Elliot stayed silent in front of the huge door, would a normal human be able to push it open ? That was definitely impossible, each side of the door must have been 25 meters tall and 10 meters wide, on top of that it was made of stone.
'Each door must weight a few tens of tons!
I can't open it alone... maybe bringing people with me ? I don't wanna share the loot tho.'
Elliot tried hard to think of a solution, while thinking he still tried walking forward and pushing the door. So much weird things happened in this world that he wasn't certain he wouldn't be able to push it.
He put both his hands on the two sides of the door and pushed as hard as he could!
"Ughhhhh!"
But even after he pushed so hard that his face went completely red nothing happened, the door didn't move.
'Huff huff. I guess this isn't possible for me...
Wait? What if I level up ? Will my stats go up enough for me to open it ?'
Elliot stood up in a rush and opened the status window.

'If this really works similarly to a game then wouldn't I be given one point to distribute every time I level up or some automatically attributed stat points?'
As there were no monsters around to test his hypothesis Elliot decided to leave this place and come back later, if he was able to boost his strength stat by leveling up then he would come back later alone. If his stat were fixed and wouldn't go up then he would bite the bullet and bring other people here, with a few hundred people he doubted they wouldn't be able to push it.
'This door is so huge I doubt there is nothing behind, I'm certain it's hiding a unbelievable treasure.'
After making his mind Elliot went back to the entrance, he attached the rope to a rock and climbed down. After making it to the bottom he attached the end of the rope to a rock and threw it back into the grotto, if people passed by here and saw the rope they would probably check the grotto by curiosity and after seeing the huge door most people would also guess that it was hiding a treasure.
Anyway he didn't need the rope to climb up, only to climb back down.
Then he walked back towards the river, there he looked at the map and luckily he saw a minuscule red dot going against the current and swimming up the river. His objective now was to kill another crab, there might be easier targets since he didn't know anything about this world's monsters but he didn't have the courage to try, he might just get unlucky and find a weak looking monster that could actually one shot him.
He decided to hunt a monster he knew the strength of, this way he didn't have to take any risks. He waited for a few seconds and the small red dot on the map was already overlapping with the blue dot that represented himself, he then looked inside the water and to no surprise a dark shadow leaped towards him.
Now he didn't have a weapon anymore since he had broken his knife while fighting the crab yesterday but he didn't have a choice if he wanted to check his theory and get stronger. Getting additional stats wouldn't only allow him to open that huge door but also make him stronger and make his survival easier !
He let the crab go behind him by dodging it and realized this crab was missing a leg !
"Hahahah we meet again !
I was so regretful to have left you go yesterday but here you come again to give me your life and delicious meat."
'It should be easier to kill this one since it's injured but will I be able to kill it without a weapon ? Yesterday was all because of luck to be honest.'
Elliot looked to his right and saw something that could be used as a weapon, he started slowly moving right and the cautious crab started walking left to stay in front of him.
After a few seconds of glare lockdown between a human and a crab, Elliot made it to a rock the size of his backpack. He pushed it with his foot to unearth it and then picked it up, it felt weirdly light for such a big rock but he didn't think much about it and kept starting at the crab waiting for it to make a move.
The crab probably lost patience at that moment and started running towards Elliot, he waited until the last moment and plunged the rock straight towards the crab with all his strength however the crab even when missing a lag still moved fast enough to the side to avoid it and jumped towards Elliot neck with its claws to the front, Elliot moved his head back to avoid it and knew this was his best opportunity !
Since the crab can't move in the air he waited for it to be about to land and once again plunged the rock towards it, he added all his body weight to this attack to make sure he would kill the crab. The crab hadn't even touched the ground yet that the rock was already weighting on its back.
BOOOOM
A huge sound was made the moment the crab hit the ground and a cloud of dust and blood raised from the sides of the rock.
'Gross... now the meat is wasted.'
Elliot almost felt like crying, he had never felt like wasting food was so sinful until today but he didn't lose anytime and absorbed the crab's soul, the same refreshing feeling from yesterday spread throughout his body and the notification pop up appeared.
[Scissors claw's soul has been absorbed.
Experience points +180
Level +1.]
'Hmm?
If I remember correctly the crab yesterday gave me 130 experience points, I wonder what's the difference... is it because I killed it with my own hands or was this crab stronger than the first one ?'
Elliot didn't lose anymore time thinking and opened his status page, the curiosity was killing him.

'So it really works like a game ! I'll be automatically attributed 1 point into each stat after I level up. Since I don't have someone to compare with I don't know if one stat point is really effective though I'll have to try it out.'
