes I'd like to buy your hangar, how much do you think it's worth ?"
"Well it is definitely worth more than 200 000$ but I'm in dire need of money so how about 100 000$ ?"
"That's still a little bit higher than my budget, how about 75 ?"
"Alright it's yours, let's meet tomorrow to take care of things."
Elliot was stunned, just like this ? Finally he remembered his unordinary luck stat and though back to the last few days and how lucky he had been.
'Am I cheating ? Sigh...'
Although he sounded disappointed there was a huge smile plastered on Elliot's face.
'I'll make use of this luck stat as much as I can, even the game master said nothing about it so I guess it isn't a big deal.'
