As the sun was already high in the sky Elliot decided to try hunting more weak monsters, he looked at the map and saw more red dots down the river, the higher it was the less monsters there were. He picked up his backpack and was about to start following down the river when he saw a weak light under the rock he had used to crush the crab.
He kicked the rock lightly and it flew a whole meter away !
'Huh?'
Elliot couldn't help but feel surprised, that rock must have been around 30kgs but it flew away so far with a light kick ?!
'Is this rock lighter than it appears ? Maybe the inside is shallow ? No that's not possible, the feeling I had when carrying it earlier, the huge sound and the dust it kicked when it crushed the crab. Is this the difference made by one level ?'
While muttering his eye was attracted to what was emitting the light under the rock. Inside a white halo was floating one of the crab's claws, it looked weirdly longer than when it was attached to the crab and also had a sort of handle, just like a knife !
'Is this a loot ? Do monsters drop items ? Damn so am I really inside a game ?!'
He extended his hand which went straight through the halo and grabbed onto the handle.

'Wow this really is an item ! Wait... can I sell this to the outside world ?'
Elliot was as excited as a kid ! For his 22 years of life he had finally seen some hope, his mother had developed a unique illness when he was 15 years old and there was no way to cure it yet so all they could do was keep her in a hospital and barely keep her alive but it costed a fortune ! He had stopped high school at 16 and started working together with his dad to pay for the hospital fees, originally he didn't care about the breach but when he heard that a treasure from inside was sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars he started reading about it but at the time it was still prohibited to civilians, when he heard about the breach being opened to everybody he made his mind and not even two days after going in he already had something to sell !
'Should I go out and sell it right away ? The stats in this thing are quite surprising though. If one strength point made such a difference earlier then I wonder what would 5 strength and 5 agility points do ? This could sell for a satisfying price but I'd rather use it to hunt for awhile, I can still sell it later as long as I don't break it.'
After making his mind Elliot walked down the mountain while following the river and watched closely at the red dots on the map to avoir being sneaked on but instead of a red dot 5 or 6 green dots suddenly appeared close to him !
He lifted his head from the map and looked at the river where humans should be but there was no one.
"Aaaaaaaaah !"
"Hugh save meeeeeeee !"
Elliot lifted his head and understood why he didn't see the people, the map didn't have an option for altitude so someone on the ground and someone high in the sky would appear the same in the map.

Water from the river splashed everywhere when the first person fell inside it.

Very soon 3 other people fell into the river and Elliot ended up soaking wet from his head to feet.
"AHHHHHH!"
But he didn't have time to do anything when he heard a piercing voice coming from above, he lifted his head and a girl was falling. Her dress was flapping violently because of the wind so he couldn't determine what she looked like.
'The other ones fell in the water so they are probably fine but this one is right above me, she will get crushed by the impact on the floor.'
As Elliot wasn't a bad guy he prepared for the impact and caught the girl during her fall, to avoid hurting her back he even cushioned the fall by following her momentum on a short distance.
"Are you ok ?"
He asked, the girl's face was covered by her dress that had reversed due to the wind, on the other hand her body was completely open for him to see.
Since she didn't answer he put her on the ground and arranged her dress as it should have been and realized she was a beauty ! But right now she had lost consciousness, he checked her pulse and it was normal.
"Kyaaaaa!"
One young man with dark hair and sharp eyes jumped out from the water and dried himself like a dog.
"Hugh ? Princess ? Where are the others ?"
The young man said while scanning the area and saw Elliot sitting next to the girl who appeared dead.
Elliot also saw that young man and was surprised by his attire.
'How Long has this guy been in this world to have adapted so much ? He's wearing a whole armor and a sword to his waist.'
"You! Did you kill the princess ?! I'll kill you !"
"Huh? Wait dude, I just caught her while she was falling."
"Oh? Really ? Then is the princess alive ?"
"Yeah she's breathing."
The guy's attitude took a 90 degree shift right away, he walked closer to Elliot and bowed.
"Thank you !"
"My pleasure... how long have you been here ? You seem to have adapted pretty well."
"Uh? We just arrived, I didn't think we'd end up in such a deserted place though..."
'This guy didn't research about this place before coming ? He got a death wish... wait how did they fall from the sk—'
"Woaaaaaah! So fun ! Again !"
Another guy this time a bit older than the first one and also more muscular jumped out of the water, he also had the same type of dark hair with a similar haircut to the first guy.
"Uh? What's happening here ?"
The man looked at his friend, the girl lying down and the unknown guy sitting next to her and at the same time two other guys jumped out from the water, this was the whole group.
'Three armored guys and on with a robe ? What are these guys doing ?
Why is there a defenseless girl wearing a dress in their party when they all have heavy armors ?'
"Who's this person ?"
The robe-wearing guy who clumsily climbed out of the water last one asked his friend who was standing in front of Elliot, his friend looked at him. Then looked at the other guys and jumped at him and started hitting him until he lied down on the ground weakly.
"I'm sorry ok?! Sorry! Dammit such a small mistake isn't a reason to beat me up like this !"
"Small mistake ?!"
When he heard that the first out of the water added one last kick before saying.
"Killing us all and the princess is a small mistake ? Anyway. This person here caught the princess while she was falling, he saved her life.
Sir, what's your name ?"
"I am Jun. You guys are ?"
Elliot decided he would keep his identity secret at the moment since he wasn't sure he could trust anyone in here, these guys might as well be treasure thieves that he wasn't aware.
"Nice to meet you sir Jun ! I am Rega, the two other armored guys are Grid and Mogur. Finally the useless magician is Trog and the princess's name is Suny."
'A magicien? Why would they bring a magician in here ? Is he gonna do card tricks to the monsters ? And on top of that a princess ? This party is really weird, I'd rather not get involved with them.'
