Chapter 15 - 14 twin dragons

The clothes that had been picked out for them fit like a glove. Cyan was happy to have received pants that fit him, though he received no other clothes, which was preferable to him. Beka was wearing some form fitting leather armor that hinted at her exquisite body underneath but truly showed none of it. Over it she wore the red cloak that Cyan had given her claiming that it had sentimental value. He grinned at her words, the red cloak making him feel like the big bad wolf.

Unfortunately his plans were foiled as the door knocked before anything could happen. A diminutive girl answered the door, she looked like a mouse, and he realized that it was another beast man that had been used to fetch them. The girl was much more agreeable to him than that arrogant man who had brought him here.

"Sir Cyan if you would come with me the guild master is ready to see you now. Lady Beka this meeting is only for Cyan. If I could trouble you to stay here you would have my appreciation."

Beka agreed quickly, stating she could use a nap anyways. The mouse spoke as they walked "I hope you like the apartment, it is one that is reserved for her Ladyship's special guests. "

"It is by far the nicest place I have stayed since I was born. Though I don't know what I have done to deserve such treatment"

The mouse laughed "the guild master has her reasons I'm sure. It is nothing for a mere servant like me to question. And no before you ask I'm not a slave. Her ladyship helped the beast men receive their freedom, she is an avid believer in equality. I receive housing and a stable wage. It is without a doubt the best treat I could receive in this city."

The mouse led him down the long hallway they had arrived in, up the stairs, but instead of going outside she pressed her hand against the wall. A secret passage opening up. Their was a second set of stairs, this time leading up. The staircase was dimly lit by light orbs. Cyan did not know how long they climbed. It seemed far longer than they should have, as the building only looked to be a few stories.

It took until noon for them to reach the top. Despite his high stats Cyan was winded when they finally reached the top. He could not stop himself from panting. He awkwardly looked over at the mouse. She seemed unbothered by the climb, as she pressed a series of bricks on the wall in front of her. Her movements were swift, and yet unhurried. It was an odd combination. The wall opened revealing a vast open area, the white fluff that covered the floor reminded him of clouds, and the area was rather damp. Above them the sun shined, unblocked by clouds.

The mouse spoke as she walked into the cloudy surroundings. "Follow me, do not step anywhere I do not step. You will not like consequences if you fail to do as I direct. That is not a threat, but even I cannot stop you from falling to your death."

Cyan nodded as we followed the mouse. He could not help but think she was not simple. Her movements were graceful, but he sensed that each step, each movement was calculated. She seemed like a spring that was pressed to its limit, ready to burst out at the slightest provocation. She was not stressed, just prepared to take action.

It did not take long for them to come to a giant palace. Its white colors stood in contrast to the blue background of the sky around it. He was led through the front doors, and they walked into a giant throne room. The room itself was massive, bigger than a football field. In the distance a small throne could be seen, and sitting on it was what he could guess from the aura she felt off, the most dangerous woman he had ever seen. As they approached further news noticed that her dangerous aura was only matched by her beauty. Her figure was perfect, her blue white hair reached the middle of her back, and her eyes were a striking blue color. On her head was a crown, covered in the most beautiful gems he had ever seen.

He could not but kneel as he approached the woman. He noticed that the mouse had done the same. The woman's melodious voice greeted their ears. "You may rise children. Thank you Anna you are dismissed. Cyan it is a pleasure to meet you. " she rose from her throne as she walked towards him, her movements graceful, filled with the dignity of someone who was meant to rule.

She circled around Cyan as he stood there, looking him up and down "so you're the one that finally convinced my brother to take a disciple. I can see why. A reincarnater is rare, and one with potential is even more rare. By why has he sealed your abilities? Why did he make you a wolf? Let me undo that."

Cyan felt a tingling on his body as he could feel the inside of his body changing. He could feel his wolf body merging with his humanity, he shivered and the two combined into his current form. He could feel that he was no longer a wolf. Well not purely a wolf. His current body was his true body, what his body should have always been. He could also feel a sense of loss, as his bestial titles began to merge into himself. The bracelet he had just bought shattering. He immediately felt a sense of loss, his connection to his pack gone.

Anger rose up in his heart as he looked at the woman who could crush him like an ant. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE. WHERE IS MY PACK". He snarled at the dragon, without care for the consequences to himself.

The woman laughed, as if looking at a toddler throwing a tantrum. Her melodious voice comforting him "you pack is fine, they have been freed from the strands of fate that my brother carelessly attached to them. It was unfair of him to bind them to you, not allowing them the freedom they deserve. I have sent them back to the forest, you have given them the experience to be free, to enjoy their lives the way a wolf should. You have also made them powerful. Their lineage will forever become rulers of the forest they now inhabit."

"You have been freed from the constraints he put on you. You have naturally awakened a class. It seems to be one that will fit you greatly."

Cyan glared at the dragon, raging filling his heart "You had no right to do that. They were my friends and my family."

"THEY WERE WOLVES. BEASTS. You are so much more than that. " the woman's deadly aura seemed to ooze out of her, directed at the unruly child. "I will hear no more of this, do you understand."

His body shivered, unconsciously trying to get away from the angered dragon. And yet he growled at the dragon, the look in his eyes betraying the way his body felt. However he did not speak.

The dragon once again comforted the young wolf "you will understand in time why this had to be done, it is all right if you hate me, but you will serve me. Do you understand?"

Cyan uncomfortably nodded at the dragon. He knew he had no choice. The woman began to speak again. "You now work for me, my twin brother Erkai the wood dragon sent you to me son that I could train you. I am the sky dragon Janai. While he has isolated himself in the mountains I have taken a more active role in helping the sentient beings on this planet. Your first task is to explore a dungeon that has been quarantined due to an excessive amount of deaths, you are to find out the cause and eliminate it."

Cyan nodded and turned to leave. The women's voice echoing in his ears. "You will notify Anna of your results. You can consider her your manager, she will give you tasks and hand out the rewards."
