Although he had became a lot stronger recently Elliot still felt pressure when more than a thousand people turned around all at the same time to look at him. They all looked like hungry beasts ready to jump on him to take his stuff, even when fighting monsters in the breach he hadn't felt like this !
It kind of reminded him of that one time in middle school when he had to sing in front of the whole school for a talent show, that day he had been so embarrassed that he had lost consciousness on stage, it was another downside of his loner personality.
As he thought back to then he couldn't stop his heart from accelerating.
'Fuck it would be really embarrassing to collapse now... there are even journalists with cameras and stuff.'
Elliot hadn't expected this auction to go this big but even TV channels had got their interest piqued and had send reporters to film the first ever auction of items from the other world !
'Alright calm down and let's get started.'
He forced his heart to slow down and walked confidently on stage, the loud commotion was now gone, the place had became very quiet, all eyes and camera lenses were focused on him as he walked on stage.
"Thanks for coming everybody !"
He looked at the fifty guards that were positioned all around the hangar and had their guns in a place where everyone could see them he felt better, this auction would go well and then he would have the money for his mom's treatment.
"My name is Elliot and I'm the one holding today's auction, these are all items I obtained myself in the breach and can guarantee their authenticity and high quality.
Without any further discussion let's start right away with the first item."
"Before we start sir Elliot, could you tell us how many items you're selling tonight ? The f**ebook event only said "large number of items.""
"Of course, tonight I have with me 23 pieces of equipment, all of them are jewelry type stuff."
Everyone in the room looked at each other in surprise, what kind of trick did this guy play to get so much equipments ?! The weirdest thing was that all of them were jewelry so most people who had a working brain already guessed that it wasn't looted items but he had probably found a treasure. The loot was random and so it wasn't possible to drop 23 pieces of jewelry on a row, on top of that this type of equipment was the rarest to drop !
Suddenly out of nowhere Elliot was holding a shining golden necklace, it was very thin and delicate and would probably fit girls more than guys but nobody cared how it looked and all they wanted was to know the stats.
While most people were focused on the necklace a group of 11 people sitting somewhere around the front were whispered amongst them about how Elliot had pulled that necklace from nowhere.
"What was that ?"
"You think he's an illusionist?"
"Maybe ? What would a magician go do in the breach tho...?"
"This guy easily beat Fan Long a few days ago, don't you think he's higher level than us and he's unlocked the inventory ?"
"You think this guy is higher level than you?!"
The last one to talk was the cute girl who had bid against the sexy woman and Thomas the man who won the lucky charm, this group who had secured 11 places at the front of the auction were the guild that tried to poach Elliot : the elite; and the person she was talking to now was a huge man with loads of tattoos on his bald head, Elliot knew this person as he was the one was was sitting next to him in the plane.
"This necklace I'm holding is called Eye of the sage, it's stats are very straight forward : it gives you 30 additional wisdom points, the starting bid will be 10 000$."
Even Elliot wasn't sure of the effect of the wisdom stat and so he sold this one first to keep the best for the end, even though Elliot didn't know exactly and only had a rough understanding of it there were some people in this huge crowd who did understand the value of this item.
The wisdom stat wasn't very straightforward in itself, only people who had already felt the difference could tell how useful it was. Wisdom could also be called perception in itself, it allowed you to develop a sixth sense !
Feeling when someone was spying on you, feeling an attack coming from afar and other such stuff that could make your combat ability rise to a new level !
"15 000$ !"
"30 000$!"
...
"160 000$ one time, two times, three times ! Congratulation sir, please come forward to pick your stuff."
Elliot handed the necklace to one guard and told him to take care of the transaction for him, he would rather have done it himself but he had an auction to take care of and so walked back on stage very fast. He believed that no one would do something stupid like stealing from him when there were 50 guns pointed at them, on top of that he had got one guard to check the IDs of everyone in the hangar by a guard earlier and take not of it, if there was an issue Elliot could easily find the person who there was a problem with.
Back on stage Elliot was feeling disappointed.
'I thought people would be more interested in wisdom than luck but I miscalculated, my luck stat is so high that I thought it was worthless but I wonder how much more money I'd have made from the lucky charm if I sold it here with a lot more bidders, sigh...'
"Alright let's move onto the next item !"

Slowly Elliot kept selling each item and after each item a more surprising one came out, since his focus were defense, stamina, strength and agility Elliot sold everything that gave different stats or mediocre stats.
These items would probably lose their value in the incoming weeks or months and so it was better to sell early because the more item left the breach the more supply there would be to satisfy the demand and so now that there was very small supply was the best time to make a fortune and Elliot clearly understood that !
