Obviously, the other party was no other than, Clyde himself.
The same warlock, who together with his pet cat, Naomi, chose to live amongst the non-magic human.
He wondered how the other party managed to track him down and what more was that she even managed to read those inscriptions written in ancient Marcellian calligraphy.
The other party surely caught his attention this time, and since he was also currently in need of an assistant, he decided to give Syra a chance.
However...
"Get away from me! You freak!!!"
Syra shoved him away as soon as she regained her footing but because of her abrupt action, she fell on her feet.
"What a clumsy, young lady."
Clyde thought to himself then permitted himself a private laugh.
Meanwhile, Syra crawled her way and tried her best to put a safe distance between the two of them.
She looked around her but the best that her eyes could make out were walls. The passage where they previously had gone through was nowhere to be seen.
It mysteriously disappeared just as how mysterious it appeared in the first place.
The other party took a step closer to her but Syra warned him.
"Don't you dare get near me! Not because your handsome, I would already allow you to do what you want to me."
Clyde was visibly stunned upon hearing Syra's thoughts.
"She is definitely something else."
He thought to himself in amusement but he remained silent and only flashed the other party a playful smirk.
"I won't fall without a fight! So don't you ever dare dream about laying your dirty fingers on me! Over my dead body!"
Syra said with so much conviction in her voice.
"Uhuh... Is that so??? We will see about that."
He replied with a scoff then he nodded his head mockingly. Following his words, he took another step forward to close the distance between them but Syra started to act hysterical all of a sudden.
"Stay away from me! WAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!! RAAAAPPPPEEEE!!! HEEEEEELLLP! Please! Someone help me!!!"
"WOAH?!!"
Even he was surprised when he heard Syra's exclaim.
"Hold on missy! Rape you said?! You must be the one dreaming here. Mind you. Even if you undress in front of me. I won't even bother to look."
Syra on the other hand was not exactly sure what to feel when she heard him said that. She did not know whether to feel offended by his poor evaluation of her or if she should feel relieved that the other party did not have such kinds of lecherous thoughts about her.
An awkward silence followed afterward but it did not last that long because as soon as Clyde took another step again, Syra started screaming as well.
"NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Help! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! Help!!!!"
She shouted at the top of her lungs.
"If I were you, master, I would freeze her again."
Naomi who had enough of Syra's hysteria made a suggestion to his master. That effectively made Syra stop what she was doing.
"Naomi has a point. If I were you, I will just keep quiet. Do you want me to freeze you again?"
Clyde turned to Syra and gave her a choice but rather than answering, the other party only asked him back.
"What are you guys exactly? Are you an alien???"
"No, I am not. Do you think an alien could be as handsome as I am?"
Clyde replied with a coquettish smile pasted on his comely face.
"Then you must be a devil, are you???!"
Syra concluded and dread soon clouded her features upon that realization hit her.
Clyde on the other hand could not help but do a facepalm when he heard Syra's absurd idea.
"Your imagination sure knew how to run wild."
He said while shaking his head, then he turned to Naomi to ask him.
"How was it going there, Naomi? Are you done?"
Due to her previous preoccupation, Syra failed to notice that Naomi was actually doing something at the corner. It was only when Clyde raised his question did Syra finally took notice of what Naomi was doing.
Naomi, the talking tomcat had a quill and a small piece of parchment before him, and next to it was something that looked like an ink of crimson color.
But what Syra found more intriguing was that the cat was actually propped in the same table and was poised as though it was writing.
"Just give me a moment master. I am almost done."
It replied and just like what it said, a few seconds after that, Naomi came to them bearing a written document.
The cat handed a paper first to his master, then he moved towards Syra to hand her the other one. Meanwhile, when Syra finally had a proper look at the cat, she almost peed her pants!
Not only was it standing on its hind legs but it was also smiling back at her!
Now if that could not be described as freakish, then nothing else could be
